- Hey, guys! In today's video I'm sharing Dollar Tree Kitchen Organization ideas using products you can actually find! I totally get how it is to go into Dollar Tree and not be able to find a product you are looking for... so frustrating! Clean and organize my friend Shawna's kitchen cabinet with me. She recently re-did her kitchen and wanted to use her cabinets as a pantry space. When I first introduced my husband to Dollar Tree, he was more excited than your friend. Now he makes every reason in the book to go to Dollar Tree and we live 20 minutes away lol. Literally, he'll say "I need pens. Let's go to Dollar Tree. I need windshield washer fluid. Dollar Tree. I need this and that. Dollar Tree." 😂 I've never met a male so in love with this store more than myself.
That’s my girl .... and we live up the block form one so you can imagine how many trips she takes.

I am proud to say that I work at Dollar Tree and it's really alot of fun! I am semi retired and a part time job at Dollar Tree is perfect. I had worked in retail years ago but now that I have a job with D.T. it has worked perfectly with my schedule during the week. The staff is great and the customers are nice. As some of my customers would say, "Is everything here a dollar?" Can't wait to get into my new place because my apartment will be decorated with Dollar Tree merchandise. These videos are great and gives me so many ideas. If you haven't been to Dollar Tree, go now! If you are a regular you're the best! Enjoy!!😊

You make it look so easy! My favourite part of the makeover was the sticky tack on the bottom of the bins in the drawer. So smart, so easy!
Dude, your dollar tree is like a target compared to mine. Mine is like, 4 aisles. Shampoo, bleach, birthday cards, paper plates.
The only thing with under the oven is that with the heat when you use over it will melt chocolates and makes the food kind cooked or go rancid fast if any oils in the snacks.. that place is meant for pots pans, dry things, not food.

Exactly! I'm surprised that wasn't taken into consideration.
No, the point of that drawer is to keep food warm, that is why it heats and that is why plastics will melt. Read the manufacturer handbook on any oven and it states that. Not if you happen to have heat resistant cookware then it could be stored there as well, but that is not its intended purpose.
It varies by oven! Growing up our bottom drawer was the broiler. In my last oven it was a warming drawer, the oven I currently have states that that drawer is purely storage space. It changes by both manufacturer and model apparently.
Kate Li I agree with you. Ours is purely a storage space, it's how I designed my kitchen. You can not store any type of food it will melt. It gets very warm. Each oven and kitchen is different though. Another comment pointed out that some are used to keep food warm or to warm bread, broil things etc.. Ours is specifically for unused pans though and the point could of been brought up in the video because not everyone can put granola bars and juice pouches in there.

The ones in the eastern parts of Queens, NY are definitely not like this...
There are TONS of Dollar Trees within short driving distance of me and the one closest to me is small and always out of stuff. But there are two just like the one in this video that are only about a 5 minute or so drive from me. In different directions of course lol.

The clear snack containers are great!! I love being able to actually see how much I have of something. If it is still in the bag or box, the content amount can either be a good or bad surprise when you open it. The before and after.....ahhhhhhh!! 💕
Seriously, do all your boxes empty exactly into the containers, or are there some left over after the container is full?

Organizers work real well and looks amazing. I love the snack draw for the children that's the best part besides the snack containers in the cabinets. Great tip on opening boxes and stacking the shelves with those items organized straight out of the boxes.
Exactly what I needed!!! I am in the process of moving into my new home and was totally lost with cabinets organization. Drawer for kiddos snacks was GENIUS!!

It would be super helpful if you can share the total amount after renovation, that way we can actually known how to expect. I know is cheap, but I just thought that was a good extra bit of info.

My very favorite store is Dollar Tree! There are so many good containers for organizing! I'd love for some of my cleaning clients to set me free to organize their homes! Being organized makes it so easy to find what you want in seconds

These videos are so satisfying! I redid my pantry over summer break. I used the faux wood shelves with wood pattern contact paper and foam board. I had those awful wire shelves! After placing some baskets and hanging shelves, I love my pantry now. AND it’s so much more functional!

I do love to see more of her kitchen but it gives me plenty of ideas so that I can have an organized place - especially since I want a small home no more than 800 square feet and no less than 650 square feet.

I can spend HOURS, maybe DAYS in Dollar stores. So many options, products, little treasures, it's great!
need to add labels with expiration dates on the snacks/ cereal. plus i recommend finishing it completely before refilling, because you dont want to reach the bottom and chomp on stale food
Yep, then you still have boxes and bags sitting around that you were trying to get rid of. Then, actual life kicks in, have no time to dump into containers and now you have double the clutter. And your food tastes like plastic residue. I see those containers being put in a box in the garage in less than a month 😆

@@10meme11 Hey. Try it out. You tell me if your food doesn't taste like plastic. It's a different kind of plastic and not necessarily "food grade" nor is it regulated. Go ahead. Then get back to me to tell me I'm wrong. I don't mind. Drives my hubby crazy.
@@danna9680 I most definitely will try it. I'm very curious. I'm not going to reply to you to tell you that you're wrong because everyone's taste buds are different. My aunt says she hates the taste too but I don't think I ever really just paid it any attention.

Looks great! I think a candle or a succulent or a small piece of decor beside the toaster would hide the cord and make the kitchen look even better :)
Lisalea - I wrap Velcro ties around my cords then hang them on a command hook I've put on the back of the appliance. That at least helps. I've also added a vase or decorative storage box where appropriate.
I am so glad to see someone caring about both cost and energy expenditure. The video was quick, not one second was boring or slow and the choice of music pleasantly soothing, the ability to rectify the problem of kitchen clutter...looked easy to do and with not much effort. The name do it on a dime....beautiful and simple....we know its going to save money....use little to none and thanks for showing us how to dew it. I agree with the push the items through after opening both ends is MAGICAL....as the comment below mine says,,,changed my life!!! YUP ME TOO THANKS AGAIN
Yes, like others, I need you to Stop over and help me with my pantry too. I just got a New Dishwasher that I needed desperately but, I lost some cabinet space and my utensils drawer and the drawer where I kept my server large spoons and like spatulas. I moved them to one used drawer and up on the counter in vases. But I lost a drawer that I used for the stuff for barbecues.

mandaplay what you said..I go in there & browse around on every shelf sometimes there's nice stuff & sometimes there's not..I like when they have newer items but I swear what I see on CZcams isn't at ours 🤣
You can order items online and have them shipped to the store for pickup. Online orders have a minimum.; Like the purple top food containers, 4. The oval gray lid containers, 24.

I moved overseas, live in Greece, but don't remember the Dollar Tree back home having all that, but still pretty good. Now that I have no Dollar Tree here (Euro Tree would do) I'm thinking it was actually spectacular what I had back home lol

I love a good deal like everyone. But after seeing to many botched DIY projects where people have tried to do a quick and cheap kitchen Reno ... I'm now living with cabinets were the paints coming off and I'm sick of it. If your going to do it- do it properly by buying deglosser to get the polyurethane or acrylic off, then lightly sand. Wipe the deglosser and sanding off then paint with a enamel paint. In totall it should cost you about $200 USD but it's worth it to spend a little more . Trust me I've worked with painting company for years where people haven't properly taken the time to prepare or used wall paint and the results were awful.

Great cabinet makeover! The only thing I would do is perhaps put the expiration date on the bottom of the snack containers so you know when that particular snack expires. Love this vlog!

I would use tape, so you can change it and reuse the containers!
I use tape and I change it over and I put it on bsvk of container or mostly at bottoms x
If you use craft chalkboard labels you can just erase and re-use each time you refill the container. If you fill containers with "ingredients" (such as pancake mix or instant potatoes) you can use a larger label and record the instructions for use.

Do thefood stay fresh ? I find with other containers the food goes stale . I want to try these ones .
Do NOT get the silvery grey ones, they have holes, you will have stale any ridden food almost instantly... all the purple lock sides storage ones are great, but the perfectly square ones are hard to latch, but all are air and water right as far as I know, I have been using them for almost 2 years for storage only, I don't recommend microwaving any plastics, they warp and pit

A White kitchen is great and allows changing the mood with towels and plants😘 it also shows the dirt quicker so it doesn’t build up. I have gloss which reflects light on a dull day in the UK
Also, if she does any cooking at all in her oven, I would rethink putting snacks in that drawer, it gets hot in those and will degrade and melt things

Yeah I though that was considered a " warming drawer " . Those snacks will go bad very quick in there.
I think she had a wall oven, so no worries about snack drawer being too warm.
I do the same and sense everything is in bins its easy to take them out when i use my oven
That drawer under the oven looks really deep. It might be a good idea to put baking equipment in there
When you use the oven would it melt fruit snacks and such?
Always wash the containers with soap and water. Don't want any chemicals on the foods.

We are renovating our condo kitchen and I am gaining a pantry, so I’ll save this for when I can put everything away! The kitchen is beautiful! I’d love to see how would store towels, fish cloths, table runners, etc!
