I’m the person that made the Instructable. Great video of the project! Thanks for sharing it! I had an SE30 after my Mac Plus. Maybe I’ll make a version of your design. 😉
Thank you so much C Genco :) You made an awesome model! I hope you didn't mind me modifying it :O !
@Rylin Gough a while back someone mentioned that it wasn’t available. I found an email address in the documentation for the screen and asked. They said Amazon should be getting more.
Heya! Do either of you know where we can find a screen that would work? The one you used seems to be sold out everywhere! Is there another one that will fit, or is there a redesign for supporting a new screen? Cheers!
@@JamesNUFC99 looking into it
@Rylin Michelle Gough I got another email from the screen manufacturer after the updated version was very different. Experimenting with some others. I’ll update the Instructable when I have mor info. Happy thanksgiving!
Veronica Explains sent me.
I feel like I'm watching videos for an after-school computer club, and I'm here for it.
I can’t believe how adorable Porti-Maccy is!
Apart from finding the project technically just really neat, the whole atmosphere of this video has absolutely cheered me up! Thank you! 👍
I'm so happy you enjoyed it :)! Maccy says hiii!
6:36 "It's like that old saying goes - measure twice, melt once" - love this!
This is so cute and cool! I think this is going to be one of the first projects I make when my X1 Carbon arrives next week!
I just discovered your channel through your appearance on the Retro Mac Cast. I love everything you are doing with it! As a fellow post production nerd I can’t imagine the amount of work you put into each of these videos. Great job! Instant subscribe.
Oh thank you so much!
That midi of "Return of the Mack" at the end was hot!
Great to see you're up and running and making videos again after the move (love the very appropriate choice of end credits music). It's a really nice project, it came out looking really good.
So awesome! Came out really well. Oh no, more Lemmings. Such a fun game.
Just discovered your channel and it's instantly a favourite.
This is fantastic! Your video was so informative and entertaining. I'm looking forward to doing this build. Thank you for all the work you put into this!
I've been wanting to do this project for a while, and I love that you've made an SE/30 version of the model! It still seems like the software configuration will be a bit of a pain, but I'll have to give it a try
Hi Jabba! Let me know if you need help!
Great, clear and easy to follow instructable. What a neat project!
Wow! That is very neat! Who would have thought you could do that!
What cute character Mackie is
I saw the post too I would love to make one of these. Great work on changing the design
Just found your channel through Action Retro’s Next Station video. Very cool stuff! I’m fairly new to the classic Mac scene, and I can’t wait to try this out for myself.
"Ha ha ha, SSH" - :)
9:23 Whoa, Deja Vu 2. I never got to play that one, but the first one was really cool.
great video, nice to see projects like this
Very nice! I might have to build one. Favorite line "Ha, ha! SSH!"
You should build one ! :)
OMG Everything in this video was delightful! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a very cool project! Great job!
This exact video earned my subscription today Mrs. Fox! Exceptional content. Already queuing up more!!
I see you got a really big collection. And also Maccy, a very original idea. Keep it like that, Macintosh Libranian!
You lost me at LCD screen. However,.. a similar sort of project stuffed in a mini Monochrome portable tv would be pretty dope, and more up my alley. ❤
wee wee mac ..amazing its actually working
I found this channel a few days ago because im rebuying my childhood macs, i regret selling them or too young to restore them back then. Now i can't even get any Macintosh for sale in my country, all i have left is the apple desktop bus mouse 2 from my childhood. I always wanted to do a Macintosh project with a twist since importing from other counties is expensive for me, I want a raspberry pi with lcd display but will try to keep shell snow white design (if i have enough time and resources i wish to make a Hartmut Esslinger working prototype). Can't wait till your next video about the apple 2c lcd, would really be interested to see it from many angles. Great channel ms. fox and maccy I subscribed.
Awesome Video! I think you did a really nice job with this little SE/30, maybe someday soon I should invest in a 3D printer of some kind so I can build stuff like that too!
Looks so good! I made the original model, but I think I’ll have to make this one too! I like the tip to melt the hex nuts. I used plastic nuts which deformed just enough to pop into place.
I love the graphics in this video!
I have a Prusa Mk3 on the way, so I think I know what the first big print I do on it will be!
Oooo the Prusa’s are really nice printers! This is a fun toy to make! Let me know if you make one :)
@@MacintoshLibrarian will do! Yeah, excited to get it. I’ve had an ender 3 for a couple of years but figure it’s time for an upgrade:)
YAY! I missed you two!
That Is So Neat Thanks For Showing Us I Will Have To Built One Of Them And Tell Maccy That Fredericka Is So Happy To See You And Maccy
really cool project
Entertaining and informative video. Love it !
Y'know, I've wanted to make a bigger version for a Pi 3 A+ and a Hyperpixel 4.0, and these models have given me some inspiration! Thanks!
That would be cool!
Great print with an awesome tutorial, kudos
1:47 Ahhhhhhh your place is haunted or your chair is alive like Maccy!!! 😂😂😂
so cool! well done!!!
You've got such a cool children's show vibe with the mac sidekick character, subbed!
This video was informative and a pleasure to watch. I think your channel will go far.
Thank you sooo much for watching and enjoying my video
This is now my favorite CZcams channel.
Great Build!! Very nice and informative video. I saw the thing (Thingiverse) a few days ago. I printed it but, I did not have the beige color filament. I'm going to attempt to continue to follow the video for the pi/software version. If there are any questions...Is this the right forum for questions? Also, my display is arriving today. I've owned a Plus and SE before.
O_O its a mini computer! *mind blown*
I love this channel so much!
This is awesome!
Very good re-made! :) Congratulations..
I love Maccy!!!
I hope you can tell us how you create Maccy! They are a great compliment to the video.
amazing project. thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
verrry coo lil project!! luv it!! great use of the 3D printing + arduino + emulator combo. thxu ms fox! 👾
My pleasure!
Very cool!
Very cool! I have been following the Instagram posts, so cool to see the video on this. Great video!
Thanks Chris for watching ! Maccy says hiii
This is so cool!
Verry cool project!
Great work, Kate! Love it!
Thanks 🙏🏻!
I loved this video!!!! Thank you @Macintosh Librarian
What an awesome video! Thanks for showing the Raspberry Pi setup in-depth. So many tutorials glaze over that stuff! Also, where did you get your earrings?
Glad it was helpful! I made the earrings using a 3d model my friend made for me :) then i printed with my 3d printer and added maccy's face with a 2d printer
That was a great one!!!
That’s nuts!
Oh my good gravy, I need to make this.
Sooooo cool. Thanks
amazing! pretty
Love it!
CUTE VIDEO!
Wow! Sorry I missed this one. It passed me by until today.
Now Maccy's got a friend :D
Insanely Great!
Thanks for watching! I need to get one of your blankets soon 😎
Just found your channel and automatically had to subscribe after this video your content is so cute and funny all while be educational i love!
Great video tutorial. That would be an awesome gimmick on my desks. 👍
It really is a nice desk toy ! And you can put on the After Dark clock screensaver for added usability
Amazing video! Subscribed!
Interesting and well presented. I have a 3D printer and all sorts of Raspberry Pi stuff. Hmm, it’s doable. Thanks from Orlando Florida
ROFL ! “What does sssshhhh do”… awesome tutorial
The talking macintosh is cute
Oh wow! This is awesome! Also, the last time I worked on a smallened project, I was making my Pi-based Amiga; but the smallest 480-row display I could find was 4". I had no idea there was a 2.8" 480 row display! I'm gonna have to get one of those! :D (Also, I just subscribed, Hi!)
Hermosos videos
awesome.😄
I assume you use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. I've never messed with a Raspberry Pi but have been meaning to! A small keyboard and mouse would be fun to add.
Awwww, so adorable. I also liked the excellent mini Mac project! 😉. Seriously though, an excellent video.
Is the link to the screen different now? The linked screen isn’t 640x480.
Awesome video, love that you modified the drawing to an se30 and shared the file.
I always have issues getting things to fit into the holes of my prints =/
Oh man this is so cute. You did a marvelous job modifying the Mac Plus model to be a Mac SE. Great job all around, another fun video.
Did you make the modified files available as a derivative work for others who prefer a SE over Plus?
I have the modified STL files available in the description on this video. I will post the SketchUp file soon! I forgot to add that 😮 ! Thank you for watching !!
@@MacintoshLibrarian I just noticed it. Thanks for the heads up. I quickly skimmed it the first time and missed it because I was looking for a Thingaverse link or popular 3D printing site rather than Dropbox. That’s on me. My mistake. Thanks again for sharing the files, they better than any of the SE I’ve found on Thingaverse to date.
I should get it on Thingiverse asap! I will post it as a remix of the original model
@@MacintoshLibrarian I can see it being a popular print on Thingaverse. The SE and SE/30 are fan favorites, and you put a lot of work on getting a faithful SE appearance with all the detail work. Yep remix it, throw in credits, and a link to the project and there can be a fleet of mini Maccys.
Dear Ms. Fox, Hi, like all your video very nice, one question the Raspberry Pi zero cannot be found on the market today for $10 box, do you know if I can use the Banana PI BPI M2 zero for this project tsk and best regards.
You made me watch all that, and its not a full size even? We want full size!
Brilliant use of return of the “Mac”
Mac is back !
Hey, the Pi 0 W (Pi Zero W) is discontinued. What other board can we use please?
can we make it for a 10.1 raspberry pi lcd?
Es justo lo que me gustaria hacer solo que con una Raspberry pi 4 y con cuerpo de lamina negra pintada del mismo color o almenos con un tono parecido
Cuute :D does this project compatible with the new pi zero 2 w ?
This is something I am looking into. Should be 100 compatible
LOL! "Hahahaaaaa, SSH!" Oh, Maccy.
I love this Mac 💜🥰
Thanks Mark!
Dont know if anyone will see this but i have completed this and was wondering if there is a program or code for Maccy or something similar I can install on mine?
Macintosh Earrings? Now that's what I call a proper Maccie!😅
Yes!! You noticed ! I love them 😍 I need to wear them out and about more
That is ultra cute.
i like mini macintosh! 🖥
Great!!! someone should make a market and sell the complete sets of the shrinked vintage-Apples.
Nice 👍🏾
Thanks 💯
Me encanta, deberías construir una mini macboook (1181)🤩
I plan on getting an Ender 3 soon! Gotta make a little buddy for my SE
It’s a great model! Relatively easy to print too :)
