Your "anything" drawer is called a junk drawer in my house. MB gave me inspiration on my kitchen organization . Since it's so hot now where I live, inside the A/C jobs it will be on my day off.
I have one of those, too. We all must have one of these! With the same things in it!
Organization and time management makes your life so much less stressful. You can always find things and it helps me to know I make good use of my time and am accomplishing things that need to be done. MB did a great job.🥰

How nice to have someone help you organize your kitchen. When we moved into our current home, I invested in glass containers, clear containers, and lazy susans for my kitchen cupboards. I still enjoy opening the cupboard doors and see everything accessible and organized. Hve been slowly doing this in other storage areas. I don't think you'll regret investing in your storage solutions if they work well for your needs.

It’s a game changer- we finally after 20 years are starting to give attention to our kitchen with a new to us cabinets with some custom elements renovation and it’s so much better - we are still working on things but it really does lift your mood and feels like a new kitchen- glad Embee could come over and help you with your organizing of things what a kitchen spa retreat for you ❤🎉😊
I always tell my kids/grandkids: when your house (home) is in order, then your house (internal home) is in order. Lessen your stress in the easiest ways possible, every little bit helps. And your kitchen is a great start. I searched thrift stores for old fashioned large glass jars, they have worked without fail and are budget friendly (but maybe not so kid-friendly at times 😂). This was an awesome video, kudos to MB.

I find that when I can see everything, it saves me money by not buying duplicates and to actually use the items I have. Organization is just so nice

I use mason jars. I use bulk herbs and tea. So, pint, quart and 1/2 gallon jars. Gallon jars for larger quantities of flour, sugar and pasta etc. l prefer to not use plastic. I can also dry seal the mason jars to keep things more fresh.
I do the same. Mason jars are so versatile.
I do the same thing because glass holds up better than plastic, and it's better for the environment.

I think many of us have cabinets that look like yours Mary. It is hard to keep everything organized in the kitchen. The results of MJ"'s organization are wonderful everything is easy to access. Your niece did great job! I remember when I was 12 or 13 yrs old and Istayed at my Aunt's house for a week in the summer time. I went thru all her kitchen cupboards and organized them. This video brought back some happy memories!❤

I too love to use containers in my cupboards. I worry about things expiring tho. So now I cut out the expiration date from the package and put it in the container facing out. I've had food poisoning before and I take no chances now. Wish my niece liked to organize. What a nice time you must have had together.

I have all my can goods on large lazy susans in my pantry. Makes it so easy to find things. One for soups, one for veg, one for salad dressings etc.

You inspire us to be better, better gals, better around our own homes, better crafters, better moms, just good people. For instance: I have decided I am going to TRY each day to accomplish three tasks. Complete them! I figure if you can do it and still do all the other things you do, I can get 3 tasks completed in my home to glorify God and my family. Your home is absolutely stunning, I mean it is always just perfect even when you think there is something to be embarrassed by. It's funny that we all seem to have similar situations. Things we want to do "eventually" but in the meantime we make do and often never get go the "done" stage.
I have two of those pull out drawers with doors and my daughter has the same except her drawers have nice fronts and no doors.
My main kitchen wish was to replace the doors with matching drawer fronts.
It's been 37 years in this house. I don't think I'm going to get my wish now I'm 80 next birthday.

We’re all with you on junk drawers, outdated spices, etc. Time goes by so fast that a person forgets about checking expiration dates. 🤦🏻♀️ I like to keep a lot of my beans, cornmeal, flour, chocolate chips, in mason jars. At a glance I can see how much I have. I also write the expiration date on the lid. I love organizing cabinets and drawers. It’s calming to me rather than having everything shoved in. All your containers are so cute. My dream is to someday have a spice area, at eye level, so I can quickly utilize them in recipes. She also did an amazing job on your recipe collection! Blessed to have such a talented niece! 🙌🏻👏

I was happy to see my draws looks like mine. I had gotten most of the trainers you have gotten off of Amazon, but I was just at wood said not knowing what to do. I am so very happy you posted this. I am 76 years old and I have used glass containers or whatever I could find. Actually I have had jars that I have seen on Amazon for $40 apiece. I have collected over 50 years. It is a great feeling to have a place for everything and everything in its place! I try to go through my spices & fridge in January for expired things. It is always amazing to me the things I find.
