Rutger Hauer came up with the idea of the dove being released. In his earlier movie "Turkish Delight" he releases a dove on the shore of the ocean in honor of his wife who died of a brain tumor. It was something that had meaning for him. Without him, it would have been a very different movie.
I don’t know if you’ve chased the bunny trails that connect Blade Runner, with both Predator franchise, and the Alien franchise. It might be nice if you explore those three combinations and then in tune with what video games match up with predator and alien, that might come full circle, and explain the importance of Blade Runner.
