Part three of our Blue Mountain travel series, where we spent three days in Katoomba and Wentworth Falls.
We started with a short walk to Princes Rock Lookout to get a good view of Wentworth Falls which is a spectacular waterfall running off a massive cliff.
Then we checked into our accommodation at Hotel Mountain Heritage which was very luxurious and offered a delicious three course breakfast.
We visited Katoomba Falls which has a bunch of very short walks to lots of lookouts before heading back to Wentworth Falls to complete a longer hike. We walked past the top of the waterfall and followed the National Pass around the side of the cliff before returning to Princes Rock Lookout via the Undercliff Track. This was an epic spot for sunset!
On day two we spent the morning at Scenic World where we rode the World's steepest railway and caught the cableway down to Dinosaur Valley. There were heaps of interactive dinosaurs and definitely had a Jurassic Park feel.
We then walked to Minnehaha Falls which was a really nice hidden gem in the Blue Mountains National Park. We then watched the sunset at Lincoln's Rock which was incredible but also very busy!
On the morning of day three we headed out to Echo Point Lookout which is famous for its view of the Three Sisters. We did the walk out to Honeymoon Bridge, however it was closed and you couldn't walk out onto the first sister.
We followed the stairs down and completed the Giant Stairway which consists of 998 stairs down to the valley floor before making our way straight back up again. A great workout!
Our next stop was Valley of the Waters where did a beautiful lesser known hike down to Empress Falls and Sylvia Falls. Both waterfalls were stunning and I loved that they were on the same walking track, definitely worth a visit.
We treated ourselves to dinner on the last night at Embers Grill Restaurant at the Fairmont Resort which was unbelievable. The food was amazing and the views were unreal as we watched the sun set from our table.

Awesome bushwalk. Looks like a lot of hard work but it's worth it I guess. Been in the Blue Mountains many years ago back in the mid eighties. Try The Cascades? Ok getting down there by foot but hard work getting back up.
