Just in case if you are not aware, there is an option in Sonos app to increase/decrease the intensity of the bass if you think its overpowering or under powering. There is also a setting which emphasises the dialogue clarity if you are intended for the crystal clear sound in that section of the audio. You need to adjust the levels to your preferences for your satisfactory listening. Not that I am not a fan of Bose but I really feel that the Atmos soundstage of the Arc is much more pleasing and theatre like than that of Bose. The difference isn't major though.

    1) Bose has great soundstage while Sonos has clarity on vocals.

      3) Bose bar has better functionality having Alexa as you can use bar to call 📞 people and drop in to announce message , sonos cannot.

Ditto! I just bought soundbar because I had to, Won a Vizio V-Series 50” 4K from work for my bedroom. TV speakers were the worst I’ve ever heard
so I bought a New/Refurbished Bose TV Speaker on eBay for $159/shipped. Never would have bought a soundbar except for sound was tinny and couldn’t hear dialogue. I know this is entry level but WOW and it’s so small?! What a difference
*Bose TV Speaker actually has a dialogue mode and it works amazingly, even at low volume!!!* I don’t want/need a sub or bass module
however I was thinking of getting the Bose 900 as stand alone for the Atmos as I stream literally everything. Wondering if I should have gotten the 300 instead of Bose TV Speaker? One thing I don’t like is do you need the internet to actually use a Bose 300/700/900 soundbar? I hate Amazon and I don’t use Alexa so if I’m just using the Bose 900 by itself do I have to have it hooked to the internet? I hate they’re always putting microphones in things that don’t need them and charge you for them. Like it’s got Bluetooth, if I wanted to use Alexa I could just use Bluetooth like with my Bose TV Speaker. I want the 900 but I wanna rip that mic out and mail it to Jeff Bezos and tell him I want my money back đŸ€Ł Seriously though, if I have to use WiFi I’ll probably go with another soundbar or stay with my Bose TV Speaker
I do F$&@I%G love this thing, It’s got Bluetooth and it hooks into my eARC Vizio and I can control the volume. Is there any other no Alexa/WiFi soundbar with Atmos? I think it’s ridiculous that YOU HAVE to have WiFi to listen to a speaker hooked to your TV? Literally any excuse to slap a microphone into our everyday electronics
next you’ll need WiFi to use your Keurig and have a cup of coffee in the morning or make toast

much better than the experience I got with the Sonos. After a little eq tweaking it sounds VERY god, and the dialog in movies is just very clear as I like it. I think the Sonos sounds like they put a pillow over it. If I should say something negative it would be that for me personally, I think I liked the Sonos sub a little more. And I would love if I could turn the rear speakers up just a little more, I will try the run adaptiq with blanket over speakers trick to see if it helps. I don’t think any soundbar can give the full atmos experience when you don’t have ceiling speakers, and especially not for me because I have the soundbar right under the tv because my tv slides down from the ceiling. We have "old ears" we watch a lot of tv, movies, streaming etc. but struggle with the dialogue. Which one would you recommend when it comes to the clarity of dialogue above background noise? It just seems to us, in many modern movies, the peripheral sounds and even "background" music drown the dialogue. Interestingly if we watch a really old movie on CZcams (even 1935) we can understand every word spoken!!

With the sonos i found it to be a bit less "refined". Thats just my personal preference, im sure some people will disagree. The solution is 3.5mm jack wire. Ok. Apart from that bose 900, had very low surround effects as compared to sonos. So in movies bose performance didn't impress me. It didn't fill the room. Sonos outperforms here. It has wonderful surround effects. It is a big prominent difference. But in case of music, bose is a winner.(Doesn'tmeans sonos is not good at all in music, in my opinion difference is negligible) But mind it, standalone bose 900, is not at all impressive.
