I have been undecided about the 4jj1 swap in my GQ because of the convert issues. You guys just sealed it for me. Now to get the dollars together so i can buy everything. I already have the re4 box in my car. This kit looks SOOOO much better than the last one and seems like its more of a factory finish to the whole thing too.
I have a R50 nissan pathfinder with a standard RE4 transmission, it's a V6 petrol ,completely stock car. My question is if l put the 4jj motor in would there be a need to change any ratios in trans. or diff? Obviously l would have to alter fuel lines ,wiring to suit diesel etc. It has 4.6 diff . ratios which are standard, keep up the great work guys , cheers
So depending on torque converter used people will have to messure and space the converter to make sure it's pushed into the trans properly or the other way around
This is all calculated to suit factory converter dimensions, so as long as whoever builds the converter doesn't change things then it won't need anything and will simply bolt up with 3.5-4mm converter float which is what all the big converter modifiers want.

Wouldn’t it be better/ easier for the crank spacer to be welded to the flex plate ?
Thus making it stronger
If someone wanted to do that they could although many manufacturers don't weld them together.

Obviously would have to get a stand alone for the auto box. But does it fit back into the factory gearbox position
Yes, either a shift kits tcu or a compushift tcu kit.
Gearbox remains in a similar position

What ECU do you use to run the engine?
Factory 4jj1 does the job well.
Will it still snap a crank?
Snapping cranks with 4js isn't really that common. 300+ hp seems to speed it up but even still we are yet to physically see one.
