Someone who innovates something, like breaking. He helped make alot of moves when he was bboying. Alot of the moves we use we're made from him.

I was fortunate enough to cross paths with Gerald as he came down from the bay w/Bboy Charles as a judge for Vegas Shakedown 12- From the brief time i spent with him, one could tell he was a real humble and kind soul. What really surprised me were the story's that him and Charles were reciting as well as the bond between both of them, one would surely have to believe they were blood brothers.

Yeah, he's not one of the first breakers, but definitely someone who helped pave the way to the moves we see now. He created the one handed hopping scissor kicks, for example. He was also one of the first to perform the airflare.

I've only been Breakin for a year now. But I researched the history of Bboying and have met many kinds of bboys. I never knew Gerald. But based on what was said about him, he would have been a guy I would have liked. R.I.P

Pioneer - A person who is among the first to explore or settle a new country or area.
If you know about the moves that were explored in the 90's he was one of the first handful of folks to do airflares, first to do one hand hops on one hand, first to do roll back freezes....he had alot of signature moves that only he did as well.

If he helped pave the way for us bboys, I respect him. i never met him nor heard of him because I'm new to the bboy scene but hearing what he did, he's an amazing guy/bboy. It's unfortunate that he had to leave so early, but he did what he could in the short amount of time.
    RIP GERALD .

An originator. A pioneer is often one of the first few people who created a movement that influenced many others. Pioneer means he was there when it first began meaning he was present, a crucial part creativity that influenced many others to pursue because they were inspired by the pioneer for creating or having an ‘Original’ idea. Meaning Pioneers are Original People. They have an idea they start it. It grows tranction and other people do the same or soon follow because they like the idea or become suddenly influenced by what a group of people started. Pioneer is someone who introduces an original idea that soon becomes popular because Originators Or Pioneers Have Style. They have style pioneers have style.
