Hi, Great video! I own a 2023 Pajero Sport, love the vehicle however when pressing down on the accelerator pedal and being a diesel all / most of the power is mid range so there is quite a delay until acheiving power. Would a throttle controller help in this scenario in removing this delay? I’ve found the delay frustrating especially when merging in traffic and going around round-abouts. Hopefully I’ve explained my situation correctly. Looking forward to your thoughts. Cheers!

I’d honestly rather keep the zd30 di. Crd is heaps better for getting more power. But as long as you keep an eye on your egt, water temp and boost. Keep on top of services with quality oil. You can chance 200-250 hp while keeping it safe. That being said there’s is allways going to be a few that blow, but same goes with every other motor. Keep services up and use quality parts. They should go forever as long as you’re reasonable with the numbers you chance. Not to mention I have a zd30di, but I’d still love a 4j or even a zd30 crd. There heaps better but the Di still stays strong if you look after her.

where is the water temp measured? is there a thermostat in it? probably not a good thing that the engine never gets to normal running temp ie around 90degc as that is where the oil will be designed to provide optimum protection.

When you say it was running in standard form, did you run it off the factory Nissan ecu ?

Why not just use the 4jj1 gearbox the transfer case goes the right way and adapting drive shafts and gearbox mounts would be cheaper than a gearbox engine adapter
