      @Rasmus Andersson and that's why the voting system MUST be changed!!! Let other countries win!!!
      If Poland will win 4 times in a row, I can see a lot of countries withdrawing from JESC, because they see they can't win, because they're not Poland.
      Btw, I realized that Poland is the only country who finished last twice in a row (2003-2004), beside the fact they're the only country who won twice in a row.

    It is a shock when you found out Georgia won 3 times the JESC but have not had such great success with the ESC...

      Along with Malta, Belarus, Armenia, Poland, Croatia. Russia hasn't won Eurovision a second time yet too. Actually only Spain, The Netherlands, Ukraine and Italy have less wins in Junior as in Eurovision Song Contest.

    Shortest gap of participation between JESC and ESC: Anita Simoncini (represented San Marino as part of the Peppermints in JESC 2014 and sang alongside her bandmate's brother in the ESC 2015 in Vienna)

      I think that he/she decided not to count Serbia & Montenegro because it simply doesn't exist anymore and therefore can't take part in Junior Eurovision, but Switzerland can

    And now my country (The Netherlands) holds the record of the most participations, after Belarus has now officially withdrawn from the contest, because EBU has expelled BTRC.

      @@wiekeboiten6742 I'm pretty sure Sandra had to lie about her age and had to say she was 16. Or maybe I'm confusing her with a boy that was 11. I'm pretty sure the boy was for Monaco.

      @@esmaystokhof Sandra did lie about her age and the lyrics of her song said that she was 15 but in reality she was 13 at the time of the contest and the runner-up Switzerland tried to disqualify her after she had won but it was denied by the EBU.

      @@isabellesmith3314 well, we cant say JESC was created in case of restrictions, because restriction is since 1990, when first JESC was in 2003, so... for what they waited 13 years

    In 2018 France returned to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest after a record 13-year break, the longest ever absence by a country which subsequently returned to the contest.

    What about the oldest and the youngest contestants ever by birth date?
    Oldest: I think it's @lex (Norway 2004), who was almost 16 when the contest of 2004 took place (was born in 1988, I think. If the one from Sweden 2005 turned 16 in the contest's time, she's a year younger than @lex).
    Youngest: I think it's Tatyana from Russia 2019, who was born in December 2009.

      I know Viktorija Loba and Roel Felius were born in 1987, so they are probably the oldest! And yeah, Tatyana is the youngest for sure

      The youngest performer is actually Nicholas (Greece, 2003) since he was only 8 years and 4 months old at the time. But that was before the rules changed

      @@ET31171 I meant the contestant with the latest birth date. If Nicolas was 8 years old in 2003, he was born in 1995. Now the contestant with the latest birth date is Soleá, who will represent Spain this year. She was born in June 2011.

    If I remember correctly, Spain in 04 had gotten the then record for the most points in a contest. But that's not the record I'm referring to, it was that record had stood as the most points won, for at least 10 years, when Malta had beaten when the contest was in Bulgaria.

    Katsiaryna Lipouskaya was the writer and keyboardist for Belarus in 2003, she was born on October 2 1987 and I think she was allowed as she was the songwriter ;~;

    I really loved it, you should do a part 2 because I’m sure there are so many more out there. What about the shortest jesc song ever? I don’t know what it is. And didn’t Serbia and Montenegro (former) participate only in 2005.

      I’m not sure if they are related, but I know Sweden sent three singers with the same last name in three years.
      What about the biggest group? It’s probably from Georgia 🇬🇪

    Armenia now has a record of five second places after 2022, along with a second win in 2021.This effectively makes them the most successful JESC country by average placing.

    i just have to say this, if 2016 was set up as any other year, so included televoting/online voting armenia would have won hands down. It was one of my favourite songs on the night and it is still my favourite song of the 2016 contest to this day.

    I dont know if I would consider Viki Gabor the winner by more points. I mean, in global terms she has the most points but it's by a different system than other years where there were half the total points

    Maybe you should count Serbia & Montenegro as a 1-time competing country as well. And now that 2020 has ended, we can add Germany to that list for at least now as well :)
    Also, wouldn't the quickest win also count for Croatia in 2003? Though I guess it doesn't count because it's the first edition, kinda with Lys Assia in 1956 with the adult contest.

    Armenia Finished 2nd for the fifth time in the JESC 2022. So Armenia Now Has Finished 2nd 5 Times And Not 4.
