This was, hands-down, the best online gaming experience I ever had. I'm so fortunate to have found an article in GameInformer about this. I can vividly remember the day a friend and I went and bought it.

It's 2022 and I'm honestly just back for the song. But then I also remembered how amazing this trailer was; I watched it over and over on PS2. Classic.

I'll never forget how sad I was the day I came home to play mgo like every other just to find that the servers had been taken down.
The image of soldiers saluting Snake and Snake responding with chomping on a cigar has been stuck in my head since 2005.
Light years ahead of it's time. Now people are hype for MGO (MGS5) and they don't even realize how godlike the original was.

It was great but never played it i had the game since 2007 and at that time going online was hard still had my ps2 too bad they closed servers for MGS4 too mgs v online not that good missing a lot

I had only the chance to play MGS4, but i missed online, and never played It, feels so bad..

I must have been 14 when this was out. Maaaan....so many great memories. Remember having a big back tv and my first dolby sorround sound system (pro logic II) I am still with Playstation years later. I have the 5 and hopefully a new MGS comes out, even if it's the rumored remake. But please package a MGO with it.

This blew my mind as a 13 year old and I never thought I’d ever get to experience it until my parents surprised me with getting someone who was tech savvy to set it up for me for Christmas back in 2006. Golden gaming memory.

This trailer was uploaded after the servers closed, (the servers closed back of April of 2007). Kinda sad since the game only lasted a year and a half.

Been playing mgs3 my whole life and I didnt know this existed...
Yeah well back down info wasn't so easy to gather like now. Their was XPLAY,magazines and message boards that was about it. I believe this came out in 06.

I know its really and I mean really late to ask but I just got substance for ps2 and it be cool if any one knows if you can play online still its a old game I know this but is there any way I can jump on mgo
no the last online service for ps 2 games was closed (btw the last game was final fantasy and ended this year)
erkan öztas That has nothing to do with this server anyway,since to get in this server you need to use Gameshark codes to bypass DNAS and to make the game connect to the private server
erkan öztas Or any other cheatdisc that allows you to use codes that edits the game RAM,and also for PCSX2 you can use the pnach directly.
