      I'd like to note that healthy and unhealthy isn't black and white we all struggle through life and face hardships that may for a time make any of us no matter how patient or kind, unhealthy. The other side of that coin is the beauty of being unhealthy and finding a healthy balance. It's wondrous when you see someone slowly find themselves healthier and happier it not only impacts them but the world around them.
      ALSO as an infp I have to note. You need to accept when you can't change things from the inside. I basically put myself in a retail blender for years at the cost of my mental health and later physical health trying to change a flawed system. If you don't take care of yourself and find a balance for what you can and cannot handle you will never impact the world and people around you in the way you wish nor will you improve your own quality of life. We are all capable of amazing things but we need to care for our own mental health at times and appreciate what that means.

    Dude the thing about healthy ENTPs being hard to spot is legit. I spent the longest time thinking I was just a more tolerant and realistic ENFP. Stereotypes can really mess people up

      @madcat6299 Před 2 lety +20

      True. I was confused about my type before as well, going back and forth whether I was ENFP or ENTP. I am considered a "feeler" compared to the stereotypical edgelord ENTPs.

    • @GG-lv8mi
      @GG-lv8mi Před 2 lety +26

      Relatable I am an ENTP with a highly developed Fe and like being a caretaker and empathic ENTP made most of my friends think that I am an ENFP which made me always doubt my mbti alot but at the end of the day I am still an ENTP
      In addition to that the debate stereotype really doesn't make sense tbh I really have no passion for debate I mean yes it is fun when you find a person who has both good listening and speaking skills so the debate will come with good results and conclusions but when the debate is too chaotic (no one listen to the other one and everyone just want to prove their pov despite it is true or not and it end up without an actual solution) you'll just find me out of it or I simply stay quiet bcs tbh I prefer to keep my internal data and information to a better argument where "winning the argument" is not the aim of it and having fun by sharing different ideas and getting a right conclusion is the aim.

      Personally I think the Jung and mbti system is flawed. I think all the archetypes exist in everybody's mind. And for some people one archetype might be the main one that they identify with or operate as. But I think we all kind of blend them all together. I don't think the brain is linear like that. Like, an entp and an ENFP have very much in common. So there's not really a way of delineating the two from each other. I don't really see them as actual solid categories. But that is just my personal opinion. For example, I usually get infj, but I've also gotten enfj, and I've gotten tests that have told me that I could possibly be isfj or intj, etc. I mean, the only difference between infj and intj, is that one of them factors in human kindness.

    • @beckhall6479
      @beckhall6479 Před 2 lety +4

      @@zzzcocopepe I get what your saying, but a major factor of that linearity is the function stack everyone posses (as in everyone uses each function, while some take seniority). Personality will never be a complete science, but humans really like putting things into boxes. Personality theories are more of a tool for self improvement and expression than anything else

    Unhealthy Intj: pessimist.
    Only one problem with how things are going, one problem, and it plagues my mind for a long time. I disrupt every long term effort and give up to short term ones. I sleep till noon, eat very little or a lot, chainsmoke and waste my time.
    Healthy intj: Regular Se user. I found out that not multitasking and just focusing your energy at one task at a time is the way to go.
    Sometimes, you must postpone thinking about something, until that thing or event is upon you.

I haven’t been able to “accomplish” as much due to constantly seeing where I can improve and do things better. I’ve always had a need to accomplish something everyday. For a few years, it hasn’t been consistent. I can’t even sketch, build my website, research, without constantly finding a way it could be better. However, now I’ve seen and heard there is a problem. I really wonder what happens when two unhealthy ENFJs are in a relationship. Is that when you get the "What do you want to do?" - "I dunno, what do you want to do?" conversations?
      I definitely grew out of people-pleasing, at least mostly, after my divorce and the leaving my ex-bf. But I think certain relationships and conditions are apt to trigger it all over again, even now. It's not a matter of healing once and you're done. I wish it was that easy TBH.

      (INTJ) I have an ENFJ friend (believe it or not!!!), and this people-pleasing aspect seems like it will turn off as many people as it will charm. It seems to me that first slot Fe is likely to over-promise and ultimately under-deliver simply by spreading oneself too thinly, and becoming unreliable as a result. As an introvert, it just seems more practical to me to focus more on a smaller trusted group of people, to whom one can promise and reliably deliver things simply by means of not being over extended.

I want to be liked and seen as helpful so I tell myself I will play along for now and wait till the time is right. Even my abusive relationship with my sister didn't end immediately once I made up my mind about going no contact because I saw how hard things were for her and was scared how cutting ties with her would make things worse for her. Always seeking perfection at myself and making personal growth my primary objective.
    I don’t understand the concept of being ok with mediocrity. For me it’s like accepting defeat and acknowledging self-Failure.
    Someone help me understand the other side of this.

    • @jankyyard5610
      @jankyyard5610 Před 2 lety +1

      Accepting mediocrity and setting realistic standards are two different things. I think a marriage between your perspective (seeing from different types of lenses) and effectiveness (your metrics/standards/test) will give you understanding to differentiate the two.
      Applications:
      1) Try to record and measure your results and make that your own standard, or whatever productivity gurus set things up. You'll have bad days and that will put into perspective on how you can be mediocre and bad sometimes...and that's okay.
      2) Don't expect other people to match your standards. Record or mental note your team member's performance, then set it up as their standard. If you want your team to perform at their optimal level (especially in crucial moments), then find their values and use it. Since everyone is a slave to something.
      3) Mediocrity is fine as long as it's not about your career or your values. If it's about games that don't really matter to you because of past time, then playing like a game journalist is fine. Meditation helps to calm things down.
      P.S. You probably knew these stuff but role-playing as a "sage" in internet is fun as an INTP.

    Thank you! As a particularly whimsical ENFP, this happens to me a lot. If I follow my fancy without restraint I'll lose my attachment to reality and my obligations. Unfortunately, I mean that quite literally; the world becomes a big blur of feelings and concepts and the real, practical world becomes so unbearable, so horrid and sharp and defined, that I'll go deeper into my imagination to get away from it.
    I don't mean this in a 'look at me, I'm so imaginative and quirky' sort of way- it really isn't an attractive quality. It means I'll ghost my friends, ignore daily self-care routines, let important deadlines go ignored, avoid negative emotions, etc. At worst, I can get so deep into my own imaginationland that seeing my reflection surprises me- not because of what I look like, but because I have a body at all. I've sometimes wondered if I suffer with occasional derealisation.
    Regardless - It's the monotonous daily tasks that bring me back down to earth, and as much as I despise them, they keep me sane.
    On that note - I've been getting better at keeping to schedules! I've always wanted to write a book, but thought I'd never have the patience to actually do it - but here I am, 45,000 words in and still going strong! Must be a miracle!

    I'm not an ISTP, but that one resonated with me more than the others.
    I was actually once typed as an ISTP, but I know now that I'm on the Ne-Si spectrum because I ask questions like what if people had birds for ears? Or what if their knee caps were filled with jelly, that seems like Ne to me.
    Also my Se is extremely low, usually on tests (I know it's not a reliable source, but there are consistent patterns that can help) but I usually score Se as the lowest, except on the last quiz I took where I got Te as the lowest.
    Usually I get Ne or Si as the highest which really doesn't make sense since their on the other side of the coin, but I guess if they were in the middle, like if you were an ESFJ or INTP then they could be a bit balanced, but them both being the highest seems more likely that I'm probably giving more weight to one than it actually has, but which one? I'm honestly not sure, currently I've settled on being an ISFJ.
    Great video btw, I learned a lot.

      Idk if people are just saying they're INFJ because it's the rare type (even though in typology servers, there will be 12 INFJs and like one or none SJ, which are said to be the most common type.
      However, that probably doesn't matter in this case, since I think that MBTI attracts N types more than S types, and plus didn't they take the pool of people, to decide the most common type, from an office job or something? That would make sense why the majority were SJs.
      I actually did think that I was an ENFP for awhile, but I'm pretty sure I'm on the Ti-Fe scale, I've watched a lot of videos, and that seems to resonate more with me but also I have trouble with Ti vs Fi, which should be simple, but a lot of things I value and choices I make, they make logical sense, but do I value them because they make logical sense, or do I find a way to make them make logical sense because I value them?

    I strongly disagree with the perfect moment point that you bring up regarding infj. Because, if you take a step back and look and see when the actual perfect moment is, then that is the perfect moment. That saying, that there's never a perfect moment, that applies to a different issue than INFJ's issues. "There's never a perfect moment" is for the person who refuses to take the Next Step. Infj doesn't refuse to take the next step. They're timing it correctly. That saying has always confused me, it's never been used directly toward me, but whenever people say it it always throws me off because I always do things at the appropriate time. And the appropriate time is the perfect moment. So it's just kind of funny that you bring that up regarding infj, because we do have a link to that, but it's kind of inverted. For us, the advice would be to trust our instinct and do wait for that perfect moment. Because we read all the instructions and we see how it works and we know when the perfect moment is going to hit and that's when you strike.
    Another saying that always gets me is that you have to step outside your comfort zone. That's not how I operate. I have already made it my comfort zone to be open to new experiences. So if you're comfortable with being open-minded, then why the hell would I step out of that zone. I'm already in the zone. That advice is more for people who are close minded. Not that anyone applied it to INFJ here. But yeah it always confuses me when people say that. But I guess it is a good saying because it encourages people to be open-minded. But I don't think you should be uncomfortable with that. I think you should be comfortable with healthy growth. Rather than stepping outside your comfort zone, I think you should get in the zone.
    Honestly my biggest issue as an infj is dealing with the other types. Most of the types are extremely disrespectful and close-minded. So I think, for me to grow from where I am, I need to learn to stop trying to lift people up who refuse to be uplifted. Because it's just causing me anger

    • @jankyyard5610
      @jankyyard5610 Před 2 lety +2

      I guess you are not open minded enough nor comfortable in "stepping out of comfort zone" as you proclaimed, base on my evaluation from the last paragraph. Open minded people never gets mad at people for being "close minded". I'm using my INTP sledgehammer but...Have you ever thought that you're the one whose being negative or close minded all this time?
      If you want to stop uplifting people who refuses to be positive, then....I don't have genuine advice for this. Having apathy is just natural for me so I don't have steps nor practical application for this. Try to change your values I guess.... like "helping people through problem solving" rather than "helping people through happiness meter".
