@@tomb.2224 99% is a great exaggeration. I was given a puppy when I was 5 years old and I loved and took care of that beautiful dog until the day she passed at 15 years old. That kid looks like he loves his puppy a lot and I don't see that changing considering he seems like a nice lad
@@JerseyJake98 that's alway sin the beginning, most puppies end bad 98 % only 2 % stay with kids around . i've seen many people with kids dropp of their dog when older and Yes they're mostly family with chidlren
I love that when he said "I'm gonna cry" & she reassured him by saying "it's okay"
There's so much power in that reassurance because even though I'm not a man/boy I know that they're taught to "show no emotion" or not to cry
It makes me want to cry because I wish I had the safe space as a kid to cry and just be human

That’s the part that made me cry. As someone who grew up unable to express themselves (towards this day) it made me feel relieve that she said that to him. Beautiful. Wish I had that growing up.

This will be one of the best decisions ever made by a parent. The unconditional love from a dog is priceless! He'll learn responsibility and this family will experience happiness that money can't buy! This mom is doing a great job raising her children. The fact he's able to express his emotions tells me he is loved.
And kudos to them for waiting since no one was home during the day prior to getting the dog. Dogs add so much to life. Well, all pets do.

I'm 64 years old I'm a man and that made me cry that's what we need in this world 🤣 tears of joy it's a wonderful to cry and that sure as heck doesn't make him a Sissy makes him a wonderful human being I've bet he will grow up to be a fine young man and probably have a family just like that on his own! And this is what American needs this kind of stuff

No matter how many times I watched this on Twitter and now here, it always makes me tear up. I love how he was still smiling even though he was obviously initially disappointed with the "gifts." Kudos to the parents for being awesome parents and raising this kid right .

Loves this mom. Teaching her son it's okay to show whatever emotion it is he's feeling. Too many parents make their children bottle up their emotions.

This is one of the most gorgeous new puppy surprise video I’ve seen and he seems like such a sweet, kind, kid. Congratulations buddy, hope you and little fluff ball have many adventures together.
For those asking why they didn't get a dog sooner - mom explains why in the video. She and her husband both worked outside of their home and they did not want to crate a poor puppy all day. Now she has a job where she works from home so she can look after him without having to constantly crate him, giving the dog a better quality of life. Her child is 12, so a good age for him to have his first dog that he can grow up with and learn responsibility in taking care of him.
Crating animals is cruel. I've seen many videos on here which really have nothing to do with pets specifically and these people will crate their dog at night while they sleep even! I think someone should crate THEM and see how THEY like it!

@@amm6569 Exactly! The mother had to chose between making her child happy when it came to a pet and committing what I consider to be animal cruelty. My late grandmother used to tell me there are blessings in everything, even the most horrible situations. This damn virus has created a shift in the workplace dynamic which allows many professionals to now work from home. Which allowed the mother to secure a position doing just that and thus to make her boy happy by getting him a dog. They just look SO adorable together in that last photo!
I cried with this video. I know how special having a Dog is. I've had 4 dogs in my life time they have all been loved and spoiled rotten! Two of them already passed one was 18 and the other 12-13. The one living with us now is already 14 and doing amazing for her age. I will adopt another one really soon.

I LOVE the end photo. They just look SO adorable together! There is just something about a boy and his pet that tugs at your heart. God bless the little dude. I know full well what its like to have the mutual love and devotion with a pet. With me, it was cats. But never let anyone tell you a cat can't show as much love or be as devoted as a dog.
Watching this video and seeing this young man interacting with his parents restored my faith in family. I hope he never changes!

I’m glad they waited to get a dog until they had the time for one! I wish more people did that, the shelters wouldn’t be jam packed with animals that were taken on by people who never should’ve gotten them in the first place.

Such a good guy. 🥰 That’s how my son reacted when we told him he could adopt the puppy we found and fostered while they looked for any owners. After keeping her nearly two months, I would never have taken her away, but he didn’t know that. He cried every time he would pick her up for two weeks.

My first puppy was a female Labrador & golden retriever hybrid. I got her when I was 11/12 years old & she changed me for the better as a person and helped raise me into an adult. She will always be my special girl forever even tho I have my current beautiful black Labrador girl & service dog in my life. My first dog taught me so much and helped prepare me to be able to fully fund and raise my puppy into an amazing service dog and forever friend. She is my first dog that I didn’t need help from my parents to support and care for. I have Kaycee to thank for that. ❤️

Twitter has always offered employees remote options before the pandemic, and you don't need to be a high end developer to work there. Most software solutions offer remote positions in sales (but it's not cold calling or billing).
Great story. The power of dogs is indisputable. The story for me, my older brother traded me for a dog when we were kids. Reportedly, it was VERY difficult to reverse the trade.

And the most important thing from this was instead "DON'T CRY" it was "That's Ok!" We will NEVER get rid of toxic masculinity if we don't ALLOW boys to show emotions in a healthy way, out in the open, in a loving environment. There was so many lessons to learn from this video & this brief interaction. He even said "thank you" when she said Happy birthday. I simply can't love this enough.

This is perfect! We just got our family a puppy for the first time. We have two boys and our 10 year old has been asking for a dog nearly his whole life as well. It's been a dream come true for all of us. We love her so much! Thankfully we are also in the position to stay home with her so she won't be crated too often.
