- The Tivoli Model 3 BT is an unusual clock radio as it combines an analog clock with sophisticated FM reception and Bluetooth. But is is worth its incredibly high price? Watch my review for my personal opinion.

I bought model two radio in 2005 it’s still going very well. I’ve recently built a small subwoofer to match and use the aux in to feed it Tidal. It’s a quality product that will last a very long time. Sound quality is excellent from such a tiny full range driver.
Great info...thanks! (Please review a Sangean WR-50)
:-)
Scored a Tivoli at the thrift store
I too am moving on to another radio as my Boston Receptor is dying. It's got an ever-increasing hum issue. I took it apart hoping to see a bulging capacitor or two, as this would be repairable for me, but didn't see anything obviously wrong. Tranformer issue?
The problem with Bluetooth built in is you can’t usually upgrade its firmware, much prefer external add on.
Hello Dr. Mike. At 3:22 minutes into your video you mention that Model 3 BT has a 60 minute sleep timer. Is this correct? I have been told be Tivoli that all their Model 3s are 20 minutes. Paul in Oz.
Paul Mitchell hmm, I'll have to check.
What’s your recommendation for am reach? I just ordered a Sanguin for that reason.
The Sangean has good Am reception
I just received my model 3. Off eBay. Unless I’m missing something. The clock doesn’t work
I bought a Sangean WR-16 SE $111.12 including tax
Awaiting delivery in India
I paid $100 for model one on sale eons ago. Thought it was pricey then. There is no esoteric tech in it other than the radio's good reception and decent sound. It looks good but it is no Bang & Olufsen.
Bang & Olufsen is junk now, they haven't been anything special for 45 years, this three radio is worth it
@@bobking7347 I agree with B & O innovations, nada.
@@rabit818 Same here, but they're nothing to write about now like many classic brands, they went to the way of China and are pretty much just a name compared to what they used to be like 50 years ago.
Yeah even 150 bucks would be quite steep. Why does Tivoli overvalue their stuff so much? All these radios are basically 200 bucks too expensive. At juuuust around 100 bucks I'd say "Ok, it's a deal". It's quite a shame. Sangean doesn't have anything nowhere as close to this model here. At least not with an analog clock like this. I like the mechanic alarm set and the fact it runs on a single AA battery that even powers the emergency buzzer. I don't need bluetooth because they usually keep the older Bluetooth audio standards that add extra compression to the audio.. Even though lossless is now already possible with the latest BT audio standard, i think.
I don't think they make this radio anymore all the ones on eBay are used ones
U sound like you’re from Milwaukee
Close-Chicago area.
@@Drmikekuna I go to Milwaukee all the time fun city I only been to Chicago a few times
fully disagree, this radio is worth the money
Is this guy wearing red lipstick?
