Inside the Episode: A Rickconvenient Mort | Rick and Morty | adult swim - Krátké a kreslené filmy
I like how Beth immediately felt bad once Morty told her how everyone made him feel unimportant seems like she can relate
@Ethan Dile please explain what you mean, I'm afraid the brain worms in your boomer skull are chewing through the part that structures logical coherent sentences.
@Ethan Dile oh no Parents feeling bad about themselves ,what a terrible tragedy
@Ethan Dile wow changing the subject and not answering the question why is it bad for parents to feel bad about their decisions/statements and why is it Liberal Hogwash
@Ethan Dile and don't fucking say it's liberal hogwash because of a pro eco stance (which is very debatable) because news flash their are Eco conservatives there are literal eco fascists (the maga shamen is one) their are Eco Libertarians their are Eco Socialist/Marxists/Communist/Anarchists I can go on and on, or are you talking about how the first episode has a three some which is stupid to be against because the three persons are consenting adults who wouldn't be hurting anyone in the process of the three some so who tf should care. And I don't know if it's true but I think you are confusing Liberals with leftists/Leftism.
@Ethan Dile ur not making any sense dude
“Man, the a plot is really depressing.”
“But hey, that B plot has violence and street fucking alright!”
I consider the B plot to be the primary one, and the A plot mostly inane drivel there only to give it a little context. :P~
@SMA Productions Yeah, it wasn't as tight as some others. I like the growth of the characters, but I feel like everything moved a little fast. I mean, yeah, it's a 22 minute episode with two stories to give you a smorgasbord of feelings being crammed in with one another, but still.
They should force a team-up between Planetina and Supernova to take Rick and Morty down. ♫ Annie and Britta in Rick and Morty ♫
the A plot too got a rest of violence i mean cm on everyone got a politician who wanna do that
Exactly
@@nickv1212 *to take rick and summer down
Allison Brie was the perfect choice for Planetina, her range from innocent and sweet to dark and chaotic was done so convincingly, and you could feel her pain as she told Morty to "F*** off" and flew away.
It's especially poetic given the nature of Allison Brie and Dan Harmons friendship/working history.
I loved watching Morty murder the Planeteers, so brutal and satisfying.
My jaw dropped when I saw Planetina start going crazy, and having Morty choose to end it really hit home. The score was impressive and the music video bit was very artistically reminiscent of a child like dream. Love can make you feel that way, especially the first time.
The scene where Beth comforts Morty was heartwarming, I didn't expect that to be so thoughtful and raw. I wish I had someone there for me like that the first time I had my heart broken, and I applaud your appeal to showing how to comfort one, rather than showing vitriol or malice towards the situation in the name of comedy. A class act decision.
Great story, great casting, and the B-plot was fairly predictable in the end, yet still threw some thoughtful curve balls, but completely entertaining to watch. It was a great twist to have Rick become the attached one, showing he still has a longing for love after cursing it for so long.
Mad props for this episode guys!
E.
I can only agree. I never thought that a phrase like “fuck you” could make me sad
@@GeorgeDemin i agree. That last "fuck you" had such emotion behind it. Allison Brie delivered that line so hard and I felt it.
Totally agree, the ending with beth hugging morty its just so powerful
Im quite surprised to see Beth finally taking up her role and bringing them up to a family trouble moment. And finally, after so many times of Morty's love interest getting interrupted by a third party (fking jerry and rick in that episode turning everyone to praying mantis), Morty gets to love and fk up on his own, though he still loves her. My man, Dan Harmon.
love these dramatic stories in the episodes, thought the B plot even did well with the themes. great episode!
Whoa. I thought you were in video games.

Good to see you here Haedox! Hopefully your comment isn't bombarded by some toxic people like mine was. And yes, I also enjoyed having an episode centered on one theme through both of its plots. The season is starting off very solid so far!
Me still waiting for new vids for ten months
I doubt that they're gonna bring back the new characters, especially Planetina and Nimbus, but I have hopes
Same.
Yeah we learned from evil morty
Kinda feel she is gonna comeback in the same sorta way as Tammy.
They might bring them back in the Vindicators spin off.
in the vat of acid episode there was that girl too. this boy's gone through some shit
Main plot: Morty falls in love that ends in emotional tragedy
B plot: *S E X*
The house sex was fire tho
Well that also happened in plot A just remember flower scene.
@Miguel Messina yeah even if it wasn't shown the sex was still there.
@Miguel Messina yeah that shit is happening right now. Honestly hope morty relationship with that captian planet chick continue or maybe give a redemption arc for that chick one day.
@Miguel Messina yeah I really want this relationship to continue its way better then what he had with Jessica too be honest (now that she's a timegod).
I think Rick was such a wreck in this one cause he realized Morty will leave him at the drop of a hat for even a sliver of happiness and his one supporting character who is literally always with him to the end practically told him to fuck off
@Joakim Boström Rick hasn't fucked Morty's life. Morty's stupidity and lack of control, ruins his life. Summer and Beth are more or less fine.
@Joakim Boström most of the time dude warns Morty & he lets it happen bc of what he would rather have than what would happen, it goes both ways but I hope morty also realizes that him being selfish is fucking Rick over at the same time
@@Gr8Games134 Morty's mistakes are justified considering he's a 14 year old boy still learning about himself and the world while Rick is a potentially ageless drunkard who regularly abuses Morty. Rick purposefully keeps Morty in the dark to maintain control over him.
@@themastermason1 also Morty tried forcing a girl to love him w that love potion so that choice was made on his own in the beginning & I don't think that can be justified just cause he's 14 years old, dude's planet turned into a dimension that the real rick & morty left because of what Morty caused & left because of what Rick tried to fix, Rick hated knowing he was the reason everything was going downhill when they went to that one planet that's smol asf which was when he turned himself in
He's got big balls for even doing that for his family, E v e r y o n e keeps saying he doesn't care ab anyone
Well if he doesn't why is he making sure they stay alive w all of his protection? He has his own way of loving which is wack but Morty's is idek
@@Gr8Games134 Rick generally lacks sincerity, and often a good deal of maturity, so it's hard to know when Morty should CARE about his warnings. And yes, he is trying to control Morty, often times - even if he self denies it.
When Planetina said: "Fuck you" and flew away crying that felt so fucking real. You could really hear the devastation in her voice. She doesn't say fuck you because she hates him, she says fuck you because she loves him, but she can't be with him
god i LOVED that. it's so bittersweet. especially in comparison to how she visited him through the window and was kissing him between talking and then they spent the night together. just pure, innocent, youthful love. and then it ends in tragedy. her voice actress did an incredible job. also when she said "i'll go, but don't you dare ask me to understand" it felt so fucking raw and it broke me a little. they really loved each other
@@Dean0ne yeah it was so sad. She accepted his decisions but said she couldn't understand AAAAAAAHHHH it makes me soooo saaaaaaad
@@clarity-1850 i really hope they bring her back in a later episode! her character is so amazing and i think it would be interesting to see how she changes over time. if this really is the last time we see planetina i will be heartbroken, it's so sad how it ended. and to think she's somewhere out there and we wont see her again. idk. it would be really cool if she'd be back and maybe she'll be better and morty and her can have another chance?
@@Dean0ne Yeah I hope she comes back too! There's supposedly going to be an episode with the return of the Vindicators, maybe she joins up with them?
I'd like to see return in later seasons and see how much she's changed. Maybe she'll do like Jerry in season 3 and get a rebound partner (or whatever it's called)
I’m glad they kinda shelved Jessica as a love interest who’s always just out of reach and are instead letting Morty have these romances. It’s really interesting.
They probably haven't completely shelved her. 1: Jessica has rejected Morty before. 2: Morty has had other love interests before.
The only reason Jessica would no longer be a love interest for Morty would be due to her new psychological questions about herself.
I don't think he had any reason to truly love Jessica. I feel like he was just horny. We know nothing about her personality whatsoever. She was more or less a plot device.
@@yosefdemby8792 that pilot scene tho lmao
She’ll be back
@@yosefdemby8792 We do know some things about her personality, like how she is generally nice, especially compared to the other popular students at her school.
She also seemed to be one of the few people who didn't immediately reject Morty, judging by how whenever Morty's tried talking to her, her friends are always trying to get him to go away, but she herself is just smiling at him, waiting to see what he's got to say.
It makes total sense that Morty would have a big crush on her based on what we know.
Of couse, he doesn't "truly love Jessica", but he wasn't "just horny" either. He has a crush on her. He likes her. It doesn't have to be anything extreme like "truly" or "just".
The parallel between Rick and Morty's relationships is that Morty has one of the best and worst time in his love life while for Rick, its just another Tuesday.
nah man... morty is becoming like rick
No? The last time Rick entered a relationship he already killed himself, he is far from being emotionally removed from relationships despite how strong he wants to portray himself.
@@kblacklabel if he doesn't get himself away from Rick yeah
@@kblacklabel did u watch the episode? Its summer who is becoming more like rick
@@maylabrown4584 Rick fans overpraising him. What's new?
Really thought they'd mention the fact that the A story is about love and saving the planet, while the B story is about love and watching planets die. I wonder if that juxtaposition was intentional.
when you find some Kalaxian Crystals and smoke them out of a space hookah anything is possible I mean look at the gear wars for instance. Let me pull out my white board...Burp. This has been a long time coming.
It was totally intentional at least the A and B plots having their focus on ideals of love with summer and rick saying fuck love and fucking anything that moves and Morty finding and getting with someone who truly loved them.
It's more like "the A plot is about love and how difficult it is to mantain it stable in a relationship while the B plot is about running from love and meaningful connections in a nihilistic fashion and how difficult it is to run away from it when love can came in so many shapes and different ways in life (like the platonic love a grandfather may feel for his daughter and viceversa)."
The part about the planets are an enforcement of a different theme in the story, the idea of self-preservation as a species and enviormental nihilism.
ur cool. a cool dude
One is sweet and quut while the other is loud and disgusting.
Best episode of season 5 by far. Bc it tells a Realistic depiction of a failed relationship that is relatable, where nobody gets what they want in the end & both end up heartbroken. props to the writers on this one.

A plot: Morty does everything to earn the love of a girl who truly cares for him only to realize her extremist views are too polarizing for him to be involved with.
B plot: HELLO
Season 5 is gonna have its Morty centered episodes like episode 3.
One thing we learned for certain, is that Morty is growing to become a stone cold killer. Think about how many times Morty has gone completely caveman on some deserving S.O.B. in the most brutal way. Rick was right. A cocky Morty can be a real problem.
He's become more jaded and understands that sometimes killing is necessary, but he still hasn't lost his goodness and moral compass.
Honestly, I don't think he should.
I bet he turns into a rick but not full rick just like about a quarter or half of iy
@@matti.8465 Yeah i think he's just gonna start progressively killing for less and less of a good reason, and once he finally crosses the line of him killing someone for literally no reason he's gonna see himself as Rick. Or it's just gonna be Rick and Morty and do whatever the fuck it wants while still making it very thought provoking and not stupid.
“Rick was right. A cocky Morty is a problem.” Ha! As if the way he acts and treats Morty doesn’t have a thing to do with how he’s turning out!
Remember that memory in Morty's mindblowers where Beth is given the choice to save either Summer or Morty and she chooses to save Summer without any hesitation or second thought
It was so mesed up 0_0
Never understood that. She wasnt even planned.
I think it has something to do with maternal connection being stronger with the first born more than the second child
That doesnt really mean anything with them going to different reality and now clone Beth
@@malakai9818 usually it's the opposite. The younger child is thought of as "the baby" of the family and is more in need of being protected. Especially because the elder child will often have to take care of them at some point, so the parents view them as more responsible and in less need of protection.
It's why parents are usually more relaxed with disciplining their younger children (unless they let the older child do whatever they want and are trying to correct their mistake).
I love how Morty didn't keep the rings. I think after *owning* Balthromaw he learned that he doesn't want to have that kind of power over somebody. Planetina's kids wanted to sell her, so he freed her.
He used the rings to destroy the rings
Wait, what did happen to the rings? Did he give them to her?
@@kingslushie1018 I bet on that
what did he do with the rings? i was looking for them on their hands and never saw them after morty killed those people. I thought planetina would have them but she didn’t.

Did they forget about the time Jerry f up Morty's relationship with the glasses girl? I thought that was the first time Morty got heartbroken.
Yeah but when actions don't have consequences, they don't count as much. This relationship was much more meaningful because it never had a do-over button.
@@Suecotero84 the episode literally said by Rick that the remote doesn't reset the timeline, it just jumps between the timeline and Morty still has to face his consequence just like the click movie where the remote got the reference off. The do-over button didn't do anything throughout Morty relationship with the girl. The last time he uses the remote was before he met her. And only fcked up by Jerry. So it does count indeed.
I know that was the moment I really started hating jerry, such a dumb f.
@@boocomban you're forgetting the end of that episode
Rick just used a different universe to merge those timelines and then left it implying they would never come back
@@colin3ds1 In the end, Rick merge all of the timelines into the present one, where everything Morty fcked up before that comes back and bites Morty arse so Rick can force Morty to admit the idea of the Vat of Acid worked. The name of the episode itself is The Vat of Acid... and the end where Rick talk about the consequence and the multi timeline is not RESET. it obviously happened because it happened to lead to the end... the vat of acid the point of the episode.
"Last chance to pee on me!"
"-so everyone gets a little bit of what they want out of this."
😂I was looking for this comment
While the rest of the story with Morty and Planetina was the main focus of the episode, I feel like there's another thing this episode did that has even bigger ramifications for the arc of the series, even if it was a bit more subtle here. Morty actually *ditched* Rick. And later on, while Rick was trying to shrug it off by roping Summer into his apocalypse orgy idea... it's pretty obvious that he's actually really bothered by Morty losing interest in him. I saw the whole B story idea as Rick's way of trying to mask his jealousy and dejection. The dynamic between those two is rapidly shifting, and as much as he likes to think of himself as a living god who can science his way out of everything... Rick is actually at a loss. This is something he doesn't know how to handle.
It'll be interesting for the show to explore more of these maturing themes, as both Morty and it's audience is now growing with them. Like an arc where Rick and Morty will have kind of a friction because Morty is finally hitting puberty, where he don't feel like going with Rick's adventures and shenanigans anymore, and find himself exploring things more independently. Classic teen angst and romance, just like this episode.
incredibly well said. the fact that rick will always lose the control he wants/needs over the group has always been hidden in plain sight each season, usually only brought to the spotlight for the finale, but we're getting it so much earlier than usual. gets me pumped for what's next

Based? 😧
Every villain in the current generation
Or we could try literally any of the other solutions that corporations won't let us try because they have too much political power. Everyone I know who supports population control owns a couple guns and is scared of the government doing exactly that to them and their family, but obviously they'll be fine if the government starts doing population control? Cause they're not the bad people who are gonna get population controlled? Or they've got guns to protect them from their own policies? This is some backwards ass logic and isn't gonna end well for anybody.
Humanity learns nothing from this, it'll learn that when times get tough, we don't need to put our heads together and do some of the steps explicitly stated that would help the situation, let's just kill the poor people. @@movienight6437 I mean, Harmon himself said, that the premise of the episode wasn't "love isn't real", but how relationship works
This was a fantastic episode. For some time I felt like Rick and Morty lost its balance, specially with Season 3, which broke the impact of the dramatic moments by making them too frequent. This, on the other hand, had a nice balance between the A and B plot. An emotional story surrounded by comedic elements is always where Rick and Morty is at it's peak. Planetina being controlled by four grown-up and money-hungry adults is extremely funny, but also messed up. THAT's when I can really appreciate Rick and Morty's emotional side as a show: when it's ridiculous, silly, unleashed, but also true and respectful to its characters.

The episode dynamics are fantastic. Every comment section I see someone who didn't like previous season for X reason loving new stuff or vice versa. I think that is gonna keep this show going. Almost pleasing everybody but never trying too hard to please just 1 random subsection of fans. You get something new and the quality of the writing being put out is still very top notch. Its honestly almost a perfect show for me even if I don't absolutely love every single episode.
It’s really awesome to see Morty develop more and be more confident about his decisions without letting others to take him down.
This episode was a lot deeper and sadder than I expected. The ending packed such an emotional gut punch. Episodes like this are what make 'Rick and Morty' such a great show.
“Yes love ends in tragedy but it would’ve been too easy to be cynical.”
Sometimes we just need to see it play it out as is.
Morty going through an actual full breakup when he just can't be with someone who cares for him for legitimate reasons (though amped up with R&M style) is a really good choice for this season, which is definitely centering on the family's growth.
And Summer puling an ultimate Rick move herself by averting an apocalypse just to prove a point was absolutely hilarious.
We haven't really seen how she does in school or if she tickers with things, but I think she might eventually go on her own solo adventure with Space Beth.

I'm glad their changing the callousness of the family if not characters in general, makes them more real, don't know why they're against serialization i mean look at Family Guy smh
I feel like Episodic stories get a bad wrap these days, they can work and be done well in the right hands, episodic stories can also giveway for more freedom in the writing due to not having to play as hard to one ongoing story
Not saying serialized is shit or anything, just that both have their extreme strengths that can be utilized, so i get why anyone would stick to one or the other
@@theradionicrevival8068 I love the episodic nature of Rick and Morty
But, I just wish the characters would age a year or 2 already. It feels weird that Morty's still 14
@@theradionicrevival8068 Absolutely, for example The Sopranos has a great usage of episodic stories such as the Christmas Episode or the Pine Barrows Episode.
But doing it the other way around, being episodic and then having serialized episodes, makes the flow of the show kind of off at times.
I mean just look at the episode where "The Writer" of Rick and Morty writes in people like Evil Morty (who is a serialized character, not a one-off) and wastes his character by having that be the first time viewers see him interact again with Rick and Morty.
You can have your A-Plot and B-Plot intermingle, but that episode just smashed them all into one jumbled mess, reminds me of Regular Show where the whole point was anything can happen.
But that show still kept continuity despite being mostly episodic, I hope that Rick and Morty keeps this structure, giving actual stories while still putting weird crazy shit in the B-Plot.

Poor Morty, for the longest time, he never fit in or felt he belonged even within his own family.
Right in the feels...the poor kid.
I feel his pain. 😥
This episode was elevated with "I am the Antichrist to you"
Morty did the right thing, a Jerry would stay by her side as she ends whole countries. Imagine what she would have done if she had visit the Ganges river.
The problem is that she is bad at finding good solution
Hate the system not thr people
@@bismuth6558 true my man. maybe Paletina could of used her powers and reach to run for officer or an awareness campaign. I think Morty should of called out some of her actions sooner before it got to the arson and then eventual murder.
Saying "a jerry would do" is so fucking cringe lmao
@@PodreyJenkin138 facts man
May I just ask? Is Morty gonna forever be a 14 year old boy like Ash Ketchum being 10 years old forever?
He is 15 in Season 5 i think
Yes
I asked myself that question, yes he's not growing lmaoo
Sure hope not, I need some x rated rick and morty before the show is over.
or how stewie griffin had his first christmas like 5 times
Honestly this episode made me break down into genuine tears and actually helped me tackle the break up I was experiencing at the time because I can see myself in the same boat as morty in a lot of ways, seeing morty cry and feel his pain and it to be taken seriously within the context of the show made me truly feel like I could finally cry over what I was experiencing, thank you whoever wrote this episode
Loving this season! Every episode has had me laughing so hard. I like how you guys are taking more risks with the scripts and using ideas that most animated shows wouldn't touch. Brilliant work all around and I can't wait to see where we go from here.
*Plot Twist* She ends up dating Diesel Weasel.
Every time I think about diesel weasels little meniacle laugh, I die laughing
I guess we'll just have to wait and see... next slime
I mean he did say he would get her next... slime
You might be joking but i legit think that IF planetina appears again, she's either going to be dating Diesel Weasel or a joke will come up about how they hooked up
That literally hurts my head thinking about the POSSIBILITY of that happening. Unsure if I want that or not lol.
Dude this episode was intense af, this whole season is just so fricking good!
@Jimmy Plumber you must have terrible taste then lmao, this season is shaping up to be one of the best
This season is starting off great, mr Nimbus, the Decoy family (I didn’t fully understand that episode) and now planitina. I’m so exited for the next episode and maybe we’ll see some old character come back like evil morty, that rat guy and mabye mortys girlfriend from the vat of acid. It seems like this season is going in on mortys love life for now but who knows…
@Jimmy Plumber i agree i belive this is the worst season yet im very disapointed
@@wayblu2799 nope, definitively the worst season so far. it'll have to work hard to beat the dragon episode as the worst episode, but i didn't like most of the episodes so far. the only good one was the decoy family one. that's the shit i like. not cheap teenage drama, rather, tons of weird sci-fi what-ifs.
It's so SAD.
The music, the compilation and the narration. It makes me cry.
This was honestly one of my favorite episodes so far
What‘s the song?
"The first time Morty gets his heart broken"? Isn't that the second one? season 4, episode 7. A vat of acid. That girl with the glasses? Anyone?
@supersoniclegend watch the episode again. you didn't get it. when morty "kills" himself in the vat, she's in the crowd and goes away crying. rick merged the worlds so she remembers all of that at the end of the episode. she just thought morty died.
@@GraveUypo You should go back and watch that again. Cause that was a different universe than the one they lived in full time. Rick even says he wouldn't sacrifice their home to teach morty a lesson
Jessica telling Morty they should just be friends after going into existential crisis
To think that the only healthy relationship Morty has ever had is the gag that was made to make the episode a bit longer
That's F-d up
this episode hits different for people going through heartbreak or have experienced it
Thank you so much, Dan. One of the best episodes of all times.
Poor Morty. He’s been trying to get into a relationship, but it’s either we should be friends, I have a boyfriend, or I have to build a theme park.
This episode in particular just didn't make any good sense given Morty as a character. Just a couple episodes ago he was slaughtering innocent masses over a bottle of wine for Rick. This episode he is throwing away his chance at happiness because he sees his girlfriend dor the exact same shit that he does on a regular basis. No moral revelation about his own moral failings. Just sees Planetina arbitrarily slaughter a bunch of people like he often does then loses his love over it?
To me it just feels like a super forced way to make Morty suffer because that's how we know Morty as an audience. Morty isn't Morty unless he's bullied, suffering, and failing at love.
Guess I didn't feel like this episode made any sense.
@@Skapo difference is the reasoning, and how morty feels. Planetina was a bit of an escape from all the cynicism, violence, etc. to morty. He saw her as different from Rick, the family, and a lot of the people in his life. Morty also has been established to kill for moral or emotional reasons(usually both, like in this episode). He has never been one to slaughter innocent people, what you on ab?
@@thatnikkakris2339 Two fucking episodes ago he slaughtered innocent masses over a bottle of wine so that he could get back to making out with Jessica. . . .
@@Skapo They were trying to kill him? Shot all kinds of shit at him. Did you forget that part?
@@Skapo
1. He was horny for Jessica
2. They were trying to kill him and that was probably annoying and confusing because of the time warp
Plus hes pretty hardened on the destruction of non human life as shown in much of the massacres that he helps rick with. So the destruction of a civilization of people youve only ever seen in like 3 10 second increments probably didnt phase him that much.
Yeah, I think *this* episode demonstrates why the Planetaires only bring her out in short burst.
If she stays manifested for too long, she'll start to notice the bigger problem that could be easily solved by there being.... 'less' people in the world.
I felt like that was some measure of a Thanos inspired moment, especially when Morty picked up all the rings and put them on all at once a-la Infinity Gauntlet.
Thank you for this ep.
I got emotional when I saw the whole episode, out of all the rick and mort episodes I've seen this one made me cry almost and i'm still not over it
I like that Morty is growing up. In the past the joke is that Morty is horny and horny people in comedy shows never get what they want, which is the neverending joke. The audience expects a loser who always return to status quo. As Morty goes through actual relationship experiences instead of just oogling at boobies, he slowly slips away from the loser role into the main protagonist role, whom the story and the audience expects to get the girl. Without actual heartbreaks, the character does not yet deserve a happy ending, and now Morty finally does.
well said
That is until you watch the promo for episode 4 xD Back to square 1 lol. But yeah this was interesting to see morty break someone elses heart for a change.
@@jonathanhostettler3724 Yeah, he's still a horny teen, but that's part of his character. After Planetina I think we'll stop seeing him get interested in women solely because he wants to get laid.
@@matti.8465 Good thought ^ I agree. They are doing wonders with Mortys character this season while Rick takes the B story. It's honestly really cool to see for a change.
Horny people always get what they want they just don’t expect to fall in lesbians
It’s like “The Boys” in a way. Planetina was like a product of Vought, not knowing how to be a proper super hero, and being used for publicity. Here’s Morty this nobody falling in love with said hero not knowing that she’s like a sheltered child. It has the machinations of good story telling in a 22 mins timespan episode.
That’s great comparison, honestly.
Well, she can channel Homelander now. There’s no one left to control him, either...
Nothing good comes out of magic rings
@@BenHopkins1000 Homelender is controlled by Edgar
morty taught her killing was justifiable if it was for the greater good, since she's an immortal being born from the planets elements and can feel the planets pain she needed to be guided or controlled, which is why when morty broke up with her she said "I'll leave but don't you dare expect me to understand"
morty broke his own heart by not giving her a second chance or taking responsibility for teaching her that killing was justifiable.
Favorite episode of all time.
"My whole life I have never fit in anywhere. Everything I have ever said is met with an eye roll, if the act of hearing what I have to say is some exhausting chore" hit me like a train.
Bittersweet perfection
I’ve been fully obsessed with this episode. I keep going back just to watch the romance unfold again and again. This one honestly deserves an award!
I really hope she returns later on.
Should shes on pocket mortys You Know?
I just watched the episode and now i'm fucking sad as shit.
@@noahbachfrandsen1533 For real, I really hope they don't just forget about her and act like nothing happened.
I thought the same thing at the end. When she flew away I was just like "She's gotta show up in another episode later right?".
Why you fu@!ing sap why you even watching Rick and Morty. Love is just a chemical released in the brain that compels animals to mate..
Morty is a POS anyways, how many people have died because of his urge to mate?
The best part was when Beth went to hold Morty. Hands down
This is the one episode that will simmer for a long time as one of the more under appreciated episodes in the series.
This brought me back memories, like damn.. this was a really good job
also Planetina is voiced by Alison Brie. the fact I loved the most. hope she comes back as Planetina in another episode.
She was so good!
She better be coming back in a sorta Tammy/Space Beth kinda way, my man! Morty deserves a real chance to explain himself.
There will be an episode later which has a title riff on a movie about a guy getting over his ex so Planetina might be in that
@Darcy Royce Therapeutic Art In Rhythm And Rhyme I mean, he kinda did save her from being an item rather than a woman, and yet she has no respect for his feelings or opinions on how to tackle climate change, like he gave her another chance to “live” and she repays that with death, they should at the very least talk it over.
Spoiler!!
I freaking LOVED when Morty told Beth how he felt after Beth told Planet Tina to leave, it’s so refreshing to see Morty be more assertive and expressive as opposed to being a doormat most of the time. I can bet a lot of kids who grew up being ignored and pushed around must have fantasized about doing something like that themselves for years, I know I have
Really great episode. Maybe my favorite season so far. Love to see Morty and Summer's growth as characters. Planetina and Nimbus are also great and I hope they are brought back!
Why can’t morty have a relationship for more then one episode
I don´t know. But for this reason i know in the moment i see the trailer that Planetina will be dead, or become crazy (and in the end, the second option was the closest). Morty will never have a happy relationship and the fandom know.
Technically there is still the possibility for him to be together with that other girl, when he got the replay-button. She might be still alive, so if they reunite... They could possibly be together.
I feel like since the series is more episodic, they can’t be too continuous since things have to stay fresh episode after episode
@@CherryEye it’s going through an identity crisis with the episodes being both serialized and episodic
@@sekiro7397 yeah definitely so I think they’ll try to keep planetina tied to the series through reoccurring scenes which is why they don’t kill her off by the end of the episode
what is the music in the background?
I love how it went from a sad romantic story to just aliens fucking in the street
Morty made some seriously character development in season 5. I have the feeling he doesn’t let people push him around anymore not even Rick and try’s to get what he really wants. This episode was easy S Tier. One of my favorite so far
This episode was *Solid* it was real it felt genuine! Damn Morty never got this amount of legitimate character growth for a long time!
Incredible episode written by Rob Schrab. Creatively I think he's been knocking stuff out of the park, with R and M, and his Creepshow episodes (which if you haven't seen, you should remedy that as soon as possible)
This seasons been really great so far. Can’t wait to see what’s to come
And here I was thinking that nothing could top the Vat of Acid episode, but this one is on a whole another level. During the whole thing I had this feeling things were gonna go bad, and boy did they go bad. And the worst part is, everyone goes through that first relationship breakup so it's relatable to almost everyone watching. This season is just killing it.
I think its pretty clear that morty is growing a lot lately, beth says hes 14 years old, but planetina is right when she tells beths that morty is a really mature person, also i feel like the further the show goes the more intense i get this vibe of rick wanting to die, or kill himself, like giving himself a really stupid reason for him to die, and that makes me wonder, can rick even actually really die?
Anyways, i wanna be honest i cried with this episode, it took me to my adolescence years really hard. To me it was an amazing episode, really deep and very emotional, showing a lot of growth on morty and summer.
I love how the writers break down their little cartoon like it's Tristan and Isolde, or The Great Gatsby....against the backdrop of their pervy humor in the parallel plotline.
Little cartoon? Enjoy condescending much?
@@rawx485 It's Dan and Justin that have made it "little" by diving into deep *perv* storytelling. They should be so very, very proud. Society really needs more of it!
This episode really relates to people who experienced a heart break... it really made me cry
Really loving the new characters being introduced every episode.
there's gonna be a lot of Planetina Rule 34

I feel as if they are setting up a sinister 6 for the vindicators episode, with Nimbus and Planetina
Also Mr. Always-want-to-be -hunted he is definitely a major villian in this...

Truly I hope she comes back like shit this was an amazing episode. So far season 5 has been bangers
I'm not sure who was her voice acter,
But damn did she do a good jop
I was crying while watching this episode. The feels and emotions.
Both of the main characters (Rick and Morty) have a heartbreak on th eisode but for Morty was the first time.
We already see Rick have a heartbreak before with Unity, was more intense but now, with the alien girl he doesn't care so much.
Him and Unity had a lot of history. He just met Daphne that week.
In fact, this is at least the second time. Do you remember the episode "vat of acid"?
Rick's heartbreak really was at the beginning with Morty being so eager to ditch Rick. The whole b plot was Rick pretty much coping with Morty's decision in the most irresponsible idgaf way. Summer didn't deserve the way she was treated, and I know she's seeing Rick for how he is now
They should have spent more time developing Planetina's character instead of having her go from normal to batshit insane in the span of a single montage.
true but planetina not having a heart ring made a lot of sense by that moment
she's been pretty high strung from the first moments, and being suddely 'free' certainly overwhelmed her and her emotional balance
To be honest, I was predicting an ecoterrorist ending but seeing as how morty has obliterated entire society’s I didn’t except that to really affect him as much as I thought it would.
I figured her going on a rampage was an unfortunate side effect to being sentient for so long. She lives long enough to see the problems of the planet as a whole instead of each individual crisis she is summoned for and couldn’t handle being overwhelmed.
I think that fast paced switch its what makes it so funny, idk maybe
This is one of my favorite episodes
0:18 never before have I seen an animation that displays this level of sadness.
Props to the art team.
B plot was amazing...previously on
“Rick & Summer”
I'd be devasted if she comes back, only to sacrifice herself in order to save him, and dying in his arms
It would feel like 1000 needles straight through the heart.
episodes geting better and better
This episode was so well done
