It's cool to listen to nails actually be human. Because when I watched him play I thought he was a raving lunatic. He was a frightening individual to say the least. Brown was an animal also.

Hospodar was def a guy you hated until he was on your team. I hated him w the Rangers, loved him with the Flyers. Nilan, on the other hand, is a guy who I never loved (because he was never a Flyer..and I'm from NY btw) BUT, I now LOVE as a human being. If there was ever a player who deserves the HOF for his accomplishments during, but particularly AFTER the game, it would be Chris Nilan. He is a true inspiration. Just my opinion.....Thanks for all you do...
When Cheli stepped in Knuckles should have taken his Jersey off. Brown is almost invincible without a sweater.

Chris, I live in the Detroit area, and I watched this on the CBC affiliate in Windsor. When I turned it on they were showing the brawl already in progress and Don Cherry and Ron McLean were talking about what they were seeing. Didn't really get to see that much. But sometime later, I was able to see the French broadcast and was able to see the whole from start to finish. It was sure one helluva dance party. But I think the Good Friday Brawl between your Canadiens and the Nordiques was even better. Two brawls for the price of one.

Chris Nilan was a hockey player, not just a fighter like Brown was - so why would he stoop down to that level? He did just fine in the fight, even with the obvious disadvantage. It shows you how tough Nucks truly was...

It was a super long fight between knuckles and brownie. Seemed like it went on forever.
Rick Tocchet seemed fired up out there but got paired off with Mike McPhee. Looked like he popped McPhee a few times, and he was a strong player, but I'm sure he wanted to get a hold of somebody more in his measure as a fighter. Wild scene.

Two Canadiens who I thought should have fought someone … anyone. Sergio Momesso and Stephane Richer. For the Flyers I am shocked Mike Stothers didn’t fight or Scott Mellanby.
I;ve followed hockey since there were 6 teams. I lived in So. Jersey during the Broad Street Bullies era. I totally disagree with Nilan. The current era of cheapshot artists like Marchand have made me not watch even though I now live in NC and sometimes watch the Hurricanes. The NHL needs to crack down on players like Marchand (and others) or allow enforcers back into the game.
Chris Nilan is not a rocket scientist
