He used this buildup for the first time at Shaktar two years ago and also in the last match at Sassuolo (I’m an italian guy who love is style of play, he is one of my hero, and now I’m very happy because he is in the battle for Europe in Premier)
Brighton had the perfect team to work with De Zerbis tactics due to in no small part Potter building a very fluid high pass accuracy team that could work in multiple systems. Give potter enough time at Chelsea, and he will build them to a high level again, it will just not be the instant gratification that Chelsea fans have been used to. They've been the English galacticos for the last 20 years new they need to build a more solid foundation to compete with city, look at arsenal they gave Arteta time, and it's looking to finally pay out.
It turned out for the better but wasn't a blessing having your manager taken and ripped out the resting coaching staff and left us with under 23's coach to take charge. For that Potter won't be forgiven even with the amazing job he did. Bruno was massive disappointment he was a legend
The 2-4 buildup shape is very effective due to the defending team throwing only 5 players max in pressing. Pep usually uses this shape against Klopp’s Liverpool, although he is switching to a back 3 in recent matches
As an Italian football lover and huge De Zerbi's fan, I must say that I never seen such accurate and detailed tactical video about his football philosophy. Great video!

I am a Japanese fan. There is one big problem with Brighton football. That is that once I get used to watching their beautiful games, it becomes very boring to watch the Japanese national team.
I saw all these elements in De Zerbi's first game in charge at Brighton. I didn't get a clear picture of the details as you have explained now. However, I saw the element of aggressive pushing of passes to spaces from the defence to the attack on several occasions during their transition and Trossard was a constant threat in and around the opposition's box. Great analysis. I understand the dynamics better now.
Like De Zerbi's approach, possession football! because if you don't have the ball you can't create, and having the right piece on the field this style of football is deadly.
Brighton CBs did this a lot against Leeds. Dunk and Webster would stand on the ball just waiting for us to press. Unfortunately, the crowd piled on the pressure for Leeds to press and press, but it allowed Dunk and Webster to set traps and pass out, leaving us vulnerable in midfield with big gaps.
I was there and I'll be the first to admit that I was very frustrated by our low press. Fans were furious but it shows that they wanted us to press when they were just stood waiting for us rather than playing a pass
