    • @ignaciovelosobahamondes2744
      @ignaciovelosobahamondes2744 Před 7 lety

      I agree that he talks about him too much (even though that's debatable, it's his channel after all), but when I come to this channel I already know what I'm going to see. It's like, if I go watch Skip Bayless (I usually don't like him because he manages to be even less objective when it comes to LeBron, but sometimes he makes good points) I know I'm going to hear him dismiss everything good he does and somehow talk about Ray Allen's shot in 2013.
      Also, I think in this instance talking about LeBron is appropriate since he just swept Indiana while averaging a near triple double.

  • @tkinsey3
    @tkinsey3 Před 7 lety +7

    For those that don't consider LeBron clutch: Go back and watch the final 1-2 minutes of the biggest games LeBron has played in recent years (specifically Playoff games). If the games are close, just watch him. Have you ever seen him make a mistake? Seriously. He orchestrates EVERYTHING. He brings the ball up, he directs traffic, he knows what the defense wants to do. He gets the matchup he wants for himself or his teammates, and he executes it to perfection. He does it on defense too! Orchestrating and executing. Blocking shots, getting rebounds and steals. He makes the play because he is one step ahead of everyone. He's playing chess and everyone is playing checkers.
    Now, does that mean the shot always goes in, or that the Cavs always win? Of course not! But the definition of clutch is to not shrink in the moment. To not play too fast, to know exactly what to do and to make that play. LeBron is the smartest basketball on Earth right now. He knows what to do, and he makes it happen. Just look at what he did to the Pacers! Not only last night, but all series. He picked them APART. Last night, with the game on the line, he brought the ball up, and direct his teammates to PnR so that he got Myles Turner on him. Then he torched Turner. CLUTCH.

    • @tkinsey3
      @tkinsey3 Před 7 lety +2

      The players around you have very little influence on how clutch you are (not to mention Kyrie and Love are hurt ALL THE TIME). LeBron blocking Iguodala last year with the Finals on the line wasn't b/c of a superteam, neither was the way he finished off the Pacers. Being clutch is not just about hitting last second shots, that was my whole point. Being clutch is executing the offensive and defensive gameplan with the game on the line, and no one does that better than LeBron.

      @harrygarris6921 Před 7 lety +2

      I think a lot of people think of clutch as only taking the final shot and honestly Kyrie should be taking that shot. But Lebron is clutch in the sense that there is no other player you would rather have leading your team in game 7 of a playoff series.

    No. But that doesn't mean he still can be the greatest player, you don't have to be the most clutch to be the best. You can average 2 points a game, those shots are the last seconds, I will take the guy who makes points, assists, rebounds and everything that makes a team into a championship contender.

    Is LeBron the most efficient in the League? Yes. Is LeBron the most intelligent? Yes. The most clutch? He's has his moments. Depends on your definition. Most people only consider Offensive circumstances clutch. But to me there's NO way you can't call that chase down block on Iggy clutch. He made the free throw that made it a 2 possession game. "Clutchness" is necessarily his strongest attribute, but he has his moments.

      You're nit picking stats (last 10 seconds ? c'mon man, why not last minute or 30 seconds.) LeBron hit the shot to put the Heat up by 4 in game 7 of the 2013 finals, also being clutch doesn't mean you have to hit the last shot.

    • @scoop2448
      @scoop2448 Před 7 lety +3

      2013 game 6, Lebron shot 1 of 4 with 3 turnovers in the last 4 minutes, including 2 turnovers and two missed 3's in the last 45 seconds. Saved by Ray Allen.
      For his reg season career, Lebron is 10-64 on game-tying/go-ahead shots in final 5 seconds (top 5 worst all time).
      Playoff game-winners/tyers with 25 seconds or less
      - Jordan 10/19 (53%)
      - LeBron 8/23 (35%)
      For his career in the Finals, Lebron has shot under 30 percent in clutch time.

    • @scoop2448
      @scoop2448 Před 7 lety +1

      "Saved by Ray Allen?"
      Uhh yes b/c he would have blew the game if not for ray allen being so clutch. What he did in the 3rd is irrelevant especially if he chokes at the end of the game. Clutch is the last mins of the game with the most pressure.
      "What about these times blah blah blah"
      You're focusing on the few times he was clutch and not on all the times he wasn't. No one is saying he's never clutch. It's about is he more clutch than not.
      "Lebron is 6-13 (46%) in game winners while Jordan is 5-11 (45%) in the PLAYOFFS"
      Cherry picked. That doesn't include game-tyers and is only in last 5 seconds. And in the most clutch moment, finals game winners, he is 0/5. MJ is 4/8.
      "In last 24 seconds your stats ARE COMPLETELY WRONG! According to Bleacher Report & Pattani, Lebron is 7-16 (43.8%) while Jordan is 9-18 (50%)."
      Not wrong. 8/23 includes game tying shots.
      And game winners they are wrong. He is 7/18
      bkref.com/tiny/GTHwY
      "in the playoffs, in the 4th quarter or overtime, 0:24 or less left in quarter, shot to take lead"
      "In last two mins in the clutch Lebron is 21-43 (48.8%)"
      Not sure what the parameters on that are but playoff 2 min clutch (score within 5 pts), he is 59/149 (39.6%)
      bkref.com/tiny/eK00D
      "in the playoffs, in the 4th quarter or overtime, 2:00 or less left in quarter, scoring margin between -5 and 5 points"
      Not to mention his career is not over, so expect the % to go down further.

      scoop245 You realize LeBron also hit the 3 to make the score 92-94 with 20 seconds left, right ? Once again if LeBron didn't make that shot Ray Allen's shot is meaningless, saying Kyrie or Ray Allen saved LeBron is just like saying the kicker saved the qb just because he kicked the game winning field goal in the super bowl even though the qb was the one who drove them 50 yards to get them in position in the first place.

    some people think clutch is just making a shot at the last second. Clutch can be coming up from a deficit. And locking down a good player for a good amount of a end of a game. Some people see the pretty last second shots and think that's the only thing that counts for a clutch player

    It depends on what you mean by clutch. If you mean clutch shots, I'd prefer many other players before LeBron. But if you mean clutch performance, considering his passing, basketball IQ and defense; you could argue LeBron is a great clutch player.
