I think this was the best upgrade option i was looking for. Pioneer ddj-400 will soon be on ebay. Denon just delivered. I do like pioneer but im gonna make the jump.

Definitely going in the right direction Denon! The screens the software and the prime series is outstanding but the prime 2 is something a lot of us have been after! But agree with a lot the price is to high
I have to wait for Serato support (hopefully quick) so I can do video sets still. But this looks like the 2 CH mixer I've been looking for. Thank you for having XLR master outs on a controller this size. All too often the 2 channel ones feel like toys and it's why I've stuck to 4s so far.
Dude even my rmx 2 which smaller than numark mixtrack had xlr master. Recent released controller are stripped down unit like toys. Rmx was built like a tank.
No Serato support. This is not going Serato as I understood.

I also wait for Serato DJ support. I dont get why only the Prime 4 got it. Why do 2ch controllers always need to get that much castrated? Please Denon and Serato, team up for us!

You forgot to mention. You cannot hear the MIC signal through the headphones. So if your into broadcasting or recording or just want to hear the MIC that someone is talking into ontop of a noisy room. Just something to be aware of. Hopefully this will get addressed soon.
Now if you guys could put in accessibility like Voice Over in the Headphones for example into that rig, I can tell you that you'd have an untapped market that will buy these rigs. I know quite a few blind and partially sighted that would jump at something like this. And since this runs on it's own OS, I think VO is something that is doable.
This looks like the 4500 prefaced and then some and some more.

Mind the unit size. Most users are fine with 6", me included. Not everyone is a scratch DJ :)

I'm thinking to upgrade my DJ console from the Stanton sc-s 4dj i own.
My choice would be the Denon prime2 (so i can link it to my akai force).
.. but now it is discontinued. But is it still supported? Will new prime firmware updates work on it?
In case, instead, would it be possible with an sc-live 2 or 4 get to link the akai force and use abelton link (or somehow) ?
I have a question? Is it possible to change the track key on this model.

No. Recording is disabled when using streaming services due to copyright purposes.

James Clark touch screen is smaller and the jogwheels don’t have the Rim lights like Prime 4 does. What a shame...

Actually it is not needed. Mind the Rim light is solely for the dual layers A/B. Which you dont have on the Prime2.
