  • DISCLAIMER! There are exceptions to the traits! also you have to look at the whole picture of the handwriting, not just the individual traits! in this vid I go over a lot of specific traits, but when doing an analysis, you need to keep in mind the the bigger picture, not just the individual traits. But learning the traits is important so you have somewhere to jump off of. So yes there are exceptions but 14 minutes isn’t long enough to get into all the exceptions.
(also my newer vids are so much better just fyi)
I have watched probably every graphology video that exists on the internet, so I wanted to put everything I learned into a fast paced video that covers graphology basics, and also dives into some more specific/advanced stuff as well. I said in a previous video that I wanted to do a full length video on graphology so here it is :) in a future video I want to analyze the handwrighting of some subscribers so press subscribe and send me a picture of your handwrighting to handwritingforleah@gmail.com
If you are new to graphology and want to learn more, I'd highly suggest looking up Mike Mandel's graphology videos on CZcams. Although I know A LOT about graphology, I don't have any formal training, so definitely do some more of your own research if you really want to get into it :D
    CONTENT WARNINGS:
1:38-2:13 mention of past trauma(back slants)
7:06-7:10 mention of psychopathy(capitals mixed with lowercase letters)
9:27-9:41 mention of anorexia(handwrighting getting pregressively smaller)
11:33-12:12 mention of suicide(crossing out of the name in signature)
    ...
Let me know in the comments your thoughts:)what traits are showing up in your handwrighting? what does your signature look like? You you also obsess over learning about graphology? Does your cat also interrupt you when you are in the middle of something?

Also side note you can't analyze numbers, of course you may be able to tell a couple things like mabey where you are from or learned to write numbers, because there are different ways to write different numbers, you can't say you have a letter specific trait when your analyzing a number.

I, on the other hand, have all the "good traits" (according to graphology for some reason) because I enjoy cursive/calligraphy, ironically tho, my partner is more mentally stable than I am. I feel like it works to some degree, but doesn't work as a proper in-depth mental analysis.

My handwriting changes depending on lots of factors - how rushed I am, how I'm feeling, etc. Also my font size and whether I stick to the margins just depends on how much space I have available - if I only have a few sheets left, the handwriting will be much smaller and tighter. Not saying there's no truth at all to this but there are lots and lots of factors at play that muddy all but the most broad interpretations.

Graphology is most effective when the given handwriting is written with a calm state of mind and the person is not making a conscious effort to change their handwriting. Also, just because you do it once, doesn't mean that it is applicable. It has to be repeated often.

7:37 also very important to note: this trait can also appear in some dyslexics! when physically writing, many dyslexics use a mix of capital and lowercase letters without realizing it. that’s because the letters can get jumbled up in their head.
and if you’re getting into graphology, do remember: it’s not scientific. it’s more of a pseudo science. having a trait in your writing doesn’t mean it definitely applies to you, and some traits will have different meanings or not apply at all if caused by an underlying condition such as dyslexia, adhd, and so on.
that said, have fun with it, just don’t take your findings as 100% concrete, you know?

In psychoanalysis you look at everything you can, nothing on its own paints a full picture. That being said, some ppl have strange and striking handwriting where it might be worth looking into. If someone consistently mixes up capitalized and lowercase letters in a wavy pattern despite being thought how to write from a young age something is obviously not right.

The thing is, as an artist, it's quite easy to curate my handwriting. It looks drastically different depending on the pen, paper, and time I have to write. If I'm journalling, I'll make an effort to write a certain way. If I'm taking notes during a lecture however, my handwriting will be messier and different.
So according to this video, when I'm journalling I'm pretty much a psychopath that's a "ticking time bomb," and when I'm writing in class I'm an optimistic and ambitious introvert that's fairly normal. ....okay.

Handwriting is such an automatic process though. It's a skill we learn to do from a young age and it becomes something that we don't really think about once we learn it, like riding a bike. It's not too far fetched to assume something mindless and automatic like this wouldn't reveal at least a little bit about our personalities.

I was definitely into Freud as a teen. I think this is a lot more like psychoanalysis than horoscopes. Horoscopes make very vague predictions about the future based on the alignment of the stars while psychoanalysis makes really specific predictions about the past and present based on behaviors we often don't think about like chewing on pen caps can indicate that someone didn't have an intimate relationship with their mother as a child, or that they simply miss their mother in the present day. One shouldn't treat psychoanalytic theories like ink blots and graphology as diagnostic tools, but they're definitely helpful in starting a conversation that leads to more helpful information. After all, even Freud said that sometimes a pipe is just a pipe.

    • @velliott6641

@@CheapSkateGamer96 although starting conversation is helpful and you can make some assessments on people based on behaviour. The pure extremity of The claims in this theory are far to extreme to outweigh. Claims like drawing the letter L in a certain way indicate psychopathy and a love for oral sex are less helpful to conversation and more likely to cause a teen to obsess over what they think is an aspect of their personality. Horoscopes maybe weren’t the most accurate comparison but astrology on the other hand defiantly is. For a teen or vulnerable person there both likely to lead to isolation from certain people based on details of there life that everyone can see are both irrelevant to their personality and unhealthy to base assumptions on. again I understand that people could look at this and say “that’s a neat idea” and move on but the point is this type of practice specifically prays in people who will come to the conclusion that this is a fundamental part in understanding people. So if you were to base my personality or traits off of my current handwriting I would be an overly aggressive person with little impulse control. And that is definitely not accurate😅

ummm strange question: Can you mask with handwriting? lIke I'm watching this and nothing connects to my personality(not very surprising), but I also remember *distinctly* copying other people's handwriting as a child. LIterally exactly like masking (I'm neurodivergent so yeah) but with my handwriting as well as the normal facial expressions, body movements, etc.

I’ve heard of this happening!!!!! It’s not talked about it books, but I’ve met ppl irl who’ve copied the writing of others and when I do my analysis, it describes the person they copied, not themselves. Really interesting stuff I wish this was talked about in books so I could see what other graphologists’ experience with this is but that’s my experience. Good question even tho I don’t have much of an answer

I definitely have done that too, I have, many times in the past, consciously changed the way I write certain letters because I liked someone else's writing or I just, for example, wanted to give my y's a loop. Then I'd have a period of writing a certain letter one way, then it'd switch, and switch again, sometimes going back and forth between the same ways of writing letters over and over. I wonder what graphology would say about that haha

I love and nate pseudosciences, they are funny or fun sometimes but then you get shit like "you are severely mentally ill if you write like this"
Personally, i mix uppercase lowercase as well as cursive and print, my handwriting is a mix of all of these, most noticeable letter i make is a giant fancy lowercase cursive F, i have very designer and loopy g, y, j's ect those types of letters usually go under that lower line alot. I write straight up and down with no tilt.

For one she straight up told us that she isn't an expert. Secondly, it's a psychoanalytic tool. It's not necessarily meant to be accurate, it just gets people thinking about things. Telling a therapist "you're full of shit, I'm not x because y" is often just as helpful as "wow, that actually explains so much is the reason I'm x possibly related to y?". In both cases x is typically obvious, it's y that the therapist is after.

No, a lot of it comes down to how you learned how to make your letters when you were a kid. For example - they taught us how to do cursive at the same time as they showed us block letters. So I have a half cursive half print way of writing. Now as you know cursive has a slant to it - that's cursive. It just means I see two alphabets simultaneously when I write. My brain is constantly trying to decide which of the two forms of printing that I am going to choose and which one wins. It's weird because the two have speeds to them - cursive was meant to go quicker because you dont have to remove your hand off the page which I like but most people cant read cursive anymore. So I have this strange way of writing which this video would call something else.thus my writing is chaotic but it is just because I'm alternating between writing speeds based on the print form if which version of the alphabet my brain is going to choose. 50% chance of each one.
