Let's enter the topic Aircraft Structures. In this video we look at some of the major stresses that are acting on an aircraft's structure and we also look at some examples on an aircraft where the stresses are acting.
Normally there is a combination of these stresses acting on the aircraft which needs to be considered during stress analysis where the design and materials required for that component are finalized.
As a conclusion the loads and stresses have to be identified and known for a safe aircraft design.

An aircraft doesn't experience stresses. It experiences loads. These loads cause stress in the material. Stress is load/area.
