Wonderful video and a wonderful keyboard. Typing as well, its so clean. Ever tried gateron cap yellow version of the switch? Deepest sounding switch i own. I would say they sound even deeper pitched than gateron ink. Would be interesting to see a build with them. They are underrated IMO
If you still have the board would you mind recording some case dimensions, particularity the width and front height? Do you know the typing angle as well?
I want them to make a tkl and an alice. I love frog tkl's design, but that's obviously not going to happen with them sticking to the relatively same design
On Gateron's website, they have both light and dark blue color choices. I guess the lighter version isn't as common. www.gateron.co/products/gateron-cj-linear-switch-set?variant=40041282109529
@@nearLucid I...did not even know that there was a light option, I know I might get some crap for saying this but I like RGB and the darker version totally screws it up. If only the light version was available :/
@@H1euTr4n i dont think the lights ones would be better, they also dont have a cutout for rgb. you might wanne look into the box version, they do have a cutout, thou they come with reduced travel similar to the box inks.
@@thomascrouv79 It is more about the colour of the top housing, the RGB lights bleed through but as the top housing is of a strong blue, the RGB suffer both from discoloration and in brightness.
nearLucid? what about farLucid? Anyway, I prefer my nk65 with box whites, gk61 with novelty creams, and bakeneko with cherry mx blues (lubed and filmed).
@@nearLucid Did you try only putting a single strip over each of the cuts (rather than covering the whole PCB)? Could even do it a bit loosely north-south so that the flex is not inhibited.
You call this "deep sounding" ? that's pretty underwhelming. What a joke. Go check blue alps on a vintage board and you'll see what is deep sounding. NCR-80 without any foam bs will also destroy this board any day.
That glitch at the end tho, its all in the small details. Great video and production quality as always!
dude your production quality is crazy good can't wait for more content in the future !!
IMO, i think the keyboard sounds more muted than deep.
your production is always top notch. thanks!

that illusion logo at the beginning is chef kiss
damn, the video quality is getting better everyday!
Even stock it sounds super good! Not too high or low
Bro this a whole netflix documetary for keyboards, crazy production quality!
Watching you snap the pcb made me die inside a little
Can’t wait for the Jris65/iris65! Gotta kept it low profile so I can secure one ;)
The glitch at the end scared me 🙃 HAHAHA
Personally I LOVE the sound of this board
the green jacket build is fucking nuts lord!!!
The R2 for this will be my endgame.
How does PBTfans abs keycap compare to gmk in terms of sound?
not a fan of this layout however still think its stunning ill def join the GB if they ever do a TKL fingers crossed! great vid like always.
where did you buy cjs that come in those boxes, its way nicer than having them all in a tight bag
They were sent along with the board by Wind Studio. windstudio.store/products/gateron-switch
May I know spacebar size is 6.25u or 7u?
If you still have the board would you mind recording some case dimensions, particularity the width and front height? Do you know the typing angle as well?
All of these are in the IC post. 403mm, 20.8mm, and 7 degrees respectively.
What’s the background song in the beginning?
great video! CJ switches are probably over hyped. They feel nice but i think there are too many switches better in their price point now. IMO
I want them to make a tkl and an alice. I love frog tkl's design, but that's obviously not going to happen with them sticking to the relatively same design
the green jackets used in the video are tactile or linear? cuz I'm looking for thocky switches
They are linear, but they also have a tactile version
Does it have rgb?
did I just had flashbacks?
Thanks for the video! I keep looking for a good 96% but this is overkill for my budget ;~~; It's of course sold out ._ .
It shows "sold out" because it hasn't gone on sale yet. In-stock sale goes live 08/10, followed by a GB on 08/19
Did Gateron change the colour of their CJ switches? Dont remember them having that light shade of blue.

What keycap are thoseeeeee
Ah yes, watching things I have no chance at affording
Amazing video though, very nice :D
Looking at the thumbnail I thought that windex was used in the mod lol

the X symbol and weird color combos are a shame.
I wish this were southpaw

I like the build but I don't like the layout of that one.
Board sounds so flat and lifeless. Really hope the ooga booga flex cut trend dies down soon
Agreed. Flex was fun for a bit but now it's being overdone and overshadowing a focus on sound profile.
Too be fair its a block of metal, its dead and lifeless.
Plenty of boards are being made without cuts. Between foam, silicone and tape, it's not difficult to tune a sound profile.
