Bula @Mark Healey, you might already know or it may be a coincidence, but the opening song is about the "beautiful blossoming waves of Fiji". Great choice of music. :) Thanks for the great video!
As long as it doesn’t get infected, that wave looked well worth it!
Scored!!!! over and over and over again.incredible work gentlemen.BULLA!!!!❤️❤️🔥❤️🔥..
Thankyou brother..big big fan..of all your work.large and LARGER.especially Big Puerto...
your a big spirit.and a Big inspiration..I would normally say just go but some of the big big stuff.i have to say consider your ability before swinging into giant insanity...
Thanks again from West Oz.🔥❤️🔥❤️🦘
Between getting pulled in by the ahi and limes for the owies and getting drained and draining your sinuses looks like your have a blast Heals. Love sharing the passion thnx for bring us along for the ride.
Was very blessed to surf that place often alone working as a surf guide taking dive groups out there and surfing while they did their scubaduba thing.. Miles out to sea, big blue tornados, living the dream. Have had it epic. Loved this. Took me straight back out there. Thanks.
Limes are in my boat from now on that right was so good great vid mahalo
Epic Journey
this Fiji series has been awesome! Production quality is amazing, Ive been looking forward to every video!!
Thank you! It’s just me and my filmer/editor Jesse putting these together.
@@strikemissions wow thats awesome! I honestly was looking forward to the vids in this series more than anything else on yt rn
Well done.
I loved the part with the grom's getting stoked it made me smile so thank you for that!
Glad to hear it
0:52 Hou you stuck that! That was some pretty nutz surfing… and the left looked heavy & critical, but very rewarding on the lil WRV!! 👍🏼
Still riding Meeks Surfboards! What up Ronnie! (from Tom P)
Lime is great for so many things.
Superb series, looking forward to your next videos.
And thank you for sharing the dream.
A las chicas le gusta un plato de Ceviche a lo Healey.. Great show 👏
Great sessions Mark, enjoyed the little twinnie work you were doing. Beautiful day, beautiful place, beautiful waves.
I had heard about the limes being an effective reef recovery med before however never used it. Makes a lot of sense though.
All the best, stay healthy and thanks for the vid.

The surfing, the music, the setting, the edits, the characters, all amazing!
Incredible! Thank you for sharing!! Tight lines!
So pumped watching this with Fijian music and Frigates off Beqa lagoon as your back drop. Made me so homesick sitting here in Saudi! Vinaka vaka levu Mark and awesome surfing bro!
Awesome explanation on the lime scrub first-aid.
Epic comes to mind . Frigates is such a beast ! Thanks Mark and crew , loving these vlogs , so much better than WSL's offerings . YEW ;-)
Great tip on the limes for reef “taxes”… busy sailing through now and paying my share of reed tax… been using iodine so will try the lime trick next
I met a paramedic in Vanuatu where there is a lot of shallow reef. She said the best thing for reef cuts is to travel with a piece of pure soap, (sunlight etc) grate it and add some sugar and put it on the cut as a poultice then cover it up with a bandaid or something to keep it in place. The sugar is the catalyst for the soap to draw any coral bacteria out and in the morning it should be pink and clean and good to go. I've had the full lemon scrub and the hydrogen peroxide and this works better I reckon without any of the stinging. The first bit of this looks like beautiful Kadavu - that place is heaven on earth if you don't mind getting off the beaten track.
Brah that left is so sick! Loving these edits! Aloha 🤙🏼
LOVE LOVE these Strike Mission vids, great content! Great people! No attitudes. Humble, grateful and giving. See you in Oahu. Mahalo-
Awesome film. Love the music and video. Thanks
Thanks!
Looks like too much fun! These Fiji edits have been high grade! Thx 4 sharing the mission! 🙌🏼🤙🏼
Never a wrong choice to ride a twin, 2ft or 10. Cheers Mark.
Fantastic edit Mark. So refreshing to watch just the few of you reap the rewards by not following the pack.
We never really documented the six days on the front end with nuking winds and a stomach illness going around the boat. It felt great for it to all come together on the second half.
Amazing video, so much fun to watch. It's the first time I've watched one of your vids. It reminded me of Bruce Brown's style, shot beautifully, so down-to-earth and great sense of humor. "Healey ceviche," it works. See, it says "Heal" right in the name.
The Fijian Islands, locals, and their music are treasures. Those kids are stoked. Glad ya had a great trip. Thanks for sharing such an amazing experience.
Thanks!
Nice job! Ripping!
You rarely hear about this wave any more, surfed it 15 years ago and since then I always think about it.
Great videos, thanks for sharing. I think you have the best outdoor adventure channel. Totally authentic.
Thank you! We try to keep it real.
Epic 🤙🏼
Nice! 🤙
Mahalos for the video !!! I’m sailing over that way from Kauai next year Lord willing, these videos are pumping me up!!!! Cheeeuuuu
Good luck!
What kind of dive watch do you use? Love your videos!
You know you had a great barrel session when your draining you sinuses after Mahalo Mark!
Smells like victory
Gracias dude! Muy bueno will be using the lemon trick in el futuroooo
It’s better than a cup of coffee!
5”2 board did good shorty board cant believe you surfed that wave with it
hot tip - take a non-steriodal anti inflammatory 20-30mins before the lime rub and it doesn't hurt
hey why are your boards so small? do you pt really big fins in? im similar size slightly taller but my boards are 4 inches longer than yours (for normal waves)?
Your so lucky to travel to beautiful places and surf perfect waves uncrowded.....I like to see more sunsets/sunrises on your bog...also Mark have you
ever worn the padded wetsuit vests...That covers your upper torso and down to your back=tailbone..Like the one Jamie Obrien wears when
he is around reef breaks..It's saved so many from reef encounters and other guys at the same place were all scraped and scarred...it's definitely
worth trying....They also have lightly padded long-sleeve surf shirts....Greg
I use those in big waves primarily for the floatation. It’s had to wear those in the tropics though because you overheat.
Thats a MR template. Epic video.
🚀
Dang Healey!
Hi Mark- I’m loving my twin fins over last few years, I didn’t catch what brand / shaper yours is- I’m based in Victoria Australia- hopefully I can get hold of one- loving the content, yeeew!
The board was shaped by Ron Meeks who shapes out of HI 🤙🏼
Cheers Mark
In Florida here we mix aloe vera with lime juice, put it in the refrigerator and get it good and cold before we put it on. 😊
That’s a new one for me. Used them both separately.
@@strikemissions during zika outbreak here in Miami I found out for a natural holistic bug repellent that tea tree oil works. This girl give me some natural holistic bug repellent. She made it herself and she told me that the active ingredient was tea tree oil.
Mark, have you tried the Chinese sauce they have in Bali?
Second wave looks like frigates.....that place can get heavy
Its out there in middle of ocean
0:59 It’s not shallow!🤪🏄🏻♂️
I back the lime move, but I do remember reading somewhere that lemon/lime isn’t actually the best as it dries out the wound? But I’m assuming the “scrubbing” with the fruit helps get bacteria out?
Yes, the primary benefit that I’m going for is killing the bacteria that’s on the coral. Corals have a slight slime coating to them that can have Staph in it
You Are Gnarly.
Probably raising up a grip of gnarly kids too
F awsome mark good to see other spots in Fiji lose that stupid diving watch lollll
I do actually dislike that watch…
@@strikemissions mark been following u for like 20 years now that performance u put on at Waimea was incredible thanks for all the awsome clips my friend
ALL REAL LIFE
