Lol you could also set it up where when they call it says "voice IP is not supported please call back on a supported line" so you can collect and report there real phone numbers
The most insane thing about this is that real customer service has somehow become so low quality that this feels realistic enough to not really set off any alarm bells.

For real. I’ve waited on hold twice at OHSU for over 40 minutes just to be hung up on.
This is so true, I waited for over an hour for ACTUAL TECH SUPPORT and then got transferred to another department and got put on hold for another hour and a half, then they just said they couldn't do it and hung up.
My own American government took two years to process an unemployment claim I had made, and then only gave me less than 10% of the back payments.
Two years.
The MORE time these scammers spend on your fake website, the LESS time they have preying on victims. YOU sir, are a HERO.
yeah that's kinda the point lol
And the increased chance they will give up next time when things take to long, discouraging them is as important as wasting time
And I thought spending my entire 24hr security shift on the phone with them was peak time wasting.... my scale has since been readjusted
imagine how big the scammers phone bills are gonna be calling a place to withdraw a bitcoin that doesn't exist 🤣

Better than kidnapping your grandson in exchange for target gift cards 🤣
I love how Kit has evolved over the years to find out the best way of making scammers go crazy is to treat them basically the same way Comcast treats their customers.
😂😂😂
Or AT&T lol
I hate how true this is. I spent the first few weeks after moving into a new place trying to get comcast to do anything and in the end I just got some really nice lady who told me I did everything I needed to do a week before.
Also Arizona Department of Economic Security. Omg. I hope you never need medical insurance. Two hours for every call and get a different answer every time. Total incompetence.
Or the Maryland Health Connection. I was once on hold for hours starting from the first business hour to when they were closing up.

I like that you're basically co-opting their strategies for justice.
You lead them to a fake website, and made them make an account which you didn't use for password reuse attacks.
You got their actual bitcoin wallet IDs from them, which you might even have the password to. And you just report the wallets.
These guys are falling for their own tricks, in the funniest way possible.
And you ended up getting put in touch directly with victims.
It's beautiful.
“You guys are an idiot” absolutely killed me. Shoutout to you guys for doing this.
The "please tell us how we did" at the end of each heart-crushing call is the icing on the cake

The going from being on hold for an hour to talking to someone that immediately kicks you to someone else that isn't there and you only get their voicemail, then hangs up is an actual experience I've gone through a few times with legitimate customer support. You captured it pretty much perfectly.

Sadly, it stems more from desperation, but F scammers, so it's hilarious.
I don't have the words to properly describe how much I appreciate the work you and your team are doing.
My grandma once got scammed out of an extremely large amount of money and spent the last year of her life absolutely devistated, ashamed and broken.
Watching an 89 year old weep uncontrollably and moan with anguish broke my heart and still haunts me as the deepest sadness I've ever felt.
I don't understand how scammers can live with themselves.
Your content is extremely entertaining and you're helping people at the same time, I respect you guys so much. Thanks for fighting the good fight.
I always find it funny how indignant scammers get at being tricked and feeling like they've had something taken from them.
The big brain move now is to have the scammers read random phrases and use them to train an AI voice model so they have to talk to themselves
Damn, that would be CRAZY 🤣🤣
Great idea
10/10 idea
i love the way your brain works bud

A close friend of mine took their own life because a scammer took a great amount of money from them. Some people have it already so hard, and to just have someone tip the scale even further for them is literally life-changing. Thank you for your work
I'm so sorry
Sorry for your loss
That's really devastating. What gets me is that so many of the scammers do not even have any remorse for their evil crimes. I'm sorry that you lost your friend.
Sorry to hear that. I wish you the best.
Agreed, this guy is a saint. The advent of AI is the future of driving these scammers insane until they disappear forever
I've been watching a lot of scammer videos, and this one was the best of all time. I was drinking water and burst out laughing so hard that it spilled. I stopped drinking and then tried again after 5 minutes, and it almost happened again. You're a genius.
Hearing you in tears being able to help someone whose future was being stolen from them is so amazing. It's so obvious how much you care about these people and how much passion you have for what you're doing. I can only hope that someday I will be able to help someone the way you have helped so many.
The brief delay with the “mailbox is full” part giving them enough time to start leaving a message and have some shred of hope only to have it immediately dashed was absolutely PERFECT. Brilliant timing. This was such a great scheme to waste their time, energy, and sanity!

This is a special kind of evil and I love it!
This is the way!
This is the greatest idea I've ever heard. Not only is his project already automating the process of time-wasting, but this would perpetuate it.
You know how some network marketing or pyramid scheme type companies have big meetings that get everyone really pumped up to go out there and create *big success* in their lives somehow?
Hold online conferences, actually interactive, to get scammers involved in wasting time AND really pumped at the same time.
You finally succeeded in automating a process to waste scammers time, and as a bonus make them really angry.
This is my favorite episode so far; as a software developer, I'm amazed at the elaborate nature of your fake phone system. I am literally laughing uncontrollably with tears running down my face. Incidentally, I've been trapped in phone trees like yours before for legit companies. Hours on permahold only to have it transfer you and then hang up on you. I won't mention any names, but their initials are A, T, and T.
I wrote the first part before the reveal at the end. My heart broke when I heard that poor woman at the end, but at the same time, I had hope because she called into your system. Glad you were able to help. 👍🏻

So brutal. The gauntlet! 😂
A terrifying threat indeed
I don't get it
English isn't my native language and I don't get it, how is a gauntlet funny in this context? In my mind a gauntlet is somewhat similar to a glove. Just that a gauntlet is probably a piece of armor, and a glove is soft and shit, woven wool and fancy fabrics /s
Tldr: pls explain
@braindecay9477 Gauntlet is also a term english uses to mean "extended challenge"
The origin comes from the term "throw down the gauntlet" where knights would throw their gauntlet at the feet of someone they are fueding with as a form of "fighting words" if the other party picked up the gauntlet, that would mean they acknowledged the challenge, and accepted it.
@@braindecay9477 gauntlet is another way of saying a complicated challenge, like a triathlon or something. it usually means a really hard, multi-level challenge.

Absolutely legendary. I haven't laughed even half this hard in a very long time. Something very cathartic happening here. If I might make a suggestion on a future iteration on this: Give them a puzzle featuring non-euclidean math. Make it the most difficult looking test, but with a 99% success rate and have the SIVR refer to them as "Esteemed Caller" for the duration of the call.

This phenomenon is called "the sunken cost fallacy" and it can keep them on the line for decades :D

OMG. This is funny AF. Every frustration that people encounter is baked into this system. I really loved the full voicemail boxes and the background call center noise with no actual rep on the phone.
I have seen so many of the various episodes of scambaiters, but time and time again, with their skill, expertise and just pushing the boat to the edge, they save a victim, there and then. But what is more impressive is their raw emotion when they realise how vulnerable the victim is and was. WELL DONE.
Please never shut this system down!! We need a series!
Agreed I could watch this daily
I'd think, as well, that relatively few tweaks could be used to make it look like different crypto/gift card redemption websites. With the likes of ai voice text to speech, it'd be easy to start a network of scambaiters and victims to redirect them down a spiral of 'redeem code' type phone options and/or using g their scripts against them building a bank of responses for common questions etc.

the predator never sees itself as a prey...
@@KNJfan Yeah, and probably the average scammer is not an all-out hustler, lying, cheating and capitalizing on every opportunity for self profit. It's more like they are rehearsed on this one particular scam, and probably don't have that much street smarts to adapt to changing situations. They are following a very specific checklist of things to do on a very specific scam, so they can't comprehend the situation, when they are themselves taken for a ride. At least it will cause expenses for the organisation.

Getting that kind of message after hours and hours and thinking you're getting a live call representative is so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye.
Another great aspect of all this is that there are literally hundreds of scams targeting crypto-users, and so it's not even that unrealistic that the same "victim" of the scammers is the victim of a shady or fake crypto exchange. So the scammers don't even know if they're dealing with a legit exchange or not, but have to pursue it regardless. When they're talking to Kitboga as a call-center rep and trying to bully him it's just not the same as when they're trying to bully victims (even Kitboga in character). The power dynamics are completely reversed, and the scammer knows it. The levels of irony are getting thick, and even if the scammer is aware of it, there's almost nothing they can do. They have to pursue it.

@@dylancrosby2451 i'm sure the actor's voice was pretty close to reality.
Lmfao that was literally Kitbogas voice 😂
@@FriteVerte being close to reality is not the same as being real.
Bro she smart enough to transfer bitcoins but get scammed for 6 years how wtff
Kitboga creating a terrible site and then receiving complaint calls to gaslight them further is just chef's kiss
I have spent over 60 days playing a game called war thunder and to know that collectively you have wasted the same amount of time of these scumbag scammers is awesome I love it
This is got to be the most sadistic beautiful craft ever made for the people that deserve it :')
You absolute genius all my respect goes to you.
11:17 'This mailbox is full...' That broke me. I was dying of laughter.
I literally laughed my head off involuntarily.
I died. That’s amazing. Then immediately after “please rate your experience..” hahaha
@@facedownchuckwere you able to put it back on?
the “FUCK” after got me so good
That hurt ME bro
I love how during your conversation with one of the scammers, you say that you've had hundreds of callers, and the system has worked flawlessly. Telling him that is the absolute peak of comedic irony for me, and anyone who thinks about it can understand what I mean.
Just got to that part. Flawless use of exact words.
Absolutely amazing content. Legit got authentic laughs from me and I almost never experience this anymore. Thank you @Kitboga & team for all the hard work
I'm just now getting to this, but it would be freaking hilarious if you added in the 'pre-customer service level', of where if they call in too heated, they're disconnected. They have to be calm and collected before they can actually get to the customer service 'agent'.
I was laughing the whole way through, but didn't expect to be in tears at the end. thank you for helping those older folks affected by these scum
Me too man. I'm crying right now.
Same 😭😭😭
Same I almost died at deez nuts
Free call sign followed by the modem/fax machine noise @ 7:56 almost killed me 🤣
Holy shit, the bit with the full message box is pure evil, they deserve it sooo much. Well done Kit and team!
you are an absolute saint for doing this. Imagine all the time they wasted here the number of people that weren't scammed because of you doing this.
Absolute brilliance.
You LITERALLY brought them to you!!
🤦🤣😁
We need many more of these types of sites....
You saved SO MANY in THAT time from being scammed. You literally STOPPED them in their tracks!!!
Just BRILLAINT.
The best part is when you get into their computers to find other victims and save them from these people.
Saw THAT one and made me cry of the woman YOU SAVED from 7 YEARS of torment.
We all know somebody who's been scammed.
I know a few myself and its heartbreaking, traumatic, devastating and depressing ....
Can destroy a person LITERALLY!!
To their death!!
