Wow it's changed a lot since I was young, I can remember going down in the train with no roof at all, gee it was great and a few times we got off and walked back up and there was no viewing platform near the three sisters just natural walk way, even encounted a few leaches as well, memories, once again love your videos
Great video guys, I was born in Katoomba…such an amazing place. I now live at the base of the Blue Mountains. Another awesome brewery for anyone travelling to the Blue Mountains from Sydney is at Penrith called Squinters Brewery, absolutely awesome little brewery & a must stop on your way up or down the mountain. So many amazing walks in the Blue Mountains, you could literally spend weeks up there.
Two Thumbs up !!!! Your videos just get better and better.....thanks for taking along....Wishing you both a Very Merry Christmas from Canada....Blessings and Cheers....Ray
Beautiful and stunning Blue Mountains! When you guys went on that gondola and put the helmets on, at first I thought you were going to bungee jump! I was surprised Stace would do it! LOL! 🤣
OMG 😱 what an awesome way to end your Trip ( definitely not for me i have really bad scared of heights plus a very nervous experience in a cable car ) But can fully understand the totally why you want to do it. The views were Breathtaking ,just capturing them like that , you never never Forget 😜. Happy Holidays. And huge Thank you for all your videos this year , i enjoyed them so much ❤ Give Nalu a huge cuddle HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎆 Wishing you both all the very Best for 2023 🥂🍾💥🥰
Happy new year! Oh we get it, once you've had a bad experience it can be like scar tissue. Glad you get to do all these crazy things with us then from the safety of your home then!
Just returned from a 5 days in the blue mountains yesterday. We stayed in Katoomba in an Airbnb. Will be returning for sure. Definitely more to explore and just enjoy nature.
Probably the trees in the valley floor have grown since I was last there, but you used be able to see the top of the waters of the Warragamba Dam (the major source of water for Sydney's supply system) down to the bottom left of the screen. For great views over the valley to the south of the highway, you still can't beat the small village of Medlow Bath a few kms to west. Great views over the Grose Valley, which runs to the north of the railway line/highway all the way east, try Evans Lookout at Blackheath. You need a car to get there. More views, this time to the west as well as the south, are from Mt Victoria and Mt York. Mt York is the point reached by Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson on their expedition, and the view extends west over the Hartley Valley to the ridge of the Dividing range. Again, car only. The village Leura is pronounced Loora.
your videos are fantastic! just discovered your channel today and can't stop watching your trips. Thanks so much for these great insights and tips. You really get a good feeling for what to expect from those places. Amazing. 😍 Can't wait to explore these spots next year :))
That was an amazing adventure and thank you for really showing what the experience is like. I hope I can do it one day, I stood at the top of scenic world once wanting to go on all the rides but vertigo kicked in badly and I just couldn’t do it.
The view from the top of the cable cart😱😍 I can't stop imagining what it would feel like to be proposed to up there. I don't think I'd be able to stop the tears. Just breathtaking!!
Hi guys, new sub. I really enjoyed watching your day. Thank you for that. Your bravery is so impressive - I would so be sitting on the top of that cable car, assuming I ever got up on it at all. (A few Aussie pronunciations: Loo-rah, Jam-i-son.) Cheers.
@@DanegerAndStacey She is amazing! We have a 2-y-o cavoodle and your baby reminds me so much of him when he was new. Love watching your romps with him, and yes, life changes.
Thank you for the lovely video. What month was this please? As Stacey has a warmer vest. We are planning to go in August and Iam trying to figure out the weather and clothing we need to take.
Loved this video. I've heard about the Blue Mountains many times, but aside from a vlog I saw about a year ago where someone visited in thick fog, I didn't know much about it. The different modes of transport that meant you could get away with not needing to do an epic hike out looked very cool. Was loving the colours at the end with the sun setting, and that waterfall from the gondola was spectacular! How long was the drive between the town and the nature parts - assuming it was close as you kept going back and forth?
It’s about an hour and a half from Sydney. Easy to get to. Echo point is only a few minutes from the town centre. A hop on hop off bus runs all day so it’s super easy to get around. Highly recommend the blue mountains. A camera just doesn’t do it justice. The scenery is jaw dropping
Yeah like Glenn said below, the camera really doesn't do it justice - even with our wide angle lens you just can't take it in anywhere near as much as you can in person. Yeah Scenic World and the 3 Sisters lookout are next door and the towns are all minutes away, so it's not as isolated as some attractions like this are around the world
Katoomba is a decent town with 8k people, and its built up area continues into Leura and Wentworth. This whole area has a population of 13k added up and has a lot of hotels and resorts.

Loora makes sense! And thanks for the tips, no doubt someone else will read this and have the best time there thanks to you
@@DanegerAndStacey It's Leura, not Loora. Little difference in the pronunciation, but there is one.

Hi guys! Loved the video. Will be visiting Aus soon and would like to experience the skyway. Are drones allowed to be flown from the cablecar?
Sadly no drones anywhere in this area, the team shared with us some drone footage so we could show you all how epic it is!

You should have asked someone (like me) to take you to the Anvil Rock in the Blue Mountains. That would have blown you away too!
Oh really? I'm not sure we came across that in our research, is it more of a local thing?
