My brother has the Sonos, I have the Bose 900 with 700 bass module. You really can’t go wrong either way. I’m big on brand loyalty and have Bose in my car so I went with Bose.
I had the Arc but always found myself turning it up to hear the dialogue then turning it down when the action scenes kicked in. Tried trueplay, sub, surrounds etc and could never get it right. Sold it all for the Bose 900 and I’m much happier. Dialogue is much better on the Bose and being able to adjust the centre speaker volume was a big plus. Still own Sonos speakers but purely for music only.
That’s disappointing to hear. I have the Bose 900, 700 sub and surrounds in my basement. A system I’ve had since the first st300 bar and upgraded over time. On my main floor I have the beam gen2, sonos sl rears and sub gen 3. This setup is more immersive and better sounding than the Bose which surprises me. I’m glad I didn’t go with the arc.
@@RobVarley That was kind of an unusual take for Sonos/Arc .. Most users and reviewers I’ve heard report it as having very distinct, prominent vocals that clearly stand out. I’ve only had my Arc/Era 300 setup for a couple days but love it so far and find it excellent all around.
Interesting. I have the Bose 900 and my brother has the Sonos. I couldn’t tell a big difference, but I love my Bose. My whole house is and always has been Bose along with Bose in my car.
@@kevinbernhardt3568 I agree, it’s very interesting. I think it’s cool how everyone has a slightly different ear. I love the tuning of sonos over the Bose but both are amazing in their own right. I’ve recently added a carpet, some pictures, some other things and recalibrated the Bose using adaptiq. It has improved. My only gripe is vocals for my ear are more clear on the sonos and the high pitches in Bose are a little too high to me and sound like the movie theatre. Sonos seams to lower the high pitched a bit. Glad you like the Bose. It’s been good to me over the years.
I just bought the BOSE 900 bar...I like the clean deep rich sound...will be adding the base and surround speakers once I save up for those...
One of the best comparison available, well done..
I have brought a Sonos arc 5.1, expensive, but just simply amazing.
I had Bose SoundTouch 300 which is similar to Soundbar 700 with Base 700 and the sound speakers.
And to enjoy Dolby Atmos, I bought Sonos Arc with Sub Gen3 and One SL.
For movies Sonos ones are better because if the surround effect, but for music I prefer Bose ones.
Both of them are good. So I regretted to have switched to the sound system by spending almost same the price of Bose set.
I already had two Sonos Beams/subs/rear surrounds in my office and master bedroom. Decided to stay with Sonos and upgraded my Nakamichi 7.2.4 for our main TV room with the Arc system. I don't have to "fiddle" with the settings with the Sonos systems and the TV/music sound, start up time, and ease of use is consistent between all zones. Added two Roams for easy whole house music inside and out with a touch of a button or on the go.
I had the Arc and Bose 700. Bose had better dialog. ARC more spacious. Returned the ARC, sold the 700 and bought the 900. I feel the 900 beats the ARC fully now.
Do you have any issues with your Bose sub 700 popping? Had mine for a couple of years and it's been popping a lot lately. People say it's wifi interference but not sure as it's right next to the sound bar. Thanks!
@@MexicanSniper11 no issues, mine is next to my couch. I would contact Bose
@@frienduro24 That's how i had mine set up but had to move it next to the bar and ended up connecting it with a 3.5mm cable instead. Bose probably won't do anything as it's out of warranty :/
Hi, I had the same issue and changed the Wi-Fi to 2.4Ghz and all gone. Works perfectly
@@rainergieringer7600 thank you. I tried that as well and didn’t make a difference. It would just move to the 5ghz band even after a factory reset
I think that you can’t overlook physical beauty of a system. Bose is beautiful.
Thanks Josh, great video as always
Cheers Cameron. Appreciate the support 😉
Wow. Simply wow. Thanks for the video josh. I returned bose 900 with sub 700 after using it for 45 days and bought sonos with sub. And I am very happy with sonos.
Thanks man! Finally got you the video you were after 😂 Awesome that you are happy now with the setup. Cheers for the support.
@@archwaytech yes indeed. This video was long awaited from you and you only. I like your videos because the way you explain the things is exceptional. Thanks
Why did you return the Bose tho? Any particular reasons for the switch and what do you say of the comparison after the switch?
@@henrikklaen138 Sonos has better sound stage because of its length. The subwoofer has better bass.
@@thetruth5672I owned a Samsung Q950A in 2022. I enjoyed the bubble of sound it engulfs you. I went to a friend's home to help tune his bose900. The sub was good - but I was disappointed with the soundbar. The sound stage especially in Dolby Atmos was a joke.
We went with the Bose 900 and the 700 Base and the 700 Satellites. After the auto tuning process, I ended up increasing the satellites to +50 and they fit the room acoustics perfect. On the sub, I'm hardwire and run +10 to +20. The key feature for my needs was the Bose provided independent volume support for my Bose Q45 headphones (my hearing is not great) so that I can listen on the Q45 turned up and my wife listens on more normal volume from the 900 setup. The independent volume support for Bose headphones was the deal maker for me.
New subscriber. Powerful comparison video!!! Greatly appreciated. 👍🏾👍🏾
I love my Bose 900 Dolby Atmos! Amazing
I had the SoundTouch 300 with Acoustimass 300 and then upgraded to the 900! I liked the 900 a lot. But…i had an earc Problem and the Bass was great but in a strange way not that good 🤷🏻♂️
Switched to the Sonos Arc with Sub Gen 3.
Definitly better bass in Movies and Games…way better!
Better bass but definitely not better highs & Mids.
I have the same issue, had the soundtouch 300 and then upgraded it to 900 and problem continued. I called Bose and said to call Sony cus it could be my tv. I called Sony and they checked my tv and problem was fixed temporarily because it’s happening again. I just unplugged the sound bar from tv and using the tv external speakers for now and soundbar for music 🎶. I was thinking to upgrade my tv Sony 900f with ARC to one with EARC as the soundbar has earc.
does your tv has Earc? so i won’t spend money with another tv, even though I might have to because I’m missing Dolby atmos cus Dolby atmos goes through if both devices has Earc only.
Thanks!!
I had the same issue. I bought a 4K 120hz HDMI cable which solved the issue on my Bose 700.I kept experiencing drop outs also with the Bose provided hdmi cable. Once I purchased a premium one all is good now
Thanks for your input! Doers it not have bluetooth tho? IM confused on how apple phones can work with the sonos.
@@MrRiffbear1 There is no Bluetooth built in. For my usage it is okay tho. I have an iPhone too and the Arc works perfectly with AirPlay 👌🏻
Great overview. Still trying to decide with option to purchase.
Bose all day!
No doubt Sonos gives you a big bang for your bucks if you are into blasting neighbor-waking music. The quality of sound and presentation is top notch for Bose, it's design elegance mimicks Apple ideology of minimalist top quality features. if you keep iphone on top of it, seems like similar products.
The Bose sound reproduction has been true to original and they always have vouched for it by not having sound enhancement buttons on their older products. But they sound great all the same viz the wave radio etc. They believe in true sound as played. This is the first for allowing you modulate frequencies. But if you are an audiophile you wont make a mistake picking the 900. Last month got the 900+700 base module and surrounds and although they feel small each has two speakers juxtaposed, and as intended add on rear sounds in a delicate manner. Of course you wont hear the helicopter flying over your head but a symphony orchestra is well recreated with this.
i have 2 bass module 700 connected to my 900 bar. incredible sound
Buts it’s so much bass and not enough sound. You should buy another 900 sound bar for the a god perfect sound
Bought the 900. Liked it but it needed more. We added the smaller sub and what a difference! It unlocked the true sound. Very impressive
I ummmmed and arrrrrrd. Sonos Arc won it for me. Loving ❤️ it.
Bose 900 with bass module 700 is the best for my experienced. I enjoyed every day watching movies on it..sonos looks cheap & bulky.. bose always look elegant & classy 👍( plus points for its Bluetooth 👍)
Sonso looks cheap?
Sonos looks cheap?i have the boss 301,201,acoustimas 3 and 5 before but,i change to sonos sonos. Sounds way better than bose, try to watch a movie with 60 percent volume on bose and you will have ear ache, with sonos i can watch all day without any problem..Besides i buy sound system not for it looks but for the sound
I totally agree with you. I have both myself and I love it 😍
@@juanvalera7272 well it’s base on your cheap taste.
So you like looks better then sound in your soundbar? That’s a weird way to buy your soundbar. You’d probably pick the bose 900 over a Bower and Wilkins sound bar because that one looks cheap and bulky yet the sound is nowhere near both the arc and 900 and costs 1200 dollars alone.
Very good video.. I watched a few bose soundbar 700/900 and arc videos and always there is a focus only on how they sound but no other features.. I agree with you and I would choose bose just because I am an android user. And also bose 700 is thiner than arc if your tv is low.. I dont know whats the height of 900
The height of the 900 is almost identical to the 700. I own both and love both! I upgraded to the 900 for the Atmos and the 700 went to a family member in the same house. I think that Sonos is very similar I love the more premium look of the Bose vs. the Sonos and fit better under my 65” Sony a90j OLED.
Excellent review. I’m a long time Klipsch user and have the Cinema 600 with the wireless sub and surrounds in a large great room. That beast puts out massive sound. But wanted Atmos for our Sony A9G in a smaller living room. Started with just the Arc and loved the sound. But it went up another level once I added the sub. So I would always recommend the Arc with the sub. Yet to add the Sonos rear surrounds, guess I’m waiting for Sonos to have rears with upward firing speakers. Just a hope on my part, haven’t heard whether that is happening or not.
Hi, how do you fare your Klipsch Cinema 600 with sub vs the Sonos Arc with Sub? Which one better?
@@tctterry Hmm...I first started out with the 600. It was a huge step up from the 2.1 Klipsch R20B I had previously. The 600 is a 3.1 system with a setting to enhance vocals which was helpful to me. Later I added the Klipsch surround speakers (making it a 5.1). This brought the 600 to a new level. Standard 5.1 TV broadcasts sound excellent. Later I got the Sonos Arc. It alone is has clearer highs than the 600 with sub, but less bass compared to the Klipsch5.1. Then I added the Sonos sub which sounds better than the 600 with its sub. The Sonos sub you can feel in your chest, and the Klipsch sub I can sense more of a fuller bass all around. Perhaps because the room with the 600 is larger than the room with the Sonos. Now the 5.1 600 with rear speakers sounds more fuller than the Sonos with Sub since sound is coming from the sides. However the vocal clarity and highs from the Sonos with sub are better. So to summarize I enjoy watching movies and TV better on the Arc and sub. The Klipsch 600 5.1 is still awesome, but the Sonos Arc with sub sounds better, however I don't sense sound from the sides like the Klipsch 5.1 provides. I suppose that will change once I add rears to the Sonos with Sub. Hope this helps you.
@@davidleingang5591 Hi David, thank you and appreciate for your feedback to share with your experience with Klipsch Cinema 600 full system and Sonos arc and sub. Thank you for explaining the difference in very details. I believe if you buy the Sonos rear speaker you will enjoy even higher level of sound quality thsn the Klipsch full system. The winner is quite clear now. Haha..😃 Because of budget I am planning to purchase the Klipsch cinema 600 but I don’t like the giant sub. I may consider buying Sonos Beam Gen 2 or Sonos arc and slowly adding a mini Sonos sub which may releasing in the coming months. Once again, thank you so much for your sharing. Really helpful, appreciate for your time. ☺️
@@tctterry I "hide" the Klipsch sub under a table so the bulk is not noticed.
@@davidleingang5591 Oh I see, that a great idea. Thanks Bro for your sharing . 👍🏼
I bought a pair of Apple HomePods gen 2 synced with Apple TV to replace an older Sony soundbar. They lack overall volume. I am returning them for the Sonos system. I feel Sonos offers more speaker options (thanks to the CZcamsrs) I appreciate this video.
I have been through this exact situation...had 3 Hompods (Gen 2) at the same time as the Sonos Arc, Sub and Era300s. The Arc alone is in another class than the Homepods. The Homepods sound tiny and awful in comparison. It WELL worth the extra $!!!
Great video 🍻
Thanks Bread
I would choose Bose! I heard both @ home. Bose in my opinion is the massiv better Choice!
Looks like I'm going with Bose due to it being more customizable and more friendly with Android. Thanks for helping me make the decision.
Hey, you got the Bose one already? I am thinking of buying Bose over Sonos for the same reasons but in the sound test it sounded extremely spongy and not clear at all (this Audiotests are often not really accurate)
Would love to hear what you think of the sound of the bar if you got yours already
@@henrikklaen138 I did get mine already, but it's under the Christmas tree so I'll have to let you know. I can't imagine a Bose speaker being spongy. Bose sound is usually great quality.
@@henrikklaen138 The sound is great. Every voice and every note is crisp and clear, especially after it's adjusted to your liking. However, I've found there is a big lack of base even with the base turned up to 100%. I don't think this is a good stand alone speaker. It needs to be paired with the subwoofer. Our small Bose table top speaker has more base than this soundbar. Good luck and enjoy!
Great video, I came across it surfing after my purchase of the Sonos Arc,sub and surround, now I have to shop around for a large tv preferably 83 or 85 “ any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I ordered the Sonos arc and the Bose Ultra. I have send the Sonos back and decided to keep the Bose. Better sound. Bluetooth. For my opinion better Design. And I like that it have a physical remote.
Terrific and balanced review of the two systems - I really like the way you were very clear (and fair) on what you did and didn't like and where the gaps might be. I think I'm leaning towards the Sonos - although I have heard the Bose in a store and really love the sound, especially with the bass. I can't believe how expensive the Bose rears are - absolutely ridiculous. Hope to be making a purchase fairly soon - I wish both of these would do discounts once in a while...
Thanks Paul for the feedback! If you could find a store that has Sonos on display that'd be great. The Sonos display stands let you turn the sub on or off during a music peice so you can hear the difference which is cool. Yeah, they should've priced the Bose rears the same as the Sonos ones to stay competitive. And yes, discounts on these products would be nice. Cheers
Well Paul I will tell you I purchased the Bose 900 soundbar with there large subwoofer but didn’t have the rear speakers and I was disappointed. I also have the Bose lifestyle theater system with the tiny cube speakers front and back with the subwoofer which is quite a few years old and i think that system sounds better then the Bose soundbar. And after all that I purchased the Sonos arc and subwoofer with the rear surrounds and I will tell you I couldn’t be happier
@@georgebrodie9795 ciao quindi tu consigli sonos più che bose 900?
Most definitely
For anyone buying the bose 900....a bass module is a must! With them both....its absolutely amazing!!!! Bose for movies and arc for music.
really, i was thinking arc for movies and bose for music
@@exoticb7317 its Is preference, every reviewer has said the same thing as me...its ok to be different. There both really great...I went with bose
@@jaynosowsky9708 same, I liked the Bose better especially in terms of looks

I own the Sonos Arc surround sound system with rear speakers and the subwoofer. It sounds GREAT for movies, music, and gaming. Bose makes good soundbars but they lack in bass and as a result their sound profile isn’t as full.
The actually soundbar does lack in bass. However, the highs definitely sound better on the Bose. Plus, adding the sub for the Bose is a must in my opinion.
Would the sub for the Sonos Arc be too much for an apartment you think?
@@LP-co4lm no, get the sub
The answer to every question related to comparing a product to Sonos is; can the competing product offer whole home audio if the answer is no then Sonos wins. There are a lot of other great speakers, and a lot of great sound bars but none offer a good whole home audio experience.
I now have the Sonos ARC surround setup w/ the sub and it is great. I bought the Bose 900 first but I was met with a glitchy system and getting stuck in a loop update which bricked the system. Customer service didn’t solve my issue so I returned the Bose 900 and got the ARC and never looked back. Sonos is much direct and easy to use and pairing/adding speakers was a breeze.
I own a Sonos arc and Bose 700, for music Sonos is way behind Bose
I had the same problem. I'm torn between trying again or switching to the Arc.
Yeah Bose sucks for that update glitch
The arc is ugly to look at was my only issue
Good video on showing differences between the two. Only thing I would recommend is playing the demos separately instead of sweeping through and switching to get a clear difference in hearing the same audio. All of the bass heavy parts were on the Sonos. This way we get to hear everything on both.
Thanks Jonathan for the feedback. I did it that way to save time and this was a bass heavy song all the way through- the Sonos did it well where the Bose struggled. I'm still playing around with the sound tests so have definitely taken your feedback on board. Cheers
Good review and I completely agree with the feedback mate @@archwaytech . I couldn't really tell which was which and which was better with the constant switches. I also felt the Bose peaked better than the Sonos given the samples but then again, thats me :)
Id prefer split screen tests with the same sample playing. I'll be a part of your story and review process because it will be easier to visualise and experience it all. Thanks for testing and sharing
I used to sell both, and they (both of them) are very good systems. However, I found the Bose to be more musical and warm, Sonos is good for movies. If you sync the sound according to your room, either one will work fine.
I have the Sonos Arc system with sub and 2 wireless speakers. The sound is incredible! Easy to setup and use. The ONLY problem I've with the system is the arc has NO BLUETOOTH. I really didn't think about it when I purchased because everything over the last several years has bluetooth. I have a wireless bluetooth vinyl record player that I can't even use because of this. Sonos offers a device that'll allow you to connect your bluetooth devices for $450. I feel like the bluetooth should already be built in and asking for an extra $450 is robbery. Keep this in mind before purchasing
100% the reason I’m getting the 900. It’s completely ridiculous that they didn’t include bluetooth in a wireless surround sound set up in 2022
This is for business purposes! I’m pretty sure they will release an arc or beam with Bluetooth in the future. It’s like Bose that didn’t support Dolby atmos for a long time, when even low prices soundbar had Dolby atmos and Bose came out with the 900 soundbar with that technology finally 😅. They just want people to spend and spend 😅
Very nice review. I have the Bose 900 but after hearing the Sonos Arc in comparison and thinking of returning it to her the Sonos Arc. Can you please tell me what soundtrack you used to compare the two? Also, are the Arc surround speakers wireless?
Return the Bose….Arc is way better…I just sold my Bose system and got an Arc (paired with my Sonos sub and Play 1’s). Just my opinion, but you can judge for yourself!
Thanks for the video ! Adding from the Bose soundbar alone, would you prioritize the Sub or the rear speakers ?
No worries. 😁 I would add the sub first- I think it makes the biggest difference to the sound.
@@archwaytech thanks !
Yes definitely add the sub first.
For what it’s worth, the high frequencies on the ARC sound a bit fatiguing and harsh. Too much sibilance for my ears. The Bose sounds a bit warmer and rounded. Definitely my preference on sound. Function and durability is another matter.
It could be your room. Soft furnishings, wall dimensions, etc are more suited to one system. Sometimes its impossible to tune a system perfectly & the alternative can be tuned for whatever reason
I own the Arc, Sub Gen 3, and ONE's for the surround. The Subwoofer is amazing and adds wonderful volume to the system. The app is pretty easy to use and personalize the sound to suit your preferences. The sound and looks are high-end for a WiFi system. I'm not an Apple user and find using an Andriod phone to be just fine for movies, music, and podcasts.
I have the same setup. Sounds incredible!
Me to the same setup. I am happy with it. No other brand for me.
Good job.
Between Bose 900 surround and Sonos arc surround wich one has the best surround for movies?
I bought the sonos arc mostly over a couple of bad experiences with durability with expensive Bose products.
The arc was disappointing at first and about to be returned until I added a Gen 1 sub gifted to me by my brother who hated the deep base. The sub brought the arc to life so I quickly added the surrounds.
One plus for the Bose system is that you can wire the sub to the bar with a 3.5mm cable. That can help reduce single drops. If you get Y adapter, you can connect two subs.
I added the cable and now have zero bass drop issues with the sub. Two subs would be insane.
i just bought the Sono's sound bar and I'm thinking of getting the surround speakers and the the sub woofer I'm watching a lot of reviews and they all go 4 a sound bar and a subwoofer and 2 surround speakers at the back of me. can i add two more surround speakers for the font surround speakers would it b worth it .
I prefer the Sonos but I'm a Android user.so I may have to go with the Bose.
Base for the win- easily. I just demod both in person. No comparison really.
I have them set up side by side, The Sonos is not capable of the same tonal reproduction, Lots of detail go missing, yes the Center (vocals ) are super pronounced but everything else just fades into mud. When listening to Gregory porter - Holding on, the finger clap goes missing on the sonos where it is clearly reproduced on the Bose, Also there is a dramatic volume difference between the Bose and the Sonos, The sonos does not equal the Bose in terms of SPL or listening experience, the Bose Soundstage is Wider, Now when adding the Bass module, The Sonos HAS nothing for the Bose, The Smallest Bose bass module outperforms the Sonos unit by a substantial margin, not to mention going bigger on the Bose. Furthermore, on the Bose you could go even further by adding 2 bass modules, and I put my money on it that you would not believe the transformation that makes to the system. WOW
Every review states that the Bose rear speaker 700's are not as effective as the sonos, But again you have to set them up side by side, its a different experience, the sonos speakers are focused to a point, the Bose units are omnidirectional and capable of producing a wider experience, For me the Bose is more True to Life, as its more akin to that experience, natural. The sonos is in your face, here I am. The Bose unit also turns the entire room into a sweet spot where as with the sonos its very traditional, Sit in this location for the best sound.
The Reviewer is also inaccurate by saying Bose produces outdated system, He is not comparing apples with apples.
In my experience the Sonos App is more difficult than the Bose and the Bose is by far simpler to get to sound good, the Bose also has the capability to upscale a stereo signal to a 5 speaker // atmos performance, as such out of the box it just works. The sonos you have to tweak, especially on the bass side of things, the sub is just not on par with the competition.
In certain cases the bose 700 sub sounds better than the gen 3 sub. Ive owned both with dual subs and sometimes bose hits harder, but it still failed alot of the times if we are comparing to gen 3. When i say failed i mean outperforming. It became neck and neck
I compared both sets of gen 3 and 700 subs and the only thing that really stood out were bass drops in movies otherwise they were both admirable and on comparable levels.
@@garretts431 Ill add that it also depends on what you play. The Bose always hits harder on music, the sonos does funny stuff with music reproduction. The sonos is very unbalanced in my opinion, depending on movie the sub either fires or is like just there. The Bose is far more stable and gives you a reliable experience.
@@soundsolutions5769 i agree on the music aspect and put music last on my list for soundbars. As long as it doesnt crackle or sound muffled im satisfied on the music side.
Content does matter i agree. For example streaming disney movies are, for the most part, poorly mixed like avengers and other big titles - especially their 4k discs. On the other hand LOTR sounds good on stream and but phenomenal on disc 4k.
Unbalanced idk about however i can agree bose likes to sharpen their sound profile with better mids and treble which people notice off the bat compared to sonos which goes for more natural and neutral sound profile. I will add stability wise and minimal issues, sonos does take the league which is a shame cuz bose goes way back and has been around for longer.
Either way you can’t go wrong with either system but just what the person expects from it
I got the Bose 900 with surround speakers and bass module. Why does the Bose Bass module make a little sound like the speaker is shaking or muffled when playing low from your TV
Is there an issue with the Arc wall mounting if your TV sticks out a bit. Would it sound better with an alternative mounting that lets it come out from the wall a bit?
Sanus makes a mount specifically for the arc and allows you to pull it away from the wall!
Question.......I primarily listen to CZcams music on my vizio Bluetooth soundbar system which works with my home wifi. Will the Sonos work in the same way? I don't want to attach it to a television. Thank you in advance for your replies.
Why does the bose sound so horrible in your test ?? I own the Bose 900 and it’s amazing. Did you calibrate it right or what did you have on the bass, treble, height, center dialed at ?
Can you play youtube content on Bose 900 soundbar? And you can experience that also with the sub connected? I was looking for a Sonos arc system with sub and rears but I’ve read a comment somewhere that you cannot play directly from iphone or ipad youtube content and if you play it from tv you will only hear the sound on the soundbar and not on the sub and rears. Can you please check if this is true both on Bose and Sonos? Nobody on their reviews test and talk about these “issues”.Thanks a lot.
You can play youtube with your sonos system by airplay on iphone devices, one thing is if your android user there you cant.
Thanks Josh for a great video. I went with the Bose 900 over the Sonos Arc. Bose just looked so much classier and fitted under our tv. So happy with Bose both for music and movies. We have a Sonos Beam Gen 2 in the bedroom but the living room it has to be Bose.

As a stand alone sound bar without sub & extra speakers , which is best out of Sony Ht a7000 vs Sonos arc vs bose 900 ???
Hi, can you pair the Bose 500 home speaker with the bose 900 tv bar?
Bose 900 soundbar is giving lot of issue with e-arc and tv. Most of the time there is no sound coming through. Has anyone faced this issue with their bose 900 and if so how did you resolve it.
Lately I always have problem with Bose durability. Next soundbar will be Sonos or other brands.
Having to use my phone for a remote is stupid. I love my Bose 900 with the 300 bass module and the 300 surrounds.
Bose it is for me
can you pleas Harman Kardon Citation 1100 vs Bose and Sonos
How did you manage to get the 700 surround speakers? Bose dont sell them in New Zealand.
I bought them through B&H and got them shipped through MYUS. It cost quite a bit but I really wanted to include them in this video.
Which soundbar has better, clearer and louder dialogues? I love SONOS, amazing surround system, easy to use, but dialogue is always extremely poor on all their devices. Beam, ARC... anyone has tried them both?
Samsung Q990B or Q990C
sorry to critique your video and it was great by the way, except in your summary you added Sonos was great for apple users but didn't mention anything in the body about apple/appleplay. Can you advise why Sonos is better for apple users.
If the bose is more powerful, with a richer, clear sound, I don't understand how the sonos compares? which it is. I judge speakers on the fullness of the sound. The sonos is thinner with less clarity on dialogue. Go in any audio store they will tell you the same. A common compliant with sonos is you have to turn it up and down between scenes. It is also common place for stores to tell you the Bose looks more premium. Which it does. It is always better to try these out for yourself before buying.
Try both in your specific room and then make the decision. I went with arc, era300, and dual subs. Sounds great in my 450sqft room with 8ft ceilings.
Bose is best!
Would be awesome if you could review any of the Harman Kardon soundbars with subwoofer :)
I have a HK sounbar with a subwoofer for 3 years now. It's ok. Im looking to buy the arc and sub in the future.
@@joelcastellanos8170 I just bought Harman Kardons latest soundbar, multibeam 1100 and it's just as good or maybe even better than the Sonos Arc
@@joelcastellanos8170 what soundbar do you have?
Please help. I have Sonos arc, sub gen 3 and 2 sl as surrounds. I am not getting much from height channel. I have it to max. On the Sonos app. My tv is LGC1 and sound output set to pass through and I mainly use Netflix. My ceiling is not high at all .. any would be much appropriated.
2 things: Have you done the auto tuning? And are you getting Atmos coming through to the arc - You can see that in the app. Does it make any audible difference when you set the height to 0?
How much watt do you think has the Bose 900?
Straight to the point with all the unnecessary babbling. Thumbs up for me. I guess it comes down to your taste in sound, but looks like you can’t go wrong with either.
Cheers man. Yeah, I appreciate everyone who watches my videos and want to give you the info asap without wasting your time. Glad you liked it 😊
Will there be a Bose Bass Module 900?
I haven't seen any info that there would be one released.
I got my Sony HTa9+SW5 but not as pleased, thinking of Sonos ARC+sub+surround OR Bose+sub+surround. Please guide.
Bose supports both wifi and blue tooth and plus sounds great. Sono supports wifi only.
What is it about the A9 that you’re not happy with? Also, what do you use it for? Movies? Music? Gaming? And what TV do you have?
@@archwaytech Hi. I use it mainly for movie. It's connected to Apple TV and via hub it connects to Optoma Cinemaxp2b projector. I would like to know best Audio setting for movies. Thanks.
@@ravikumar87 I think u need a regular TV like a 2021 QLED samsung such as Q95T or Sony OLED. Apple TV many just not bond well that sound system
Sonos is king
Sorry im big fan for bose soundbar all day everything ❤
Would the sub for the Sonos Arc be too much for an apartment?
Probably- You wouldn't be able to use the sub to it's full potential. I think the ARC by itself would be fine for an apartment.
Bought both. sound is pretty subjective. I really think the 900 sounds “sharper” and has more bass but the Arcs functionality just works better had Soo many drop outs with 900 the hdmi cec is broken with the 900 multiple inputs is too much for it? Tv shutting off randomly sound cutting out on certain inputs just not worth it..
Returned my sonos arc and bought bose 900 so I can use my subwoofer. Sonos not supporting other device is a deal breaker
We're you able to hook up a 3rd party sub to the 900? I thought it was a closed system.
deadass the bose is way better for music. its def good for movies but if movie watching is what you do more go for sonos but if you listen to things like tv shows, music, sport channels i think Bose would be a little cheaper and better option. Also the surrounds for the sonos can be used as singular speakers around the house
I don’t like either one. The Beo Soundstage was just incredible and has the best dialogue I’ve ever heard in a sound bar.
Interesting... I haven't tried that one. Have you compared it to other bars?
It doesn't have great reviews and doesn't support true 5.1 😬
I have both Arc and Bose sound bar and Bose life 535 in one room. I listen either of them each day, for me, the 5.1 system is unmatched good, then Arc. The Bose sound bar not any good after life system 5.1. Bose retired all life system with sound bar. If I random turned on, that is 5.1 Bose v535.
Bose 900 & 700 sub all the way 🎉❤✌️🙏
I just bought the Sonos arc bar and gen 3. The only problem I have is the Bluetooth not available to connect a device, unless IPhone 😢. Sometimes my wife and kids wants to connect their android phones and play their music, but Sonos makes me look selfish with my family.
I think I'm going to get the Sony HT-A7000. The Sonos Arc doesn't have Bluetooth and the Bose 900 doesn't do DTS-X. The Sony is rated well and has both.
Did you buy Sony HT A7000..
Could you please provide your opinion?
I have the beloa options to buy,
Bose900
Arc
A7000
@@yuvaraj7270 I did buy it. It has been great. I do occasionally get audio drops which is annoying but that's rare and it's great otherwise.
@@jimv1983
Aah..my god..!!
I don't why I couldn't remove this A7000 from my list.
Thanks for the clarification regarding Bose900, I didn't know that it doesn't have DTS X.
Thank you so much..!
@@yuvaraj7270 that's why I passed on the Bose. There is no DTS-X support. The Sonos Arc doesn't have Bluetooth support so that was off my list. I considered some of the higher end Samsung ones but I heard mixed reviews and it's much smaller which means smaller speaker drivers. Plus, I have a Sony A80J OLED TV that integrates well with the soundbar. All the settings can be controlled by the TV.
Is the Bose sound bar able to give Dolby atmos effect with just the soundbar
Having just the Soundbar with no rear speakers will give you a good sense of height in the front but nothing close the performance with the rear speakers connected. If price is an issue, check out the Samsung Q990B.
Sonos win sonos have better sound music nd movies nd bass is monster nd trueplay it’s amazing
@Prabjeet Singh Sonos is sh**t!!! In todays morden world what type of soundbar is this that does not have “BLUETOOTH” really!!!!
am hifi listening but I have hiffi speaker myself but I tell you honestly bose is better in sound and movies so that says all enough my speaker easily beats sonos in music and bose again in movies
I have had both sound bars. I bought the 900 and kept it for about 20 days and just returned it for the Sonos arc. So far the only problem I had with the Sonos is watching Netflix. You have to turn the volume up to 50 to just hear the voice dialogue. The bass with the Sonos is so much better then the 900. Bose failed with that and I think they did that so you buy the bass module. The Bose sounds cheaper then the Sonos. It’s odd though because 5.1 Audio sounds better on the Bose and the 2.0 audio sounds better on the arc.
I think the dialogue on SONOS if far from excelling. It is actually really poor and unclear most of time. Other than that, it's an excellent sound system
Count the hours you watch content with dialogue & I think you’ll find it dominates the overall listening time. Im a hifi enthusiast but Ive learnt over the years that watching content with dialogue takes up the majority of time we have in the day for relaxing with movies/music/books. So Ive made all my choices around that.
I have read various stupid comments about which one is better or which one sounds better 🤦♂️🙈, everyone perceives sound differently, you can't write one sounds better than the other or maybe you forgot to write "in my opinion" 🙈, both they are excellent systems, but I repeat the perception of sound changes from person to person….anyway great video … i did like it 👍
Thanks! Yeah totally agree… there’s huge merit in testing it out in your home or at least the store to get a sense of if it’s for you or not.
Also depends on the size and shape of the room
Bose works well with apple?
Yeah it does.
I just returned the Bose 900. The 900 sound bar sounds great but their bass modules are crap. I originally purchased the 700 bass module and it crackled and popped a lot. I then returned that and decided to try the 500 bass module and same thing but not as bad as the 700. Until they can improve their wireless connection between sound bar & sub I’d steer clear especially for the price you pay. If you decide to try Bose purchase directly from them as they offer 90 day no risk with free return shipping.
You have to try the sonos home system the sonos sub is the best i have ever used,i use 6 diff subs in 20 years but the sonos sub really sounds great,i have installed dual subs by sonos with the arc and two sonos one sl as surrounds, the sonos sub doesnt have any distorsion at all in any volume level..
@@juanvalera7272 I have an arc & sub on order. Problem is the arc has and is on back order
I had the same issue with the sub, even after buying a new one same issue. After some testing it seemed our Robovacuum Eufy was interrupting the connection. Removed the vacuum to other spot in the house and problem solved! Still going to sell my setup tho, I want to have the multiroom setup from sonos.
@@CobraJeffa technology is too advanced in my opinion for interference to happen on these devices that cost $700+. looking forward to getting sonos setup
I have the Bose 900 with Base Module 700…I have 2 of each. I have not had any issues with the Soundbars or Base Modules! The sub is very well balanced with the sound bar. Sorry you got bad units. I like the Sonos but I love the way the Bose looks much better.
Would be nice if you also can show €price
Remove the “VS” of the title, if you’re just going to say that both are great
am hifi listening but I have hiffi speaker myself but I tell you honestly bose is better in sound and movies so that says all enough my speaker easily beats sonos in music and bose again in movies
As an Android users, I will not even consider buying the sonos system.
Hands down, Bose 900 is worth every penny.
Can you make a video, between Sony ht-a9 and Bose 900 soundbar with rear speakers and subwoofer?
Great video by the way and thanks!!
I’m trying to get my hands on the HT-A9 but they’re so hard to find. Will try my best. Cheers
@@archwaytech I understand, yes right, they are out of stock. Hope you get it. But I have a feeling Sony ht-a9 might win on this match because I see lots of people surprised with what this Sony new system can do.
Thanks for your reply…cheers!!!
I'm currently using the Bose 600 with the base module and surround speakers for my bedroom and it's perfect. Great clarity for dialogue and atmospheric sound. Even if you're in an apartment you get more depth with the bass module and you can turn it down. When I lived in an apartment back in the day I checked my audio levels by turning it up to the most exceptional level at the lowest volume by going out in the hallway, closing the door and listening. If it seemed intrusive while walking by I just turned it a little lower until I got it right.
@@matthewallman1 thanks for this valuable info, I appreciate it a lot and thanks for your reply 🙌
And if my TV has ARC but not eARC, will I still get Atmos or do I need to buy Fury and Apple TV?
You will not get atmos. You need eARC hdmi port on the tv and soundbar.
FYI both of them is made from the same factory yeahhh
What name of this movie on Tv ? Movie name ?
