For anyone having a problem still. do not, i repeat. do not place your tool folder in another folder you might've created. (sub folder deep) when opening the file. (the tool files for the sims 4) you then open your mods folder. after your mods folder is open you are going to drag and drop the tool into your mods folder. that's it. don't do anything else, else it won't work. it should work when you press: shift + t in game but don't forget to put testingcheats true on. (in live mode) you're welcome. ❤

Edit: I just found out it's a mod and now I realized she even said it lol
it didn’t work for me, but if you also get the BBB(better build buy) mod with the TMEX TOOL mod, then u can use shift+t in build mode.
Shift T doesn't work for me. Am I doing something wrong?
you have to get better buy mode plus you need whole folder in order it to work.
i tried downloading the tool mod with better build and buy but when i try to press shift + t nothing pops up and idk what i did wrong
update : finally got it to work i had to just shift + left click on the object instead of shift + t
this didn't work for me unfortunately all i got was reset object or delete object

Love your videos. I download the TOOL mod just so I can have your apartments that you have build with it. I tried to download the apartment where you made a patio but it would not work for me. Hopefully it will work now since I downloaded the mod.

Yes, as long as you follow my steps, the issue with this comes with the Move Tool

I just downloaded the T.O.O.L mod today! Really having problems figuring it all out, so thank you so much for the tutorials! On a slightly unrelated note, I also downloaded TwistedMexi's Better BuildBuy mod today. I was going to also get the FreeCam mod, but their BBB mod page says not to do so as it's included in BBB. I'm wanting to take screenshots for some stop motion filming, but can't figure out how to remove items while in FreeCam mode. When I exit out to delete an item, the camera moves which is annoying as I have to waste time trying to get it back where it was in FreeCam. Is there a way to keep the camera still? Can I delete items in FreeCam mode?
You can't remove items in free cam mode at all lol
I'm also struggling. I have somehow toggled a building and now can't it aligned again. :( I was just trying to change doors and windows.

Hi, I have the tool mod and better build and buy but when I download your builds off the gallery none of the windows or doors come included. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to manually add the windows and doors back? Thank you!
I think unfortunately that that is just the way the game works. You’ll have to place them manually. I hope that we get a better system for uploading apartments to the gallery 💜

The tool mod never works for me any advise when I click shift T nothing happens
I think it would be 1 of two things. Either it is not installed properly or you need to use it in Live Mode. If you also have the Better Build And Buy mod you can use T.O.O.L. in Build Mode.
What version T O O L are you using because I just downloaded it, and it doesn't open using Shit+T.

i downloaded this and all my build mode cc is not in game hut my mods and cc are enabled
Is it normal that all my other mods are no longer displayed in the game once TOOL is downloaded. It took me a really long time to have the TOOL Mod in the game and then suddenly everyone was gone. As soon as I removed the TOOL Mod from the Mods folder, everyone else was back. Does anyone know anything about it?

for some reason, I can delete the windows just fine, but when I go to place new ones, it says I can't because I'm placing objects outside my owned lot... any ideas why?

Good tutorial but still an incredibly tedious mod to use. Finally got the window inside the wall only to have displaced the entire apartment building beneath me LOL

that's what I'm having an issue with! I was like "oh sweet a TOOL tutorial, time to build my dream apartment!" and then the instant it started I was like "welp, can't do that" 😂
