    Kyrgios is relying purely on his "talent" alone as of right now in his career.. Looks at the other players that he was with, Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Berrettini, Rublev. They're all in such great environment where they're constantly challenging against better players and putting in the grind.. Nick is just slowly becoming a more talented Tomic in the end with an ego to match it. Kudos and bye.

      I’m a little sad to realize I agree with everything you said. Kyrgios is clearly afflicted by some demon that is not as interested in torturing other talented tennis players. Part of me wishes we will see his full potential.

      I don’t agree with your way of thinking. What makes you believe that Kygrios wants to be the best, to harness his talent to become the number 1? Kygrios doesn’t want that. He wants to enjoy life, playing crazy shots, electrifying the crowd and saying things he wants to say. He is an artist Kygrios, and his career is successful in his own way.

      The slice backhand is not what gave him the match. Facing a fat and out of form Kyrgios gave him the match.

      Pretty blatant racquet tap at 2:10 to try to put Kyrgios off. No way that one was for balance. And he’s been guilty of that in the past. He’s a good player, and I like his style of tennis. But he uses more gamesmanship than any other player on your.

      Yup. Unlike the rest who can maintain their fitness until around 30 through rigourous training, Kyrgios, likely from a lack of rigour in training, is showing real signs of aging. His shots just don't have that 'pop' he used to have when he was younger anymore.

Removing them is blunt racism against them, especially when they don't want to get removed. What they should do is put a limit on the amount of top 10 players you can get. And also give up on Kyrgios. I like him but way better choices Jesus. Diego Felix and Isner lost for a small margin. Kyrgios gets destroyed on singles or gets carried by isner on doubles.

    Kyrgios spends 90 minutes getting his ass kicked, then hits one good drop shot and does the hot dog shimmy. 10 minutes later he walks off, a loser. That sums up his career over the past two years.

    Kyrgios needs to hit a fucking flat forehand. He did it earlier in his career, but the more I've watched his matches, the more he seems to settle for the loopy moonball shit. Maybe it's because of bad footwork/movement. Idk but it isn't penetrating the court like it did in 2015-2017

      You're right, he started trying to copy Nadal but it made his forehand way worse. This is why he needs a coach, he's making dumb decisions to change things that don't need changing and isn't changing what he needs to do - work ethic & fitness.

    It's just heartbreaking to see that amount of talent and pristine touch go to waste on kyrgios... The sheer instinctual approach he has just isn't enough against more physically prepared opponents... I can only imagine a parallel universe in which he yielded all the raw capabilities he has in his sleeve; he could've been top 3 with just a little more effort and mental resilience

      @@HS-ie8tj of course it's not heartbreaking in the literal sense; and not everything is about the money, especially in sports and especially from the point of view of a fan. It's more about the legacy, the history, the accomplishments, the expression of high level of performance.
      Now, of course that's not what kyrgios (or tomic, monfils and many others) is about: he knows what's best for him and he seems happy with it, so it's all good. I'm just talking from my own egotistical viewpoint of a tennis watcher that cares about a good story and entertaining, skillful play, both of which kyrgios has shown plenty, and I'm just sad that we didn't get to see much more of.

    Kyrgios is a wasted talent. He's just good for highlights but has a weak mentality and cant handle the pressure when he's pushed against the wall. He quits immediately after starting to lose the game.
    I remembered a few years ago when he's supposed to be an upcoming superstar but right now he cant beat these young guys

      He doesn't really quit, he's just not that good. Most of the part of getting good is done in preparation and training before the match even begins, and Nick doesn't put in the work. Stefanos outplayed him simple as that.

      I mean, if you've followed him for a while it's easy to tell tennis was never really a passion for him, unlike basketball. And a few times now he's said that he's satisfied with his career because he was able to beat the top guys, even though he himself could've become a top player if he put in the work. As much as we would've all liked to see him win slams and become a star, there's a reason why he tanked so much even early in his career

    A slow court is all Tsitsipas needs to succeed. His backhand is suddenly no problem at all, his return of serve works, he can even hit passing shots, he suddenly has time for everything. This is a perfect surface for his game. The key for his future will be finding a way to play like this on quicker courts, too.

    Kyrgios is easily one of if not the most talented players on the tour. This time two years ago he was winning comfortably against tsitsipas and zverev and winning in style. Such a shame he doesn’t put the work in as he has the potential to win a couple of slams if he put his mind to it

    Didnt watch so much of Tsitsipas...but thats the right match to see how good he is😁 or its shows better how much Kyrgios behind? He is definitely missing most of his fitness hours

    They had applied some stranger camera effect, it seems that the ball is so slow, even knowing that locally it is going very fast, look at 1:14 on Tsitsipas point, the ball seems so slow 🤔

    Someone who applies himself to the game these days would be more deserving sadly , no point including a lazy Gumby who plays bugger all tennis really , he’s just not good enough atm … and I’m a fan of his as a rule :-(

    Nick kyrgios always wanted to be the showman. He was never interested in winning Grandslams or any major ATP event. He did have the talent, the game, the shots. But, no focus or drive.

    We all know Nick can do better than this, he is just not good enough for those guys at the moment. I hope he would rise again, he has the potential be the top guys, I like his game on court.

    Kygs needs to flatten out his forehand more when attacking short balls. E.g. that approach shot at match point was super poor.
