I upgraded from the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO to the ATEM 2ME Constellation HD, plus a new ATEM SDI Extreme ISO for full SDI-workflow for backup recording and streaming.
Most of all, I wanted the equipment to still fit within my SKB 4U Studio Flyer Case so that transportation remained easy.

Love your work David. Always learning lots from you. I wonder if you will ever get around to making a video about the new travel router wifi6 you have there. Like what settings you have in place for livestream purposes. Everything in between about the router, tips and insight of your configurations. You are I should say one of the people I look up to and pushed me with my streaming gears and gigs. Nothing but awe for the spare time you put in for us.

Hi ! Thank you for your job ! Is it possible to control the constellation inputs with the atem extrem iso ? The constellation interests me just because it integrates the talkback (whith the atem extrem iso you don't have talkback) and the atem 2 M/E is cheaper than ATEM Talkback Converter. Thank you
Just FYI I had a problem with those thin little SDI patch cables. Multiple 200' 12G SDIs connected to the patch panel wouldn't pass signal over those cables. Had to plug direct into ATEM. Interestingly 100' cables have worked fine.
Good to know, thanks! I'll keep an eye on them. I've been running 200' 3G SDI no problem, but haven't really had to test it beyond that so far.

will GL.iNet GL-MT3000 router work better? Can I smart phone tether to it for on location streaming?
Yes, it will have better specs all around, so if you have the additional budget go for that one. That said, I haven’t had problems with the earlier beryl for the purpose of Livestreaming. Check out my recent livestream on the GL iNet Slate router as the specs are very similar to the new Beryl, though the new Beryl has 2.5G network port. All the GL iNet routers have the same features across the board like tethering, Wi-Fi repeater, and network storage.
Burn Baby, burn. Looks as it's getting very hot insider your case. Did you have any losts meanwhile?
It’s a good point, but no, the equipment is doing well. The back of the case is open, plus I have a fan there, and I leave the top lid ajar too, so there’s plenty of airflow. And the extreme is propped up too.
David how has having the ATEM mini as your recorder worked in practice out in the field? One reason I am hesitant to move to the Constellation is losing the ISO record capability and I'd rather not have to invest in a bunch of HyperDecks. Any recording solution for more than a couple of ISOs outside the ATEM is several thousand dollars.b
I love it! The SDI Extreme ISO is my favorite unit of the lot, and if I didn’t need more than 8 inputs I’d stick with it. It it’s been great as a breakaway portable unit, and for its main purpose as an ISO recorder for the 2ME. Running companion makes the integration seamless to act as a single unit.

How has your 2ME behaved? We have had to return three of them.
I haven't had any problems with mine. Main gripe is that the media pool is lost on power recycle.

Hi David, In the past I purchased the DJF-32-EXT-VT-3.0 for my Stream Deck but now which one is the good fit for your new setup? Also wondering cause I'm a little confuse, if you're using the Extreme as a recorder, the Hyperdeck as a video player and Atem as a streamer. Do you stream directly from the Blackmagic software or do you use another service with Bonding etc.
Hey! I’m in the process of building a new profile specifically for the 2ME, but for the meantime I’m using my Extreme profile with the 2ME switcher. It works up to 8 inputs, 4 keys, 2 AUX etc… just update the 2ME’s IP number in Companion. With the 2ME as my primary switcher, I send PGM and camera ISO feeds to the Extreme and the Pro, for recording, and to stream.
Hi David, I decided to go ahead and build a kit like yours, because I'm getting tire of having a different setup in Studi and on location. I wonder of noisy the whole kit is for producing a live event in studo. Is your fan low noise?
The AC Infinity fan is quiet on level 1 and loud on level 6. I’ll generally run it around 2-3. You wouldn’t want it right next to a microphone, but 6ft+ and further away it should be ok. The Extreme is fairly quiet; the 2ME a little louder but still ok. In my setup the whole rack is probably 4ft away from my 416 shotgun, just cause it’s a small studio.
