  • Time to finish the railings and the Skirt boards to close up the ramp and decking. I show you how to space out deck railings. Be sure to check with your City for proper design specifications. I also talk about how to visually make deck railings line up perfectly every time.

    What do you think about using Butyl tape on the top of the beams to protect them from moisture. Just a thought. You are an amazing instructor and very pleasant to listen too! Thank you for all you do.

  • @TEXASpatriot76

    The tips and tricks are amazing! Thank you.... I realize this is a 7 year old video. But we have ran slap out of half decent wood. Even spending big bucks on high quality lumber you get horrible lumber. 😢

    I really like the look of the brown pressure treated lumber. I don't think they have that here in New Jersey

  • @canufi6my

    Two screws in bottom for vertical support, only one screw needed in the top since the two bottom screws stop the pivot point.

    Hello Jeff,

  • @tgilldesign
    @tgilldesign Před 4 lety

    Question from a greenhorn.....why are the tops of the ballesteros slightly angles underneath the top flat railing board? That looks visually unappealing to me....shouldn't the top of the ballaster be cut 'square's and butted right up under the top railing board.....with just the bottom of the ballaster angle cut? Thanks for the explanation.
