Pure bubblegum pop, right up there with the Archies. Dizzy was a pretty big hit, you couldn’t go to a roller skating party without hearing it.
"Dizzy" was Bubble gum rock for 10 through 15 year olds. It got lots of radio play as I recall.

I remember 'Dizzy'! Played a lot on various radio stations in the UK back in the day. Quite popular I seem to remember.
Loved this Bubblegum pop song!!! My girlfriends and I would sing this at the top of our lungs whenever it came on the radio! C’mon we were in 8th grade. ☺️

Bubblegum pop at its finest. The player was fun but the sound is much better on the computer, plus easier to find the A side of the record.
But, the file on the computer is recorded from vinyl. If you listen close, you can hear a couple clicks. His turntable sounds bad, just because its a budget model with built-in speakers

My local classic rock station still plays this at least once a day. Not my favorite, but it's not a bad song....definitely worthwhile to hear if youve never experienced it before!

Its really long (24 minutes) but really cool. It has a ton of references and it sounds really good.
I have a suggestion for you. Pick any year and then react to either the top 10, 25, 50, or 100 Billboard hits for that year.

Legend in the world of Jazz fusion guitar. His staccato is absolutely unmatched, and in my opinion, hes the greatest guitarist to walk the earth.
Needless to say it demanded a channel change at first note. Thank God for push button tuning.😅
