I love the comments - I just came back to this thread. I was part of the choir from the United Nations International School who sang with the Bee Gees on this song. My classmates and I all presented awards to each of the stars. I clearly remember, because on international TV, whoever had it, Olivia Newton John gave me a kiss. WOW!! I didn't want to wash my face for weeks. I still love all the artists who gave all of themselves for such a great cause.!! Looking back - it was an amazing event for an amazing reason.

This performance is obviously lip synched. If you can't hear how every nuance of the studio version is the same (you'd do at least something slightly differently in a live performance) then maybe you can recognize the fact that the vocals and the orchestra fade out just like the record instead of an actual ending as there would be in a live performance. This has nothing to do with how much money the song raised or the fact that the Bee Gees perform very well live. It's just that the audio in this video is not from a live performance, so either they decided the audio from the actual show wasn't good enough and replaced it with the record or they actually used prerecorded audio for the concert.
And that organization is a FRAUD!! Those kids did not get that $$
