It looks like Maharaja never travelled to Kashi, but the lyrics seem to depict he actually has seen the place. The ganga flowing pure as milk, ghats full of Sanyasi's, ash laden idol of Vishweshwara, trident in his hand with nag mala around the neck. Goddess Parvathi as his half and the entire three worlds being his dasa praying both to Padmanabha and the lord with three eyes. Very beautiful and sublime rendition by Abhishek superbly supported by HNB and Patri ! That was indeed a divine, blissful Kashi Vishweswara darshan !!

Oh Abhishek, after hearing to you all these years, I am of the openion that you should transwalk to the classical Hindustani style and should uniquely sing both Karnatik and Hindustani classical through your voice in all your concerts,, showing the entire world that the music of India is unique and never can be matched. This challenge is possible only by you and singers of your level.

Idu thano Thillai Sthalam ; Renuka Devi ; i am addicted to this young man's singing. He is just so good ! May the good Lord bless him !
I became addicted his music 2010.Don't have the mind to listen to any one else since then.The way he catches the phrases in raagas is unique.
He was in Bharathi Kala Mandram fora concert held at SVBF, Etobicoke. I just posted "idhu thano Thillai Sthalam" his rendition from Sankara Channel concert on Twitter as his Birthday is today 26th September. God Bless Him with long life & Good Health 🙏🏻.

Sindhubhairavi is truly a sindhu, a ocean of mystical magic, coupled with and sanctified by the purity of Ganga and the blessings of Visveswara in this song.
I have recently been to Kasi, sang this unbelievably divine song infront of the sanctorum while waiting for the darshan.
Your rendition and my experiencing a level of spirtuality there, give almost the same sense of eternal peace and beauty.

Such news always exist in the industry.
Now most auditoria have excellent music system so some youtubers go back 75 years and create videos with ONE MIKE CONCERT! EVERYTHING

What a magnificent composition by the Great Maharaja of Travancore, Swati Tirunaal, a multi-talented king who was fluent in as many as 10 languages! It was said that he composed this particular song as he longed to have a Darshan of Lord Vishwanath ji at the Holy City of Kaashi (Vaaraanasi), but due to some political pressure in his kingdom in Kerala, could not do so. In his dreams, he had a vision of the holy city and the residing Deity, Vishwanath ji in all His Glory, and this song was born! He invokes his Ishta Devata, Shri Padmanabha and states that both Hari and Hara are One and the Same! You remain forever indestructible (Avinashi). So soulfully rendred by Shri Abhishek Raghuram, and ably supported by Vidwan Shri HS Bhaskar and Shri Patri Satishkumar. Dhanyavad!

I bow down to Sri Sri Maharaja Swathi Tirunal, the composer. Thanks to a wise friend, today afternoon I was blessed to listen to this Super Rendition of Sri Tirunal's composition! Being only an eternal novice of our Divinely Carnatic Music, I know very little (relating to Sangeetam), and so I did not also know Sri Tirunal composed in different languages... Pranams and 'many thanks' to Sri Abhishek Raghuram, and the accompaniment artists Sri H N Bhaskar, and Sri Patri Satishkumar PLUS the team members who made this super recording possible AND shared the prasAdam with all the devotees...
As Abhisek Raghuram and excellent mridangan and violin decide Chalo mana Kashi with Sindhubharavi purest aalapana it appeared to me this morning chalo mana..let's go oh mind.we listeners went deep into our soul with soulful rendition of Abhishek...and really did our loving Abhishek ..tears of love and tears of pain to the Lord Visweswara and Padmanabha as well...Darshan of Kashi in our minds were visibly seen in meditative mood listening to this wonderful composition..A very highly qualitative efficiently sung kriti with proficiency and perfection humbly done by all three equally is the highlight of this video which will be to stay for ever

The valley of flowers is suitable for practicing raga basant, Basant mukhari, bageshri,kamod,nand...... Bank of Yamuna is suitable for raga hemawati,malhar,pahadi (if river is surrounded by mountains) ,todi, most beautiful sun rising places must be developed for listening raga Lalit, aberi, Shri, gunkali,malgunji.
In the mountains raga pahadi,kafi,khamaj,maand khamaj,jhinjhoti,..... Presentation of raga according to place..... Best Wishes

Dear Abhishek, a most evocative and original interpretation. The raga "Bhairavi" never fails to uplift the soul. Bhimsen left his stamp on Jo Bhaje. This ST composition Vishveshwara has a similar effect and so many renditions are so good. But the way you have emoted the raga and song is a testimony to the grand confluence of head and heart in prayer. CM is blessed to have musicians like you, HNB and Patri. Thank you!
