I'm ok with potter nino cos as you saw in this game potters team outplayed us at the bridge... when does that ever happen where a so called smaller team that ain't fighting for all the top trophies can come to Stamford bridge and out play us like that it shows the manager of the smaller team has more about him than the man managing the bigger team in this case it was tuchel... very telling that is for me... and potter is the best English manager right now, also last season I was saying he will get a top job at a bigger club if he keeps brighton playing how he has them playing and lo an behold here he is I'm all for it coyb 💙💙💙💙

Yes... In terms of passing distribution, Kepa is miles better than Mendy. I believe under Sarri, Kepa scored as among the best goalkeeper distribution accuracy and rate, alongside Ederson and Allison (correct me).
So yeah, if Potter is looking for that kind of goalie, we have Kepa. And I think we should give Kepa a chance to play in his forte.

@@davidalase4328 Yes. As much as I love Mendy, the confidence to play the ball on one's feet while having an open goal on one's back doesn't come overnight.
That's a lot of pressure to have the ball as a goalie.
As for Kepa though, I think he was a pretty solid shot-stopper under Sarri. Yes, he plummeted under Lampard, but I think the ability is there.
Besides, I think in a possession-based team, shot stopping ability is less important than the skill and confidence with the ball.

And after tasting success with the system winning CL , CWC and SC . He couldn't get out of the system and we were forced to play same kind of football side to side football with wingbacks involved heavily. The difference here is that, Brighton is the underdog. And Chelsea doesn't park the bus. And there is no big pressure in them losing the game against a big team. But at Chelsea, the opponents (smaller teams) will park the bus against him and losing will not really be an option as we already know how impatient the fans, board and media are so it will be interesting to see how he will deal with that.

This is the most english comment I've ever seen. lol yes, Jorginho is having a dip in form in recent games. He is not the fastest or most physical player in the team. But if you check the stats you will see how important he is. And you can see the void in our midfield when he doesn't play. He dictates the tempo and provides a passing outlet in difficult positions. A progressive pass is not always an option when the forwards are not making the run or are not in the right position although I should say, you seem to miss the numerous crucial forward passes he made in most matches. Anyway, why do you think this "ever back passing" midfielder is picked by 3 different managers consistently?

Open goal? Shoot? No, no. We pass to our wingbacks and recycle. We will get them next time.

Say, Havertz is on for the goal with the ball on his feet, and one defender is currently on his shoulder. He can shoot whenever he want on his left, but he got scared because if he mess it up, he may get an earful from someone.

Potter has to take the job, but the players will see him as an unproven coach. They will not adhere to his tactics, and will cost him his job. He just doesn't fit the profile of a big club manager, even though he is capable of success. There are way too many egos at Chelsea that will see Potter as below their grade.
