  • Political analyst Dr Levy Ndou says ANC's disciplinary proceedings against its former president Jacob Zuma is a mere formality as Zuma has already proved he's moved on from the party.

If the ANC finds that all that Zuma did was drived by Ramaphosa's wrong doings, then what are they going to do with Ramaphosa?

The ANC is a voluntary club, members join and agree to play by the rules. If you are not happy about direction of travel, you contest for positions and reform the party. Zuma had 30yrs at the top 6 of ANC leadership as DSG, Chair, DP & President when he left office he tried to use proxies & they all lost. Having failed to wrestle power internally now he has gone outside of the organisation and in violation of the constitution of the party, btw the same constitution he used to admonish others when he was leading the party when he was saying ANC will rule until the second coming. Zuma used to say those who are former ANC leaders must keep quiet and let the current leaders lead. He would warn those who disobey the party it’s cold outside the ANC.

The ANC should have dismissed JZ for the Shabir Shaik scandal and it did not. They had another opportunity to dismiss him with the rape case and they, instead, supported him calling the young girl a prostitute and now its them who are behaving like prostitutes always after JZ😂😂😂😂😂

    From the archives
April 2012 *Zuma warns rebels it’s cold outside ANC* continues
Zuma, speaking at an ANC centenary rally, also in Richards Bay yesterday, said party members who hurled insults from platforms in the name of the ANC showed their lack of political education.
He said ANC members were duty-bound to be respectful.
"ANC members have a lot of respect. If you divide [ANC] members you will be exposed. If you insult people, you will chase potential members away from the ANC," said Zuma.
His hopes of serving a second term as ANC president got a shot in the arm yesterday when KwaZulu-Natal Premier Zweli Mkhize pledged the province's support at the ruling party's elective conference in December.
Mkhize said the province had seen that Zuma had done great work as a leader.
"We support him to continue to lead the ANC and the country," said Mkhize.
This is the second coup for Zuma after his ally, David Mabuza, was re-elected as party leader in Mpumalanga.
