- "Time Table" by Mike Keneally (a Genesis cover of a song originally on Foxtrot). The ending also references the "Apocalypse in 9/8" section of "Supper's Ready."
Recorded in 1996 and previously unreleased, the song was taken from the charity compilation album After the Storm: A Benefit Album for The Survivors of Hurricane Katrina, released in 2005.
Band lineup:
Mike Keneally: guitar, vocals
Bryan Beller: bass
Toss Panos: drums

the best cover of this song! I love the guitar solo.
Time Table for most people is the slowest tune on Foxtrot but with the added "Apocalypse in 9/8" and "Suppers Ready" end passages that fit so well this one tune feels like a mini Foxtrot album on it's own. Like the original very sweet and nice instrumentation but with Mike playing the keyboard dominant songs parts on guitar. Starting like a jazz trio using brushes the recording continues adding harmonic layers for the climatic world is maybe ending..... ending.... Very good.
I'm really enjoying this version - it's not one of my favorite Genesis songs but you're really brought it to life here.
Wow this is awesome! Very nice rendition of one of Genesis' chillest songs.
So genuine, I love your energy : )
the art of jazz and blues .. peter and phil must be proud
Both are Tony's compositions... Peter had never been involved in the writing process.
A bit surprised to see who's the one credited for covering this piece. I've seen Keneally perform with Vai, and am well aware of his strong association with the Zappa family, among his many other contributions to the world of progressive music. Had no idea he was into the Genesis stuff though. The singing kinda makes me imagine Jerry Garcia covering ol' Genesis, lol. Always felt that Time Table was definitely one of their many underrated Gabriel-era tunes. Can-utility was for sure the best though. It's cool to finally hear someone (besides myself for once) double the 9/8 keyboard solo with some high-gain lead guitar!
You should also check out his homages to Yes : Stanley Snail - Siberian Khatru (with the late and great Kevin Gilbert and Nick D'Virgillio) and his own composition "Faithful Axe". And his version of Gentle Giant's "No God's a Man".
Better than the original ! In fact, I only like Supper's Ready, from the whole album ...
Not in the slightest
