“I was hoping to have real food…rice and beans”…yeah, you guys adhering the typical brazilian speech hahahaha
They've fully converted.
Comida de verdade! Real food!
You stopped after lunchtime, unfortunately (when bus drives stop to lunch they give a 30-minutes break and both they and passengers can eat "comida de verdade").
"Two of us! Two of us!"
Ivana is genuinely brazilian already
As a European living more than a year in Brasil ( moved permanently), Brasil service is usually amazing, buses great comfort, can always manage to get a snack, drink, it’s always convenient everywhere you go! Amazing people and vibes usually always…no place like Brasil folks🔥🇧🇷❤️
🥰🇧🇷💛💚
Thank you for reporting your positive experience ! Where are you from ? Gran Canaria ?
@@Brasileiro222 Greece😀
Thank you, sweet stranger! And your amazingly beautiful country is on the top of bucket list!
Sad to see you two leave Minas, but I'm happy you made it safe! Enjoy Rio
we’ll be back!
@@JetLagWarriors If possible, go back to the Belo Horizonte Carnival, even if it's just for a day. It's sensational, one of the best street carnivals in Brazil. An infinity of street blocks with thousands of extremely excited people and lots of music and dancing.
Ivana referring to rice and beans as "real food" is exactly what a brazilian would say in this situation. Her brazilian citizenship is ready, she just needs to pass by the embassy and grab her brazilian passport. Once you two get married you'll get yours, Steve haha
Actually it’s not normal a delay on bus! I had travelled by bus several times in Brazil. I had only 2 bad experiences because the traffic due Easter holiday.
De 23/12 a 02/01 é uma semana bem caótica mesmo. Até se for no próprio carro vai atrasar.
From my experience in Brazil people usually (I'd almost dare to say 'always') wear their seatbelts on buses, at least when they travel between cities or states. I don't know if it happened with you guys but the driver usually says some things to the passengers before he starts the trip, and one of these things is asking everybody to put their seatbelts on because if the bus is stopped by the Federal Highway Police the fine for the bus company is pretty high for people not wearing seatbelts. And when you're literally in front of the glass (definitely the best seats) it's especially wise to follow this, lol. Also, you should know that generally highways in the northeast and north are considerably worse than in the southeast, so you should really do some research when you leave Rio to check if the roads you're gonna take are safe or if it's better to travel (at least between state capitals) by plane. Great vid as always, cheers!
And more: not wearing a seatbelt is a serious traffic violation with higher fines.
Os cara vive num brasil paralelo kkkkkkkk
@@silmarques that's what he said
@@angelaschrute Né kkkkk
Nice advice tho. Nothern roads aren't in good condition mostly. It's recommended to fly in for safety reasons
Most cars in Brazil are "flex" fueled, using both gasoline or ethanol, you can select which one to use according to the best price at the gas station.
Notice that the cab you used at the arrival in Rio had a yellow tank installed in the trunk. This is a gnv (compressed natural gas) tank installed during a modification to allow this option of fueling, since the gnv gas is cheaper than gasoline, diesel or ethanol.
Some vehicles have this installation made by the manufacturer but is quite common to have this option added by private companies when not offered originally.
i like how in most american movies that portray south america the buses tend to be precarious always represented with animals or sick people inside being that in reality Brazil is known for having some of the most luxurious travel buses in the world (to make up for the lack of trains for long trips)
Luxurious?? Well, I haven't taken those yet...my routes always had the occasional hens, garlic cords, lots of cooked foods smells, you name it...lol...fun when I was young, not anymore
It's true.
@@MommaDee23 yo bro which buses did you take in Brazil? not even our public transport is like that at least not in developed cities
@@Lipez_03 , right, cause the vast majority of Brazil is made of developed cities...sigh...y'all need to get out more 😉
@Mhouston640 , I've never been to Sao Paulo, but I have taken Busses that were headed to Sao Paulo. I've taken the overnight bus from Minas (interior/countryside) to Rio, definitely better reclining than planes, not as bad as the ones I described above, but most definitely not luxurious.
I have taken the Rio-BH rout, daytime, still, not luxurious. Stinky and dirty like all the others. Maybe the bathroom was a bit more usable than the others...maybe
Safety Steve!! Bus looked nice, great seats! You both are so calm with all the chaos in Rio at bus station!! 10 stars. Keep safe, healthy and happy.
I watch your videos just to count how many times you say "muito bom".
@@JetLagWarriors Em Minas não se diz "Muito Bom", se diz "Bom Demaisssssss"!
You can improve it even more saying "Bom demais da conta!"
They should add a Muito Bom!! counter in the corner of the videos 😂
It is too late but if there is a next time, from Rio's rodoviária you could have taken the light rail (VLT) which is right there, either to Carioca or Cinelândia (downtown), then taken the subway either to Catete or Largo do Machado (you were like halfway between them, years ago I used to live right next to the place you stayed apparently, it may not look like it but that area is pretty safe). Also for NYE you could have walked all the way from Catete to Copacabana, it is tradition, you'd be accompanied by literally thousands of people doing the same, it is fun but more fun if you have a big group of people.
Muito bom! Congrats... Brazil´s warm, beautiful and hospitable
I've ridden buses all my life in Brazil and it was never late. You guys are in a bad luck mood.
If you guys pay a bit more you can get the lower seats, they are larger and lay back like a bed, is not a lot of money more, is actually quite cheap. Also, normally you have free water in the back of the bus even for the seats in the second floor, you can find a small freezer next the bathroom with individual seal water cups.
I don't know about not a lot more. They are usually double the price on the routes I take.
I once went from Bh to Rio on one of this beds. And it was what I imagine first class is in an airplane! So nice!!! Definitely worth it.
they got "the fun seats", when i was a kid, i annoying my parents alot to travel on that seat.
OMG I am working when I saw Steve pretending he's driving the bus I just laughed so loud, so funny 🤣🤣🤣
I wanna see after you leave Brazil if you still Will keep saying "muito bom, muito bom" because Its seems automatic now hahaha 😂
Woooooow 6:57 Diablo 1. Now THAT's impressive.
Usually rice and beans is in restaurants, that place is for a quick lunch, maybe is because not enough time for a full meal.
You really got the best seats at the bus, when I travel by bus I always want to get those places but it's always busy hahah. I admire how calm you two are, doesn't matter what happens in the travel you never get angry, at least not on the videos hahaha!
I'm a simple person. I see Diablo 2 on the screen, I hit the like button
09:50 judging by the sound of a whistle, there was a cop there. He gives tickets to drivers that are picking up passegers there.
Best seats 💺. Front row 👌
I think it's a bus 🚌 driving rule to stop every 4h .
Playing Diablo II at Bus was a nice touch ahaha!
Hello , you guys a very nice and always happy on the videos
Just a little think been already a month in Brazil I Think is time to learn more frases not only “muito bom” 😁
The taxi driver asked if you were from France and you answered "Britain"... 😁
ahahaha lol I thought he asked if we speak French! Lol
drink one shot for everytime Steve says "Muito bom!"
lol wake up dead
I have never taken a bus that the departure was as late! And I always travel by bus. Unlucky you!
Your journey is beautiful
Awesome video again! I wish we had de luxe busses in North America like in Brazil and Argentina. You can recline in cushy seats and watch movies. Pretty good! Plus they aren't expensive at all.
Argentina lux travel buses are mostly from Brazilian manufacturers.
You guys are so dearly loved by me so don't go back to Canada happy new year 💛 ✨️ 💗 💕
I recommend trying the traditional Brazilian dish called barreado in the city of Morretes in Paraná. Originating from the fisherman's sites on the coast and passed down through oral tradition for about 200 years, it can now be found in several coastal cities including Paranaguá, Guaraqueçaba, Antonina, Morretes, and Guaratuba. The "Vila Morretes" restaurant offers a unique and delicious experience that should not be missed before leaving the country. Simply spectacular!
visit the northeast region of brazil, it is where you will find the strongest cultural part of how brazil was formed, both the gastronomic culture and the dances and music. and it is also where the most beautiful beaches in Brazil are located, with the warmest waters.
And I noticed that you visited Brazilian beaches a lot, but Brazil is the country with the largest amount of fresh water in the world, try visiting some famous regions of rivers and waterfalls.
How nice you are, guys! I'm from/I live in Rio and I have to say that you are very brave to face my dear crazy and beautiful city! Congrats! 👏🏻 And don't forget Petrópolis: it is really worth it! 🤩
Bus road trips let you see the scenery without worrying about the driving
Wow, playing Diablo 2 during a bus travel? What an experience! 🤣🤣🤣
Did you notice the huge gas tank in your Uber's trunk? Most of taxis in Rio modify their car to run on Natural Gas rather than Ethanol or Gasoline. It's considerably cheaper, and pays off the mod cost pretty quickly.
When driving from São Paulo to Rio, always fill up your tank before crossing the state lines.
ah good to know
my best bro steve looking handsome thank you for your huge respect against cpec friendship countries lot of love from your best bro viki 💙
Love love your jazz music in the videos!!!!!
adorando os videos de voces!!
Nice bus trip! welcome to Brazil!
I just keep coming back to your videos because you guys are so positive! Keep it up! 😊
I love you guys. Always keeping a positive vibe!
And knows how to enjoy a good Salgado!
You gotta eat some CATUPIRY cheese pizza!!!
Your vídeos 📹 in Brazil simple the best!! ❤ you.
Muito bom ver vcs se divertirem. Steve é muito divertido parece uma criança 😆
We hired a cab from Ouro Preto to the Belo Horizonte airport and flew back to the insanely lovely local airport in Rio. The whole process is still time consuming and our route cost more. A lot more. I did enjoy my 5 hour bus trip from Sao Paulo to Paraty though (though I didn’t like the bus as much from Paraty to Rio … too pokey)
The weather is going crazy all over Brazil (and all over the world too)... Here in S.Paulo today temperature is around 18 C / 64 F in a period usually should be around 30 C / 86 F and it's raining almost every day since November and the wind is abnormally cold... and still have people who doesn't believe on climate change!
a terra anda escutando muito Metamorfose ambulante do Raul 🤣🤣🤣
as poltronas no andar de baixo se tornam camas 😉
Yaayy I wish you'd post videos everyday, I'm addicted! ahahahaha
Nice video! I’ve been in Rio for one week Copacabana Impenima and Leblon. Cheers! 💃🏽👙🕺🏽
When I was in Rio I travelled to Sao Paulo by bus. I remember the it to be similar to a first class plane cabin
The diablo gameplay on the run! hahaha awesome man
Omg I have never seen a late bus in São Paulo! Sorry for that experience
It was because of the heavy rains
Nussa! Muitas lembranças com esse vídeo.
To the next adventure!!👍
Amei❤
6:57 nice, i was playing Diablo 2 some days ago, one of my favorite games
Eu amei esse vídeo
Safety Steve is a good husband!!!! Lots of bus accidents in Brazil this time of the year
“Um monte de acidente” mostra estatística aí, e um monte onde ? Brasil é gigantesco, aqui no estado de São Paulo não tem um monte de acidente não. Mania de ficar rebaixando o país.
@@renanmb23 mostra a cara campeao ai te mostro a estatistica
Huh? Never heard about buses in accidents that much here in Brazil. They are usually the safest 🤔
Qual a fonte vira-latas? A tx de acidentes no Brasil é elevada, infelizmente, envolvendo veículos de passeio e caminhões. Há acidentes ocasionais com ônibus de excursões.
In the subtitles "muito bom" turn Michael Bomb... is funny!
Parabéns!!!
Salty snacks were gone but spotted Steve eating Ruffles at the bus 😁. Muito bom 😀
Nice, i hope i can travel and do this kind of stuff someday!
Loucura!
If you want to hang out let me know!! I´m in Ipanema
First comment! MUITCHO BOOOM
Come to Roraima and visit the Tepequem tourism destination, visit the Mighty Mount Roraima and of course our other wonderful tourism attractions! Greetings from Boa Vista, Roraima!
Wow ....Very Nice...
After this travel i hereby you guys oficially brazilians! 😂 Loving to see you guys ''discovering'' Brazil!
PS: Loved the Diablo II part, one of the best games of my childhood 😁
When you talked about the 75 people screaming "hey you want taxi" I really felt it. That's 100% Rio's bus station
Muito bom, muito bom!
Nice video
You need to visit Natal-RN, it's very beautiful place and the people are friendly.
Good luck God bless you
30” “ai caramba!” Look at you! ☺️☺️
Very good muitcho bom
I travel b/w Rio and SP on bus..Very smooth
Sejam bem vindos ao Brasil.
Muito bom =)
Muito legal gostei muito
Muito bom...!!!
6:48 nice footage
you guys should check for Buser and Flixbus, they have crazy offers from time to time like Rio x SP 19.90 reais. Also, some routes offer "bed seats" called leito and they are pretty comfortable.
Em 4:30 do vídeo... chegaram na minha cidade. Barbacena/MG.
Muito bom
Vocês pássaros estão em todos lugares .🇧🇷
In Paraná state the bus always leaves on time, lost a few...
Theres a lot of ppl in Brazil that are afraid to seat in the seats near the bus driver to avoid be among the deads if an accident happens.
your are very funny.....bem vindos ao Brasil....welcome to Brazil
