    I have one. The first one broke after a few uses. They replaced it under warranty I will say their customer service is great. My second one feels like it's out of balance, I never use it. I wouldn't buy another one of their products again. But that was just my experience

      My Rupes polisher broke during the busiest season of the year. Will never buy one again. Moral of the story... they ALL have problems at times.

  • @andrewbrack77
    @andrewbrack77 Před 3 lety +5

    I have a 10fx with over 120hrs of use with zero issues. Got the 15da and within 30hr of correction the bearing went out and the backing plate started to have a crazy vibration. Tore it apart and the bearing inside came apart. Bought a second one because I needed to finish some work and within 25hrs of correction same thing happened. Having a one year warranty means you have to send in your machine and wait over a month to get it back. Absolute bs when you spent $500 on 2 machines within 8 months of each other and have cars to get done. And no I didn't drop it or use it incorrectly and damage it myself.

      Hey Andrew. I also had an issue with the 15da. Polisher had been used for 2 corrections prior before the backing plate flew off, fortunately not hitting the vehicle. Allen bolt was still secure in the threaded piece that is attached to the drive mechanism. Took it back and was told they had seen only one other unit that this happened to. Replaced the polisher with a new Torx 15da and has working good so far. Thinking this might happen again i purchased a Maxshine 15da as a backup unit.

    I have a Griots Garage 15mm polisher and I hate it. It stalls out all the time even on flat panels. I might have to get one of these. I have the 21mm Torq and I love that machine. No issues with that at all.

    • @craig.encinitas
      @craig.encinitas Před 3 lety +3

      I bought the MaxShine 15mm earlier this year. For the most part, I like it. However, even with the washer that is included to do the "mod", it still will not spin freely, and it stalls often. I ordered a thicker washer that I hope fits and will solve this problem. Why manufactures allow this, I don't know....I'm just an amateur.

Now I'm strictly a weekend warrior and I like to do a good job but I'm only ever doing 1 vehicle so I don't get oodles of experience, nor does my gear take a lot of abuse. Do I really need to replace the grease in this thing if I were to get one? And/or is it easy enough to do that I should just do it regardless?
