  • Stay at Home and watch these Movies & Shows with your family while we're all under the Corona-virus (Covid-19) shelter-in-place order. Specially chosen for Sci-Fi/Fantasy geek Dads and their offspring, it's an opportunity to take some of the fright out of this scary time as each story centers around coming out the other side of pandemic-fueled conflict, closer and stronger than ever before. Quarantine isn't so bad when you've got loved ones around you and some great, classic entertainment to stream.

So great to see your channel! So glad to see you as a Dad! Have only watched a couple, but it's brilliant, having your own on-screen alter ego. It really is about a conversation, isn't it?

Thanks, Susan. I didn't see your comment till just now, sorry it was so long. Our lives have been upended a bit lately. Parenthood has been a real trip. Love to you!

@@DaddyDaughterMovieNight Erin told me about this channel, so I peeked in. I think I'm looking at around 217 youtube channels from many different perspectives. Just watched a livestream of Robert Phoenix and the Leo King, 2 great astrologers. Parenthood brought my mind to its knees, but my heart took over and I grew a backbone. Love to you and your family! Makes me really happy that you're a Dad!

I wonder what age range you would recommend for ET? My son is almost 4 and that's the age I saw ET. Its probably my earliest memory and I loved it, but the memory was of when ET got sick. I worry that growing up in the 80 skewed my perspective on what's age appropriate

That's a good question, and of course everyone is different. But there was a drive-in near us last summer that showed ET and we tried to take my daughter who was just 6 and a half and she was frightened and wanted to go home. It didn't help that the projector was dim and everything was darker than I remembered. I tried to show it to her a few days later on TV and she still wasn't okay with it. I watched it for a while myself and realized a lot of the early scenes really are a bit spooky. I was a teen when it came out, so I can't draw on personal experience, but I do hope I can get my daughter to see it eventually. Maybe this summer when she's going on 8 would be better. I hope that helps. If you loved it at 4, you might try sooner. For sure, kids from a ways back had it a bit differently!
