Interesting comment. Tesla designed an electric car from ground up without influences from legacy car design and manufacturing, BMW and the others go the other direction so naturally they will look to leverage their legacy manufacturing and design expertise which will naturally influence their design and build. Just look at Musk and SpaceX and compare that with what NASA produced and even Boeing's new capsule..

I just realized the robots could operate without any light at all. I know they probably need to be observed - but they could potentially go 24/7 in total darkness. I wonder if the accountants have thought of it. Maybe turn on a cpl spotlights every 20 or 30 minutes for a checkin.
they are mostly doing more intelligent work than using wrenches and welders at the assembly line, that robots easily can do, as programming and service the robots, and so on. The robots makes the workers free to do other tasks

They are simpler if manufactoried correctly like tesla does, the others still use the old way of macking the cars and they will pay the conseguences
