    So far no Indian observer who talks about China has impressed me, and they are more likely to use creative descriptions instead of professional scholarship.

    how is China a declining great power ? and Russia a near superpower ?
    Russia has nothing except it's hard power or military that too is facing difficulty in Ukraine.
    also, India is rising but it's not in anyplace near the 3 big powers when it comes to global significance. Follow any international news and you'll know that.

      Why didn't ranveer interview you? You seem to have much more knowledge than abhijeet chavda. OMG I'm starstruck. China's average age of working population is rising that's why it is declining. And Russia's nuclear bombs make it near superpower, and India is 4th in number but is rising. hence rising middle power.

      @@vinaykanth4672 What you don't know is China has a large population advantage when it comes to its work force compare to India and almost every single G7 nations. China has a work force that is 40% larger than India, it also has a skilled work force 8 times that of India. Also increase medium age does not translate to lost in productivity

    • @vikramchauhan5283
      @vikramchauhan5283 Před 6 dny

      @jliang70 extrapolate the working age population to 2100 and you will see the quantity and quality difference of the populations of both India and China. Rise of nations as powers is a long term game and China has massively hurt itself owing to its decades of one child policy

    the US & china are going for G2 - they are taking out every other would-be competitor including India so "declining" isn't the word I'd use to describe them.

  • @jliang70
    @jliang70 Před 9 dny

    USSR actually collapsed because it carried through a war time budget from 1941 to 1980, what that means is that Russia largely spent its money on military, this was the reason why Russia still has pretty much first class missile technology in the world, some estimated that Russian actually spend almost half of its money on military, about 17% of its GDP, in doing so Russia largely ignore the development of other aspect of its economy. The global supply chain we see today was not much of a factor in 1940-1980. I don't think Abhijit Chavda actually understand the history on Russian navy. Russia had a complete different approach to navy after WW2, they believed they can use submarine and also with superior fighter jet and missile technology they could offset the military balance without the need for large aircraft carrier. This was a well documented doctrine for Russian navy after WW2. When you look at the map of Russia and its satellite states it is not difficult to see why they had this sort of thinking.

    China treasury 1 Trillion USD wont create so much turbulence since US debt market is so big which can easily absorb them.

    • @jliang70
      @jliang70 Před 9 dny

      Sure, but if China starts offloading US bonds there will be a flow on effect to the other nation. US will be paying about 1 trillion every year to service its debt and there is no sign that this spending will be under control in the next few years, that will just mean more interest payment. When you look at last year the US budget revenue is 4.9 trillion and budget deficit is 1.2 trillion ( the government spending is at 6.1 trillion), this year the budget deficit will be 1.5 trillion. So in 23-24 the US will add 2.7 trillion to its debt and because it is in a budget deficit it actually had to raise more debt to cover the interest repayment, you basically seeing the effect of interest snow balling. Just imagine this you borrowed a loan and you can't repay even the interest with your current income because you have no money left after you spent all to feed yourself and paying for utilities, car loans and other expenses, what is your bank going to say when you approach them for new loan to cover your interest repayment on loans, the first thing is that they will consider you a high risk for providing your a loan and then they will provide you a loan at higher interest. This is what will happen to the US, the countries that bought your debt will think extra hard to buy the debt (providing a loan).

    When you put your emotions on your analysis, you get such a rubbish analysis. China is still rising larger than India. It’s in India’s interest to collaborate with Chinese where they can but take necessary precautions.
