    That was a perfect example of how to execute a concise video. Wow, well done. Perhaps next time include the date to start the video, price of product, and for this particular video, the relearn procedure if you know it (which I admittedly am searching for at present b/c mine was not plug and play).

      Thanks for the input. This video was uploaded in May of 2021. CZcams automatically lists how long ago the video was uploaded in the description. The part was bought from RockAuto and was about $180 at that time. It was plug & play, and did not need any type of “relearn” procedure.

      Actually, I disagree. He offered no backstory as to how he decided it was his control unit, no testing logic, no problem solving no before explanation of the problem, and no testing after.

    I would have switched to the automatic climate control unit. Yes, I know you would have to replace the harnesses, but I think it would look better with the automatic climate control unit. Just go to the junkyard cut the pigtails for the swap. That’s what I did.

    I own 2007 Silverado classic. I'm having problems with my A/C blowing when control is set at number 5. While driving, a/c is working well, too . I'm should I replace the a/c control?

    • @troup1993
      @troup1993  Před měsícem

      Not sure on that. It probably is the control head, but in rare instances, it could be the actual fan motor. Either way, its an easy swap for either.

      Connection ARE diffrent, I just came back from the junkyard. Het the one that looks like the one you have. Check connections first to make sure

    Could a bad control unit cause my passenger side to only blow hot, I just replaced the blend door and it’s still only blowing hot on passenger side, driver side works fine. Same unit as you.

    • @troup1993
      @troup1993  Před 5 měsíci +1

      That is very possible. Our trucks have several blend doors, and if they are working, then I would think it would have to be a bad head unit.

      It was about $140 from Rock Auto. I originally bought the Dorman one, but returned it and got the Cardone brand instead. The lighting behind the switches is much brighter
