- DISCLAIMER! There are exceptions to the traits! also you have to look at the whole picture of the handwriting, not just the individual traits! in this vid I go over a lot of specific traits, but when doing an analysis, you need to keep in mind the the bigger picture, not just the individual traits. But learning the traits is important so you have somewhere to jump off of. So yes there are exceptions but 14 minutes isn’t long enough to get into all the exceptions.
(also my newer vids are so much better just fyi)
I have watched probably every graphology video that exists on the internet, so I wanted to put everything I learned into a fast paced video that covers graphology basics, and also dives into some more specific/advanced stuff as well. I said in a previous video that I wanted to do a full length video on graphology so here it is :) in a future video I want to analyze the handwrighting of some subscribers so press subscribe and send me a picture of your handwrighting to handwritingforleah@gmail.com
If you are new to graphology and want to learn more, I'd highly suggest looking up Mike Mandel's graphology videos on CZcams. Although I know A LOT about graphology, I don't have any formal training, so definitely do some more of your own research if you really want to get into it :D
CONTENT WARNINGS:
1:38-2:13 mention of past trauma(back slants)
7:06-7:10 mention of psychopathy(capitals mixed with lowercase letters)
9:27-9:41 mention of anorexia(handwrighting getting pregressively smaller)
11:33-12:12 mention of suicide(crossing out of the name in signature)
...
Let me know in the comments your thoughts:)what traits are showing up in your handwrighting? what does your signature look like? You you also obsess over learning about graphology? Does your cat also interrupt you when you are in the middle of something?

why is there so much hate? I personally found the video very interesting, even if graphology isn't science-based, it's really nice to hear someone being this enthusiastic. ive been watching lots of these videos recently and am getting really focused on this topic, though ofc i wouldn't 100% trust this
i think what people are getting at is that this can be harmful, especially to younger generations who are still figuring out who they are. obviously I’m not expert, and while it may not look that unsuspecting on the outside that isn’t always the case. i had started watching these videos just for general interest, but did feel a little unease as i kept watching. no hate to the creator tho, i’m sure they don’t have any ill intentions.

lmao ikr like literally every trait on here there's something 'wrong' about so how tf u going to be not a psycopath and have normal handwriting
Its all situational. Just because you have one trait doesn't mean you necessarily possess that trait. Also side note you can't analyze numbers, of course you may be able to tell a couple things like mabey where you are from or learned to write numbers, because there are different ways to write different numbers, you can't say you have a letter specific trait when your analyzing a number.
@@aliviarose Side note: you can't analyze writing at all, the way you write comes strictly from what you were taught and how you practiced. "Situational" in this case means about as much as me listing few traits without knowing you at all and being right about 2 or 3.

this feels like a very specific brand of potentially harmful, like if a horoscope told your boss you were a danger to yourself and others
*Yeah, plus it says the left-handed slant indicates trauma
People need to question how accurate this shit is before they start over analyzing their existence
Yeah fr, another thing that calls her into question is genuinely using "used goods" to describe people with trauma which made me verbally go "what the fuck".
that's what I find to be odd, I have a partner who only has "poor handwriting" because he had CTS that fucked with his nerves permanently in highschool. I, on the other hand, have all the "good traits" (according to graphology for some reason) because I enjoy cursive/calligraphy, ironically tho, my partner is more mentally stable than I am. I feel like it works to some degree, but doesn't work as a proper in-depth mental analysis.
The alphabet is largely arbitrary (drawings of objects, repeatedly simplified and made easier to draw over thousands of years), it's optimised for ease of communication, not hidden emotional expression
My handwriting changes depending on lots of factors - how rushed I am, how I'm feeling, etc. Also my font size and whether I stick to the margins just depends on how much space I have available - if I only have a few sheets left, the handwriting will be much smaller and tighter. Not saying there's no truth at all to this but there are lots and lots of factors at play that muddy all but the most broad interpretations.
Graphology is most effective when the given handwriting is written with a calm state of mind and the person is not making a conscious effort to change their handwriting. Also, just because you do it once, doesn't mean that it is applicable. It has to be repeated often.
Which is the first reason to debunk graphology.
7:37 also very important to note: this trait can also appear in some dyslexics! when physically writing, many dyslexics use a mix of capital and lowercase letters without realizing it. that’s because the letters can get jumbled up in their head.
and if you’re getting into graphology, do remember: it’s not scientific. it’s more of a pseudo science. having a trait in your writing doesn’t mean it definitely applies to you, and some traits will have different meanings or not apply at all if caused by an underlying condition such as dyslexia, adhd, and so on.
that said, have fun with it, just don’t take your findings as 100% concrete, you know?
Yes it’s called dysgraphia, and the numbers version is Dyscalcula, I have all 3, and thought I was the only one who put capital letters throughout my handwriting.

You guys need to remember this is just an "idea" formed on some studies that might have a connection or not. In psychoanalysis you look at everything you can, nothing on its own paints a full picture. That being said, some ppl have strange and striking handwriting where it might be worth looking into. If someone consistently mixes up capitalized and lowercase letters in a wavy pattern despite being thought how to write from a young age something is obviously not right.

The thing is, as an artist, it's quite easy to curate my handwriting. It looks drastically different depending on the pen, paper, and time I have to write. If I'm journalling, I'll make an effort to write a certain way. If I'm taking notes during a lecture however, my handwriting will be messier and different.
So according to this video, when I'm journalling I'm pretty much a psychopath that's a "ticking time bomb," and when I'm writing in class I'm an optimistic and ambitious introvert that's fairly normal. ....okay.

This feels like the perfect trap for teenagers. It’s like horoscopes because both take advantage of teenagers desire to learn of themselves which makes them more prone to pseudoscience bullshit particularly like this.
I was definitely into Freud as a teen. I think this is a lot more like psychoanalysis than horoscopes. Horoscopes make very vague predictions about the future based on the alignment of the stars while psychoanalysis makes really specific predictions about the past and present based on behaviors we often don't think about like chewing on pen caps can indicate that someone didn't have an intimate relationship with their mother as a child, or that they simply miss their mother in the present day. One shouldn't treat psychoanalytic theories like ink blots and graphology as diagnostic tools, but they're definitely helpful in starting a conversation that leads to more helpful information. After all, even Freud said that sometimes a pipe is just a pipe.
@@CheapSkateGamer96 although starting conversation is helpful and you can make some assessments on people based on behaviour. The pure extremity of The claims in this theory are far to extreme to outweigh. Claims like drawing the letter L in a certain way indicate psychopathy and a love for oral sex are less helpful to conversation and more likely to cause a teen to obsess over what they think is an aspect of their personality. Horoscopes maybe weren’t the most accurate comparison but astrology on the other hand defiantly is. For a teen or vulnerable person there both likely to lead to isolation from certain people based on details of there life that everyone can see are both irrelevant to their personality and unhealthy to base assumptions on. again I understand that people could look at this and say “that’s a neat idea” and move on but the point is this type of practice specifically prays in people who will come to the conclusion that this is a fundamental part in understanding people. Also thanks for taking the time to respond.
@@velliott6641 from her other videos this seems to be something that is consistent in other people she analyses writing from and if u watch the other stuff it’s like how u can tell one thing to two different doctors and get seperate diagnosis it matters a lot more the things around the specific trait like if things consistently say someone has x,y or z then that’s what she infers i also haven’t looked into how real it is most of the people she shows in her videos are people who are popular or she knows and she could be just using that info but she also analyses subscribers letters to her and if she was incorrect about them i feel like those videos would get massive backlash

"big third zones indicate big sex drive, need of loats of friends and money to stay happy"
Me, a introverted ace that can go imense amounts of time without friends interfering and not be affected mentally, that mostly relates to animals: yeah i like mone, so its half right uwu
I like these things, even of they arent exacy is fun to learn about them!
Woah this is so interesting. I've always crossed out my name in my signature putting emphasis on my last name. This might be to do with how my family don't really understand my ambitions and problems. I'm not doing great mentally, but I'm getting the help I need. Crazy what you can tell about someone by their handwriting and signature.
You can't tho lmfao it's all pseudoscience
What you said at 13:15 is when you earned my respect, like, and subscribe. Genuinely looking out for people and good intentions are such a nice traits to see in a person.
omg this was super insightful. Thanks!
my sentence: starts with a back leaning letter
my entire signature: forward leaning so hard it would make micheal jackson jealous
also, the family issues thing is surprising to me. My last name is really close to my first, and I get the way I write my last name in signatures from learning off of my dad writing his name.
Ouchhh called out on the first one. I get adrenaline when I socialise for more than 15 min and end up oversharing my entire lifehood trauma. I regret it so much later but I can't control it, its like word vomit.
Tysm iv wondered about my crazy handwriting for a long time and u where spot on
wow this is my first introduction to graphology and its so coool I literally immediately ran to my loved letters stash!
The lower zones of my letters are pretty short and I'm asexual, so...that's interesting!
The capital K one makes so much sense, I've been doing it my entire life, and I do have a lot of trouble with autority figures
So I guess according to this, I'm a relatively bland person who's brain-over-heart and doesn't have any trauma....... which is completely the opposite of who I actually am lol
yea she is basically saying i am out going and an extrovert. i'm an introvert.
Ok but you can change your handwriting through practice so this doesn’t really hold up. For example I used to write with big loopy characters that were all over the place. I thought it looked really messy so I practiced writing smaller with more pointy characters that also had a forward slant because I thought it looked more uniform and easier to read. So if you were to base my personality or traits off of my current handwriting I would be an overly aggressive person with little impulse control. And that is definitely not accurate😅
ummm strange question: Can you mask with handwriting? lIke I'm watching this and nothing connects to my personality(not very surprising), but I also remember *distinctly* copying other people's handwriting as a child. LIterally exactly like masking (I'm neurodivergent so yeah) but with my handwriting as well as the normal facial expressions, body movements, etc.
I’ve heard of this happening!!!!! It’s not talked about it books, but I’ve met ppl irl who’ve copied the writing of others and when I do my analysis, it describes the person they copied, not themselves. Really interesting stuff I wish this was talked about in books so I could see what other graphologists’ experience with this is but that’s my experience. Good question even tho I don’t have much of an answer
I definitely have done that too, I have, many times in the past, consciously changed the way I write certain letters because I liked someone else's writing or I just, for example, wanted to give my y's a loop. Then I'd have a period of writing a certain letter one way, then it'd switch, and switch again, sometimes going back and forth between the same ways of writing letters over and over. I wonder what graphology would say about that haha
@@jufli That's exactly what happened to my handwriting. The last letter I "stole" was actually a G from a teacher a few years ago because I liked what it looked like.
It's all bs, hun. Sorry but you can't learn someone's personality and mental health by their handwriting.
@@jufli oh, same. I changed my capital a's to the fancy lowercase-looking a and back, and I started looping my y's and g's. took me about a month each.
A Friend sent me this video, it's so interesting !! Definitely looking out to research more about this subject :D
Yay!! I’m obsessed with it so I’m glad😄
Just found out about graphology today I love it it’s sooooo interesting 😁 thanks for your video very informative 👏👏👏👏
guys!!! she even says in the vid, the handwriting needs to be reoccuring. not just depending on the situation ur hand writing change, a general overview of ur handwriting yk?
this was super interesting and you explained it so perfectly!
Thank you so much!
I love and nate pseudosciences, they are funny or fun sometimes but then you get shit like "you are severely mentally ill if you write like this"
Personally, i mix uppercase lowercase as well as cursive and print, my handwriting is a mix of all of these, most noticeable letter i make is a giant fancy lowercase cursive F, i have very designer and loopy g, y, j's ect those types of letters usually go under that lower line alot. I write straight up and down with no tilt.
Some of the things she said were fitting but most were just so far fetched
This was so much fun! Thanks for this and for your own theories! Subbed :)
This was so cool. Thanks for making this, it's a great intro/beginners video
Honestly I have never seen a pseudoscience that is THIS inaccurate for so many people. At least astrology is vague enough that you can generally see yourself in your sign. This is just flat wrong in most cases 😭
For one she straight up told us that she isn't an expert. Secondly, it's a psychoanalytic tool. It's not necessarily meant to be accurate, it just gets people thinking about things. Telling a therapist "you're full of shit, I'm not x because y" is often just as helpful as "wow, that actually explains so much is the reason I'm x possibly related to y?". In both cases x is typically obvious, it's y that the therapist is after.
@@CheapSkateGamer96 Yeah but this "psychoanalytic tool" isn't used by real trained psychoanalysts or therapists because it's completely inaccurate.
It's a good bit of fun though.
@@CheapSkateGamer96 it's a pseudoscience and you're an easy mark
@@CheapSkateGamer96 Don't pretend this is some legitimate science or tool. Anyone who wants to perform actual psychoanalysis will ask questions and make statements that have something to do with the subject's actual feelings or tendencies, not their fucking handwriting.
@@CheapSkateGamer96 it's a glorified horoscope bud. And you're a sucker.
Thank you Leah, I am glad I found you.
I’m glad ur here!!
New subscriber, thanks for a Frank analysis. It’s hard to find folks that’ll be more then just the positives. We are all a combination of both.
Great job. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I was looking for a concise but qualitative video on grapholoy. And this is perfect. I'm following you for this, thanks a ton.
Glad it was helpful! glad ur here :D
hello, hello, hi !! i always knew a person s handwriting said something about them, just like a person s body langauge, their speech, etc., but never knew to what extent ! i m mostly interested in learning graphology so i can give my characters ( i am an artist and a writer :pp ) handwriting that says something about them, but this skill will definitely come in handy with connecting to and helping friends :} thank you for this video, i will now begin my journey in graphology o/
wouldnt recommend, this stuffs extremely inaccurate. you going to friends about depression because of their handwriting, would be like a boss firing a working for dishonesty based on their horoscope.
This is pretty much nonsensical, please please don't actually try to use this for any reason
*this stuff is too accurate, magic*
@@imjusthere9199 it isnt accurate at all lol
i think using this as a way to make your characters have interesting handwriting is perfectly fine and cool thing to do, but please do not use this in any other sort of way to assume things about people. this is not scientifically backed and not general enough like a horoscope to actually be a worthwhile thing to study. Obviously do what makes you happy but just be aware of how harmful these assumptions can be
omg the part about word spacing, almost all of my journaling done when i’m extremely anxious has really spaced out wording. that totally makes sense
Omg this was so good!! Thank you
i use this stuff for giving my characters individualized handwriting styles but it has no real application in the the real world.
during my teenage years i went through hell with multipule eating disorders, i still struggle. lets just say i gasped when you said "look out for writing that gets smaller and smaller" because holy shit that is so true
idk why but i write in the most tiny possible way and it started when i first slipped into the hole of an0rexia
Yeah I agree it's same for me
Thank you! I find this quite accurate, thinking about handwriting I've seen and the people who produced it.
I do not know why I keep seeing these videos on handwriting. This is the first one I've actually viewed. Fascinating; actually answered a question I've had for years about someone's handwriting. Some of this is accurate for me, but not all. Your mileage may vary, as with all things in life.
I swear i just like my writing to look pretty. Plus I’m an artist so ofc my lines have to be perfectly straight and crossing over the margins is sinful. Anything for the aesthetic
This is super interesting! I don't know if I believe every bit of it (it got almost every aspect of my handwriting wrong), but it's still an interesting concept.
My handwriting was pretty much created as "how fast can I legibly write?"
You are amazing dear! Thank you
This was great, thanks!!!
"this indicates bizarre sexual fetishes.." aOKAY IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A CALLOUT POST OR WHAT CAUSE IM FEELING BERY TARGETED
No, a lot of it comes down to how you learned how to make your letters when you were a kid. For example - they taught us how to do cursive at the same time as they showed us block letters. So I have a half cursive half print way of writing. Now as you know cursive has a slant to it - that's cursive. It just means I see two alphabets simultaneously when I write. My brain is constantly trying to decide which of the two forms of printing that I am going to choose and which one wins. It's weird because the two have speeds to them - cursive was meant to go quicker because you dont have to remove your hand off the page which I like but most people cant read cursive anymore. So I have this strange way of writing which this video would call something else.thus my writing is chaotic but it is just because I'm alternating between writing speeds based on the print form if which version of the alphabet my brain is going to choose. 50% chance of each one.
CZcams has been recommending your video to me for 2 weeks
And i finally watched it
Leave me alone now youtube
I really liked your video, very informative.
I never knew that this was an actual thing and now I'm actually really interested in learning more about it so thank you for making this video. It helps me kind of, start out, ya know? Now I'm also kind of wondering if there's a way to analyze typing as well since people's styles can alter but the actual letters are the same.
Please don't assume things because of this video, it's inaccurate to what people are actually like
this is a completely made-up pseudoscience that causes real harm when dumbasses use it as court evidence and the like
I hope you’re aware that graphology is pseudoscience and has been proven to be entirely inaccurate. I’m a forensics student and when we study handwriting THIS is not what we do.
Thank you so much I’ve already done 3 readings with accuracy!
As someone who loves the human body and human behavior, this is gonna help me alot because I feel more comfortable when I can analyze in my own head things about people and it's extremely interesting the kind of common behaviours people have.
Very interesting, as I'm looking at a grocery list I made a few days ago I can see myself in what you're saying. Keep it up!!
"How high you set the bars on your T's are how high your self esteem is"
Me, looking at how my t's are barred literally all over the place: "Ah yes, the hot mess."
So I have trauma due to my food allergy (near death experience) and I was borderline anorexic for a while and looking back at my hand writing I definitely exhibited that hand writing that gets smaller over time thing. I have recovered from my trauma (for the most part) because of my awesome friends, family, and therapist
This video has set me down a hole idk if ill be climbing from anytime soon. So cool.
I usually watch a minimum of 3 vids b4 I sub, but ppl like you and enigma..ur pretty smart cats, and know ur shit. Not often i instantly sub.
Congrats on kicking ass, can't wait to see ur channels blow up.
