Interesting, sounds like it is similarly constructed to the Sitta with all the separate load bearing strands and the other features. Good to have some competition in that space

A similar concept to the "wire frame" idea of the Sitta. The Halo feels a stiffer in a good way, in that it feels like it's genuinely the whole belt that is spreading the load.

Great review! What do you reckon for multipitch/trad is it good or better go for the Cuesta? I want it to be comfy first of all.
And what about the leg loops? I like them fixed so probably this is why I won't get an Arcteryx 395A... Which is super comfy on your back but leg loops... Dunno... I tried a S and leg loops were not great to adjust.
I have to replace my BD Solution now

Thanks for this review. How small does it pack up? How does it compare to the Sitta? I have a Cuesta which is great through the elastic on the back has come undone in less than ideal situations!

Pretty smaller, certainly smaller than most but I'd say a little bigger than the Sitta, it does come with a small stuff sack.

Thank for a gret vid. It's amazing, that whenever I want to buy some new gear it's always your reviews that show up:). And they're the only ones on YT. Anyway I am haveing a little problem with the sizing. SInce I cannot try it out I was wondring if you could help out a bit. Could you say what size you used and what are your waist and thigh mesurments (if it's not too personal). My problem is that the small size is ideal with the leg loops but the waist in maxed out, while M size is perfect with the waist size, while leg loops may be too big (as they are minimal value on the sizing chart) The size chart also does not specify if these values refer to max measurements (that is with the clothing on) . Any recomedations as far as the sizing goes? Also, do you reckon it is comfy enough for a longer hang (say 30 min) and is it possible to wear it underneath clothing, i.e. pants or jeans or that would not be recomended. Thanks.

Pleasure! I'd be happy hanging around in it on long belays.
I'm a 33" waist and 20" thigh. I use a medium. Legs are fine (they're slightly elasticated), top off climbing I only have a tiny amount left before it's fully tightened around the waist (as in I wouldn't want to be any skinnier on a med but you could be a fair bit wider).

@@JBMountainSkills Thanks. I just received mine today in M, but due to the faulty stiching I will be either returning it or swaping for another one. Had exactly the same experience with fitting. Fully tigtened around the waist leaves only a few milimeters of the strap. Which makes me wonder, maybe I sould have gone with the S size. Have you had a chance to to try the smaller one? Also, since I don't find it as comftable as I would expect, I am also thniking of a Cuesta. Since you seem to have used it for quite a bit (and made a quicke review), would you mind saying how it compairs comfort wise and packability wise? It's half the price but is it 2x worse or maybe it's comparable (also, did you also use M size in Cuesta)? Thanks again.

Yes, same size in Cuesta. I find both comfortable but would choose the Halo over the Cuesta if money wasn't a consideration. It's not twice as good, but I do prefer it. Packability is very similar in reality. If I'm worried about that I use my Addax which packs down tiny, but isn't anywhere near as comfortable.
I haven't tried the small size.

Thanks for all your help. Really appreciate it. I ended getting both, Halo and Cuesta. If you don't mind here is my short experience with them (if you do mind, feel free to delete my comment).
Halo: pros: slightly more packable, has the ice clipper slots (which are great), has an awsome 3D shaped overmolded gear loops, which I find amazing. Cons: less comfortable (leg loops), noticeably especially in my application when it is worn on bare skin, leg loops are harsh, 4 vital stiches are hidden and cannot be inspected (which is a big no no) and it's an innovative product, so we are beta testers of this new technology.
Cuesta: more comfortable (leg loops), all stitching visible, good old strap technology, which was tested and improved. Cons: no ice clipper slots, worse gear loops, slightly less packable.
The last thing I would like to say, and I am sorry to say that, and please note this only sample of one and my personal experience, yours may differ. The stitching on my Halo has a loose loop one of the stiches . I contacted BI and was advised to "burn it with a lighter". I am really sorry to say that as I respect Blue Ice as a company, but I find it unacceptable to a) find a loose loop on the stitching on 150 quid harness b)having to burn anything with a lighter.
To me it is a warning, that BI does not stand behind their equipment, and lacks in QC. Had a similar problem with a Black Diamond equipment. What they did is offered a replacement straight away, no questions asked. Again, that is only my experience, and I don’t think that the safety of the harness was ever comprmised, still, I find the whole situation a bit worrying.
Bottom line. I think I'll go with Cuesta, but I will miss the ice clipper slots and these 3D overmolded gear loops dearly.
