I see the monsters of Hyrule as expressions of the different facets of Ganon. The Lynel represents his skill and cunning as a warrior. They claim territory away from roads. They do not threaten settlements. They do not instantly engage Link on sight as he passes them, as long as he respects their personal bubble.
I never sneak up on Lynels. They are the only enemy to show me respect, so I make sure I enter their territory on foot, walking, with my hands empty. I wait for them to issue a challenge by drawing their weapon, and then I draw mine to accept.
Lynels are just about the only creatures of Ganon I could see forming a society of their own. They are excellent smiths, powerful and skillful combatants, and far more intelligent than anything else. I almost wish there was an expansion to Kilton's disguises, where you could befriend a monster. I would absolutely make friends with a Lynel.

Lynels are kinda weird because some of them behave differently. In general, they let you know they notice you, but give you a chance to rethink your decisions. The same doesn't apply to the red lynel near Zora, which will attack you as soon as you get spotted. The one in the coliseum ruins is also quite aggressive, it might decide to target you with its bow even if you leave before triggering the fight. It also has superpowers, since it can hit you even when you're supposedly taking cover

I like that you fit so many neat tips in such a short video. This is a perfect example of how to use the "shorts" format.
If I ever manage to play master mode properly, some of these tips - especially the one where I can avoid the starting zone Lynel - will come in handy.
It's so frustrating, I'd love to try a harder mode, but the difficulty curve is just stupid. The first enemies you encounter now have several times the HP, and when you only have sticks, you'll exhaust your whole inventory just to kill one. And not only does it take far longer to kill a single enemy, I'm likely to die after 1-2 hits. 😩

  • @davidswanson5669

#1 best/quickest/safest/easiest way to kill Lynel is to shoot their head with 5-shot arrow (using regular arrows) while wearing twice-upgraded barbarian armor. That’s all you have to do. Just keep shooting at its head, and it will stay in one spot because every third or so shot will stun it (or whatever it’s called).
Of course I didn’t say it’s the quickest way, in terms of all the time it takes to reach the ability to earn 5-shot bows or upgrade armor, but once you’ve done that then killing a Lynel is trivial. I also use glitches to transfer durability/heal my weapons/duplicate weapons, and of course I use the torch trick (at lost woods entrance) to replenish arrows, but none of that is necessary.

With Mulduga, you can have the creature swallow the first bomb… then if you fire the bomb arrows at it, you’ll stun it. The moment it gets back up, you can explode the internal bomb and stun it a second time.
