I love this skin tint. I’ve been looking for one with light coverage and lasting power and this works great with my skin. I tried it with the hourglass veil mineral primer and it was like I hit the lottery. Lol. It lasts perfectly all day. Doesn’t fade, doesn’t dry out, doesn’t get splotchy. It’s my new magic duo!

Arlo looks so cuddly, friendly, bouncy and very handsome 😍 I'm definitely/absolutely getting this skin tint. It's kinda everything I want from a skin tint. For me, not having any SPF in the formula is a bonus - I always wear my own SPF and any flash photography won't be affected by "flash back" 😊 I would've loved for there to have been a couple more neutral shades in the light medium range. Fabulous review! This skin tint looks great on you. As I was watching your review, I was wearing it, too. I love the formula, but on my Sahara desert dry skin it is not hydrating at all. After only 4 hours, it’s looking pretty dry and crusty around my chin and mouth. I did eat, but it’s not like I was getting food all over my chin. I don’t know. I already use lots of hydrating products before applying makeup. Oh well… On a totally unrelated side note, have you ever tried zitsticka? I learned about it from another influencer, Leah (I can’t remember her middle name, but I do know she is from Iowa). I use their patches for deep down acne, and I find them so helpful. Your baby is really growing up!
I'm glad you mentioned the skin tint adapted to your skin tone over time. I noticed that during the swatches the last comparison clearly showed shade 9 was much darker than in the previous comparisons. Thanks for a detailed review !
Hi from France Tara😊 thanks for your review. I just received this skin tint today in shade 7 . Yes I regret the mank of neutrals but shade 7 is perfect. It's like an hydratant cream, so pleasant for my dry skin. It's less covering than danessa's skin tint but super confortable. I'll see how it's behaves next days. Gros bisous 😘😘😘
Update: well, I decided to give the skin tint another try, and I love it. None of my complaints from the first use happened. 🤷🏽♀️I don’t know what I’m doing differently. I just know that it looks great and lasts all day (even on especially hot days). Thanks so much for all you do to test products. ❤🤗
I was in Ulta yesterday and had that Tula skin tint in my hand and put it back. I bought refills of the Wet n wild tinted hydrator instead. I bought my first tube of that at Five Below on vacation a month ago and haven’t stopped using it. It has decent coverage (even though I don’t really need any coverage), and lasts all day for me with the CT setting spray. I wear a mask at work and that setting spray keeps my makeup on my face. When I don’t use that particular spray, most of it ends up on my mask. I may try the Hourglass one later! Thanks for the always thorough reviews Tara!
I have been watching you for so long I know your skin like I know my own. If something works for you I can 💯 rely on it working for me too. Truly appreciate the way you clearly explain the differences in all your skin tints so we don’t even have to ask! It’s hard to find one without SPF. Summer Fridays 4 was a perfect shade match but not enough coverage. I adore Light Wonder but have to mix shades and would like more coverage and longevity sometimes so I am def giving this a try 👏🏼 Thank you Tara ❤ I hope your stress subsides soon. After watching your video, I went out and purchased the Skin Tint and Ambient Glow and you were right...perfect together. Skin Tint is great alone but for me the dab of Ambient Glow ups the coverage just a smidge and that's all I needed. Also, agree that less is more. This is a great product for aging skin, even with my large pores which were quite blurred.
Tara...wonderful review. I'm a huge Hourglass fan and have been waiting for the reviews due to the price!!!!!! There are days in our long summer here in Texas that I only want a little something to have a polished look when I'm out running around.....this looks like it will work perfectly.

I've been using the augustinus Bader retinol serum for 1 month 2 twice a week and have not had a hormonal break out on jawline since. Its truly phenomenal in all regards may work for you if your getting adult acne.
I have been enjoying my sample. And yes, I’m missing the neutral options but am in love with the product. It’s a great summer option falling between a light to medium coverage with a soft radiant finish
Glossier skin tint is my favorite but I've been trying to find something similar to it because like you said it wears off. So now I'm excited to try this one! Thanks Tara! Love your recommendations :) 😊😊

I really want to try this but wasn't sure what shade cause I saw a super pale person get 8 and I'm med tan so I thought maybe 9 or 10 . So happy u tried this cause I swear everyone that reviews these tints are super fair skin and I want to see the darker shades so I can figure out what color to buy.
I thought I’d be shade 10 and when I tried it in the store..I was right. It’s a neutral and the tone I prefer. I’m pretty medium, not really considered a “light medium” except for the Haus Labs one. I got shade 280 light med neutral in that one, which I would never say that’s a light medium🤷♀️
@@nancygriffin9023 the house labs definitely confused me I heard the shades are opposite cool isn't cool at all and they run weird that is why I haven't ordered it yet cause my crappy little Sephora I have here doesn't even carry H.L or hardly anything for that matter so I always have to order stuff online .

Even in store and with a sales associate helping me, it was confusing! I will say if you can order a shade somewhat close to what you think you’d be, do it. It is the most beautiful, light weight foundation! Like I said, they label what I would call true medium shades as “light medium”. I got #280. My daughter bought #210. It is a gorgeous shade..maybe a bit more peachy in tone to the #280 but I can also wear it. If you’re more medium or even light medium, I’d start with the 200’s numbering. The 100’s were too light in my opinion. I think it’s sheer enough that most people can wear a couple shades and not sweat it too much. As long as you’re in the range you like. I love the Chanel No. 1, as well. (Shade B40 in that). BUT, I grab the Haus Labs more often. It’s silky, light and has a gorgeous finish☺️
I have not tried a skin tint because I like more coverage but I like the idea of using concealer first or mixing in a bit of foundation...hmm.🤔 The glow is so fresh and pretty but your skin is Gorg!!!❤

Thank you! What a great review, I have to try this. I do really like Typology tinted serum, but I also like trying new skin tints. I had the same experience as you with the Westman Atelier drops...thought it looked ok when I first put it on, wore it out to brunch and my daughter said, "What's going on with your face?" Ugh-- it had completely broken apart and made my face look patchy and porous 😞. I'm using the rest of that one on my décolleté now.
It's a really nice skin tint, I just don't think it's worth £49, it's really nice long wearing but if your skin is acting up it doesn't help, tried it for two days with different products, I have skin tints with better coverage and I felt like it was making my acne worse, my skin looked heavily textured with it, your skin prep has to be just right with this... I opted for true match foundation instead and very surprised at how nice it is. Thanks for great reviews as always Tara ❤

Thanks for the review! I couldn't really find a shade match although 11 was the closest. It just seems a little off and makeupy on me. For light coverage, I'm going to repurchase the Chanel Les Beiges shade 50 (the one released last summer).
I just picked this up yesterday and I was actually disappointed in the cool tone options. The medium shade is too light and then there’s no more cool/pink after that. I haven’t been able to use the Foundation because the shades are either straight orange or green or yellow. Their cool shade 9 is literally straight orange. So I bought shade 10 but I’m lighter than Tara so we’ll see how this goes. I have a terrible time finding foundations in general because cool/pink is so hard to come by especially in medium shades. They Always have a fair shade in cool tones but never medium. 😢 I’ll test this out this weekend. Glad to know it’s Tara approved!

Tara, did you find that this skin tint oxidized during your wear tests? Also I do not recall you mentioning if you used a primer and if so what was the primer you used to control the oils breaking through?
I didn't have any issues with Oxidation, but, I did feel like it adapted to my skin once I applied it. And, in the review, I didn't apply in primers or powder. But, I definitely prefer to wear it with a oil controlling Primer on my tzone with a little powder😁🩷 Hope that helps🙏
@allibag I have the Water Tint, but the shade is Beige and it's grey on me so I haven't been able to wear it much. I'm sorry, I can't really compare them💔🩷

You are so right. Dark marks from pimples don't even linger because of retinA. Have you tried retinaldehyde? Its wonderful, as well.

I have not tried a skin tint because I like more coverage but I like the idea of using concealer first or mixing in a bit of foundation...hmm.🤔 The glow is so fresh and pretty but your skin is Gorg!!!❤

Thank you! What a great review, I have to try this. I do really like Typology tinted serum, but I also like trying new skin tints. I had the same experience as you with the Westman Atelier drops...thought it looked ok when I first put it on, wore it out to brunch and my daughter said, "What's going on with your face?" Ugh-- it had completely broken apart and made my face look patchy and porous 😞. I'm using the rest of that one on my décolleté now.

It's a really nice skin tint, I just don't think it's worth £49, it's really nice long wearing but if your skin is acting up it doesn't help, tried it for two days with different products, I have skin tints with better coverage and I felt like it was making my acne worse, my skin looked heavily textured with it, your skin prep has to be just right with this... I opted for true match foundation instead and very surprised at how nice it is. Thanks for great reviews as always Tara ❤

Thanks for the review! I couldn't really find a shade match although 11 was the closest. It just seems a little off and makeupy on me. For light coverage, I'm going to repurchase the Chanel Les Beiges shade 50 (the one released last summer).

I really like the sephora COLLECTION blemish concealer and it WORKS. You should try it.

I just picked this up yesterday and I was actually disappointed in the cool tone options. The medium shade is too light and then there’s no more cool/pink after that. I haven’t been able to use the Foundation because the shades are either straight orange or green or yellow. Their cool shade 9 is literally straight orange. So I bought shade 10 but I’m lighter than Tara so we’ll see how this goes. I have a terrible time finding foundations in general because cool/pink is so hard to come by especially in medium shades. They Always have a fair shade in cool tones but never medium. 😢 I’ll test this out this weekend. Glad to know it’s Tara approved!

Big gaps in undertone! I cannot wait to try number 3. Number 5 was way too dark and the undertone was completely off - way too peachy weird color.

You are the only one that looks good with this skin tint! I got it after watching your video but it doesn't look as good tbh.. lets just say its an AVERAGE skin tint. Nothing special.. Can you please share your concealer and highlighter recommendations with it? That could help i guess..

Tara, did you find that this skin tint oxidized during your wear tests? Also I do not recall you mentioning if you used a primer and if so what was the primer you used to control the oils breaking through?
I didn't have any issues with Oxidation, but, I did feel like it adapted to my skin once I applied it. And, in the review, I didn't apply in primers or powder. But, I definitely prefer to wear it with a oil controlling Primer on my tzone with a little powder😁🩷 Hope that helps🙏
