Wait till Namm 2020 in a few weeks. There will be an announcement from Pioneer DJ on there new flagship CDJ. It goes in cycles of every 4 years and this is the year they should be announcing it. I am waiting patiently before I either purchase Denon or Pioneer.

@@Stereomodedj CDJ i'm sure you know is the flagship top model player they are called CDJ's. Buying a CD is up too you but pioneer is due for a new top model player. XDJ, CDJ or whatever it may be.
The Pioneer platform has a serious issue: they have a single CPU and are not PC based so their system is absolutely not modular or flexible. Pioneer now has to reinvent it all and need to design a totally new hardware platform. Denon is lightyears ahead. Denon should now push the clubs and top DJ's. There is no reason anymore for people to hold on to Pioneer. They have not done any innovations for years and are tremendously overpriced.

@@Engineeer Yes. There are plenty of regular updates for the players and the Engine Prime software. Theyve been Rekordbox compatible for quite a while now.

Awesome product and software. I do see the players will support m.2 mvme and ssd storage in future designs as SATA standard runs its course.
No reason to have NVME in such players as Sata HDD will be more than fast enough and Sata SSDs are already far more than fast enough, the player is even shown having a Crucial M500 SSD being placed inside, as it's a standard Sata port you can already fit SSDs. NVME adds nothing to this except a higher price-tag, but no speed increase in this application type.

had the pleasure of playing on laidback lukes personal pair a few times in my city..the options and everything they go through in this video are incredible. the build quality is solid. only thing i HATED was how loose the faders and buttons were on the mixer.felt like a fisher price toy. other than that..solid for the price point
The X1800 faders aren't any looser than an A&H. If you want a thicker feel, you can put grease in them. The X1850 has some grease in them now.

Go to Denon Dj Forum, there is a feature request about it. I think this option is on the way already.
They are so great. Only one thing i miss, (star rating is ok, but...) Rekordbox Color rating to sign the track with energy (for ex. green for lounge, yellow for opening, orange for warmup, red for maintime, pink for bangers - in one second i know which tracks to choose, which not. That the time is for orange only, or red - i think this is the best feauture on Rekordbox at least in performance mode, where you can see it in column.. Try to think about it, when i would switch, i would miss this little thing so much.. It could be 10px wide stripe near to album art...

Just a humble request' Kinkdy make a SC-6000M Prime with a 10" inches Motorize Plater with a good stylish dots black & silver metal combination on the side' (instead of pure stainless glossy metal on the outside)
U can use same elements on the Plater but this time with a tone down color for more serious professional looks & feel,.

@@richariz7896 According to Phil @Digital DJ Tips, the processor speed has increased. But , just like we weren't given clock speeds with the SC5000, there is no detailed clock speeds for this supposed increase either. So, it's just taking their word for it.

aahh yeah those rubber CUE / PLAY buttons on the 2500 / 2600 units. i miss them, i still have those old days units. im about to get the 6000's. i hope they are as solid as my older units. mind you i have never used Serato or laptop to Dj. i am old school from tech's 1200's to 2600's ...moving to 6000's.

It needs flat overview waveforms not the up and down spikes and not sure about the 6 thousands but the 5 thousands cue and play buttons were glitchy when tapped repeatedly anyone experienced this?
I have 2 of these and while there are many great features not all of them work. It'll be some time before we're out of beta. Things are still in test mode.
So why does the new DENON SC-6000M have the same ''3600 clicks'' per revolution as the 2012 Denon SC-3900?

Just hoping they don't drop support for sc5000 and x1800 now that there is a new kit. I don't see them doing it only cause it's basically the same internal architecture but you never know. I mean they hid that sc5000 had wifi what does the sc6000 have that they are not saying. Interesting, very nice update but I'll stay with my sc5000 and x1800 for a few more years so please Denon don't drop support or you'll get a lot of people pissed off.

It should be 8 pads with hot cue, beat jump, loop and auto loop. It can be smaller. The screen can also be a little smaller, but touch sensitive. Those screen can have lees information than SC 500. Two usb sticks or even one is enough. The jog wheel cen be smaller. I think in cheaper wersion we don't need streaming services. Those player doesn't have to analyse new music. 600 $ would be a perfect price.
is it just me but how on earth are you going to plug your USB in the back at a gig or am i missing that there one on the top of the deck?

@@MorganPlay I'm not sure, with my prime setup I've got my ssd mounted so would have to put into computer mode to transfer to the ssd. But I do have a thumb drive and I can put any music I need onto that and then use it. They may have changed it with this hardware but I assume its the same protocol across all the prime hardware...
@@superlazy3355 Why? Besides damage from bumps the HDD is just fine and if you're throwing your decks with such force (>70G acceleration...) to break the HDD the decks will be ruined too anyway...
Yes SSD is faster than HDD, but not when sequentially reading music files, both the SSD and HDD are much faster than what you need to just read some music files...

You are on the right Way but plz fix the Jogwheels and rework the Prime Engine the Software is realy poor.
1 tb memory no less.... My only complaint is why the prime series are not using prime numbers to mark their models. Otherwise totally mindblowing performance!
Because it is based on the Legacy of the famouse first Denon "dual layer" (Alpha track) deck - Dn-S5000, and it's successor DN-HS5500 with worlds first full Dual layer and data LINK. plus it also had a HDD bay, that was swappable for CD drive.
The problem with this one, as with the prime 4 will be in the prime engine software. Using the prime 4 for a few months and I can honestly tell you the bpm detection and beat grid algorithm is still all over the place, specially when converting other liberators into Engine Prime. Hell even tracks streamed from Tidal on the Prime 4 have issues with correct BPM/ beat grid info. And forget about asking for help in the forum!

Denon please go back with Denon 3900 Platter, i wish an updete maybe SC6000 Mk2 bring us that 9" platter with the old style like SL1200, like SC3900 did and make all of us, fell in love. A SC6000 with that platter it really would be great and make a better product. I watch i video that one Pioneer lover made with a the cdj3000 version he would like he made the CDJ with SC3900 platter but thta company do not dare to do it

SC 3900 is 9" and SC6000M 8.5" , So better you realese a new version of your M deck Dj´s that come from old school and many of new dj would love it. Give us that christmas gift or next Namm Show surprise !
The only way to make Denon the 'club standard' is that Denon head-office to ships a SC6000+X1850 setup to every main-stage DJ. For free!

Patrick G Mine reboots randomly, occasionally the jog displays don't boot up , in engine I have had files swap the beat grid info / hot cues with a completely different track, the. platters will slowly stutter while holding the platter in vinyl mode. MP3 analysis adds an artifact at the beginning.

The Denon flagship is just better than the Pioneer flagship but somehow (unfortunately) Pioneer is the club standard. Denon already had an amazing flagship model for a X amount of years and still Pioneer is the club standard. Even if you are a club DJ and dedicated to Denon then you need to bring your own hardware to every club you go which is a pain in the back. I hope this will change.

@@richariz7896 I am quite sure but not 100% as Pioneer is very known to keep there lids on things. But from the history the cycle of last CDJ was announced at NAMM 2016. If I was to bet I would be betting on NAMM 2020 for the announcment to happen. Keep an eye out very exciting times to be a DJ.
