- I always wanted to know wich track was longer or better or if there was much of a difference at all. by putting these videos side by side I got my answer.
Track alpha was hard to find with the lights on so it is old (2006) and has a few differences.

What a neat idea for a video. I enjoyed it and can't wait for other track/layout comparison videos! Also I've heard the alpha track is 10 ft longer than omega to allow it to cross the other. Splash Mountain would be an interesting next subject. Keep up the great work Sir👍
They're pretty much identical. The only differences are that all the turns are all mirrored and Alpha is slightly longer by a negligible amount (only 10 feet, just long enough for the two tracks to cross over each other). Now the Matterhorn at Disneyland, *that* would be an interesting side-by-side comparison because the two tracks on that ride take *significantly* different routes!
I can totally make a quick video on the Matterhorn track differences
Or Tron?
They look like mirror images. And I would have never known that before!
I was surprised too
I'm very impressed 😁!
I all the time been near and around space mountain. but my relatives are the only ones that road it, since 1980-1985
i think that even though alpha is longer, it looks like omega could potentially be a little faster based on the video unless it has more turns or drops
Your last side by side, starting at 4:23 shows why Omega is better. Alpha clearly has a slight headstart, but Omega picks up more speed and is thereby more thrilling. I came here cuz I could have sworn Omega had more drops, but now I realize it's just the speed of going through the elements that make the drops feel more potent. You've done God's work! 🥰
Before doing this I thought the same thing
But the alphas track is slightly longer at the second turn and thats when omega catches up idk
@zzzopi exactly. Alphas turn being slightly longer causes it to be slightly slower.
even though they’re so similar, omega always makes me feel sick for some reason
Omega is definitely the one I prefer, instead of two smaller drops it has one big drop.
I didn't notice that
@@ParallelDiscover I didn’t either until when I was at Disney a few days ago.
My Dad has been on the ride probably 50 times, and he told me. So we went on both tracks (the lines were insanely short) and I could definitely tell.
@@Grant62 I always notice one felt more intense. That is partly why I did this but they look so similar so I thought it was all in my head
Both Tracks look the same!
Omega vs alpha
Is this the space mountain from disneyland adventures
It's the magic Kingdom space mountain at Disney World
bro they’re the same thing but opposite literally nothing changed lmao
Yes, exactly
