i was so under lv for the fight i had to spend a week getting to lv 54
Lol that was the first battle where I had to use first aid kits to revive my party.

Bold take but. This is the best version of Baka Mitai, mainly cause it combines what's so great about the three prior: kiryu's vocal elegance, akiyama's slight playfulness and saejima's sincerity...its like a bit of a lullaby

@@jmonkey106 It's really annoying when you try to feel the song for yourself, and from the 3 Y games I played (Y0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2), only Y0 got the timings right. Wonder why they're doing it like this
@@BMXR0 I remember them being good in kiwami 1 and 2, in yakuza 3 they're pretty fast but thats cause they were still getting used to it. But in this game I can't stand them, luckily I've already gotten 90 on all of them
Yes, it just feels wrong. In 5 for example if you knew the songs well, getting a high score was super easy.
It only feels like it because baka mitai and machine gun kiss were songs you actually sung and had different inputs. Here both songs have different inputs because we're giving back up for them instead. I still think it flows pretty well, just takes some getting used to.

While the picture being the elder is funny and all, it would be cool if they rewarded players for getting this by showing his brother.
That would've been a spoiler to his true intentions as well as leave people confused on who he was singing to in the picture before the plot twist.
@@PizzaPatriarch They could've changed it after the plot twist. They did something similar in Yakuza 0 with the video for Judgement -Shinpan- (the DJ is different after Chapter 2.) Still, they would've actually had to show us what his brother looked like for that to work...

This is off topic but does anyone else find like a butterfly the hardest song in the game? I got a 100 on every song until I did Eris karaoke and legit couldn’t do it
Like a butterfly made me want to scream. I was never going for 100, just over 90 for the part-time hero badge, but no matter how many times I got it with no misses and all "greats" I kept getting like 89.88 or some shit. I finally got it after a million tries. I still haven't gotten "machine gun kiss" so that one is by far the hardest for me....but like a butterfly was the most infuriating.

Played this game on my Twitch and I can vouch for the off timing. As far as I can tell only Ichiban's 1st Song (The Future I Dreamed Of) is fully on beat.
The timing isn't HORRIBLY off and its at least consistent...WITH ONE EXCEPTION. Any time you run capture software or streaming software, the game dips JUST ENOUGH in performance to add in this weird milisecond delay that happens randomly. Its unnoticeable 99.99 percent of the time...but boy oh boy does it f*ck you over on the kareoke mini game.
Have a feeling the devs recognized this and couldn't find a fix, which is why they ultimately didn't make this mini game quite as complex/demanding as some of the previous Yakuza game...just a hunch though.
