As somebody who's read only 4 romance books, it was really interesting to hear your thoughts on this and Beach Read (a couple of videos back). I slightly preferred this one to Beach Read :) I'm totally with you on the miscommunication after the incident, but there's a fair amount of 'lack of communication', which I find more realistic. I enjoyed the building and establishment of the friendship before things got romantic. Though the banter and emotional depth is better in Beach Read, I wasn't really rooting for anybody. I wonder if it comes down to who you relate to, as I can relate more to Alex than either of the characters in Beach Read. If it's OK to ask, what was your partner reading during the vlog?
Completely understandable! I think you’re right I related way more with the characters in Beach Read which is why I think it hit so hard. He was reading The Powder Mage trilogy! I plan to read it when he’s done with it!
