It’s a little sad how many adults would say the same things as these kids. They never grow out of this stage. Thought that boy is right - many adults secretly hate art and only pretend to like it.
I think people hating on it is kot necessarily a bad thing since hate is an emotion as strong as love sometimes.. but yeah there are many more who dont understand it and instead of like, ignoring it, they act like they love it to make themselves seem more interesting than they actually are

5:49 the Real Starry Night in person is one of the most emotion invoking pieces of art I’ve ever personally physically seen and I have seen Art from the Louvre to the Reijksmueseum. Seeing the depth of the paint, the emotion in each stroke, the chaos in trying to interpret his vision and mental health … when this child someday stands in front of it I believe he’ll change his mind. The flatness of a print or photograph of it doesn’t do it justice. He was a Master for a reason. 😅 so young ….
There are actually 21versions Van Gogh made of Starry Night… this is one piece of a series, the most popular of the series and pretty much the only thing they recognize from his works… 🫤
Trueeee!! even I have never seen this famous version of Starry Night before (the one in MoMA) but I've seen the other version of it in Paris (at Musee-Orsay). When I first saw that one I cried. I can't explain the feeling but Van Gogh arts are so powerful and emotional, his choice of colors and every brushed was so powerful.

I’d seen so much by such a young age but the first time I saw that painting… I stood there and wept. I didn’t understand that art could move you on a physical and mental level until that very moment and I’ve been hooked ever since ❤️ it’s so magical to know there’s another person who stood in that very same spot and had the same moment… very special. Thanks so much for sharing ☀️
